I just created my own otg cable and now want to back up my system to my OTG cable but it's not showing up in TWRP. I looked around and something said format the drive to extFAT but it still did not show up . What else could I try to get it to show up? and currently i have TWRP 2.6.3.3 installed

Don't know where you got 2.6.3.3 ...
But for VS980, I have to use 2.6.3.4 to get OTG support.

I'm using TWRP and I'm unable to mount the USB storage in recovery so that my internal and external SD cards show up as removable drives in My Computer. Can anyone else do this?
I don't think so on TWRP
CWM, I believe so--
On CWM there's not an option. In TWRP there is. But it's not working. I'm thinking it's a drivers issue.

Someone on another thread showed the option and said it works, I believe
I know TWRP it does not
Just wanted to follow-up on this. I'm assuming we're still unable to mount USB storage from either CWM or TWRP recovery?
I haven't researched this as I have an iMac and use Android File Transfer
But, some info thru Google Search
http://android.stackexchange.com/qu...amsung-galaxy-s4-storage-and-sd-card-directly
I'd love to have this option working since I'm getting tired of using adb sideload option.
For the Verizon LG G2 which recovery agent is best? I have always used CWM but on this device it made me boot loop and force a hard reset. After restoring the device to stock and spending a few hours I was able to LOKI and TWRP, followed up by GooManager and things work great now! Anyhow I was just wanting to know what others have been experiencing..?

CWM is so yesterday!! TWRP is so much better since it is touch based.
CWM is touch. It also fixes wipe bug and has OTG mount. I use CWM. Don't flash it worth RomManager.... I've used both ADB and flashify to push it successfully. I won't use RomManager after horrible experiences with some other LG phones.
Cwm

TWRP
Edit: Agree with Steamer86. Never let ROM Manager download your recovery.
CWM won't flash multiple zips. Only need OTG if newb and screwed up lol
Wipe bug fixed by going into settings and checking rm -fr box.

Can you pint to the link, please.
I had tried a few CWM (verizon), but can't mount my OTG-USB
Thanks.
I heard that wipe fix on TWRP Had problems of its own... I ADB'ed CWM. I only needed CWM for a few mods. I like the stock ROM and prefer it, unlike every other phone I've owned lol. I have never used OTG yet. Nor any wipes for that matter. Seems like a simple choice of multiple zip flash or OTG emergency and legit wipe. I never flash multiples as I don't trust things without testing. OTG in recovery trumps it for me, just incase some random **** happens, though the danger is moderately low for me. Look for the OFFICIAL image with Loki. Post is newer and around. The old loki unofficial does not work with OTG. Does not read NTFS as of yet in recovery. Format native for storage.

ok, where do you see otg mount? I have seen a usb mount which doesn't appear to do anything.
I generally use twrp, but right now I'd take the safety of the otg mount for an emergency over my actual recovery preference
TWRP lots of bills and weasel. not stable.
in my opinion the issues outweigh the features.
i prefer CWM. way more stable.
It's in unofficial along with the wipe fix. Mount > external sd > bam, golden. Faster than TWRP in my tests.

I think the problem is that he can't flash any zip or I would have recommended much the same thing.
Does your computer recognize your phone if connected to USB?

dunno if it works for your variant but if ya plug it in in download mode and open the lg mobile support tool then you can (on my version LG D802) go to options and upgrade recovery the pc will download a 2.13gb file and place it back on the phone in stock form then you just ioroot again and then flash a recovery again
So i deleted my rom by mistake from my phone, however i have TRWP recovery still, how can i flash a rom if my phone wont mount through recovery?

same here
The easiest way to fix this is with a OTG plug. This will let you plug in a USB drive with your new ROM on it. Your recovery should give you an option to access it.

I fixed it with the LGFlash Tool

Hey there.
I accidentally wiped my whole internal storage after factory reset, and now I can't access (copy) new rom to my NS. Tried both TWRP and CWM, but both were unable to mount the storage, and therefore nothing shows up in my PC as removable device. Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance :/
I think that you should be able to fastboot an older version of cwm via usb on pc, an older cwm has a working mount storage and you could flas a rom via pc

Oh, why I didn't think of that? Thanks!
But I already figured it out, managed to install new ROM with ADB sideload.
Btw why isn't the USB storage still not working in new TWRP and CWM?

Not quite sure why is it like that, but an older one should do the trick, you can try the latest 6.0.5.0 and see if it works with it
