My D800 still continues to state "phone is not registered yet" when trying to update from D80010d. Is there any way I can get the latest OTA another way? By the way I am unlocked on T-Mobile if that makes any difference.

Hi. As i have rooted my phone i cannot update my phone to the latest official update by lg. Now my phone is not able to receive signal while in only 3g mode. Also cant locate gps well. i think this might be the problem because of the phone didnt updated yet.
Because of the phone has rooted i couldnt update. Someone please help me to lock the bootloader first and update to the latest version.
What is the latest US996 firmware? I found US99610o_01_0202.kdz with a date of 3/1/2018 on LG Firmwares.com. Of course I connect to LG Bridge but I never get an update there. Anyone using this?

the firmware you listed was released by US Cellular for the US996, but since it's not showing for you in LG Bridge I'm guessing you have the unlocked US996? are you rooted as well?
Yes unlocked US996 but not rooted. I'm on build NRD90M, version US99610n showing Nov 6th security patch. I believe I got this firmware from the same site a few months back after I first bought the phone. Of course I didn't realize there are different US996 firmwares. What I'm running now has been flawless for months, I just don't know what the latest unlocked US996 firmware is. Any idea?
Hi rzracer2,
Did you ever get/find an answer to your question. I'm in the same boat. I have US 996 unlocked running build NRD90M. Software version is US99610d. Both UpdateCenter and LG bridge state I have the latest OS. On LG bridge it is confusing, after I click the OK accepting I already have the latest OS, what's on screen implies there is a newer version.
Seems like there is the US mobile firmware which have new versions, and then the unlocked which has pretty much been abandoned?! Pity, the whole reason I got the factory unlocked was so that I wouldn't be hostage to the carrier update schedule... sigh..
I don't know if this will be of any help............

thanks! I'll look into it. With my previous phones, I used to flash custom roms, root the phone, etc... I got fed up with that and decided to go stock and factory unlocked so as to not deal with carrier bloatware/nonsense. That was the whole reason I got this phone. I was hoping to keep updated/hassle free with OTA updates. Looks like that is not the case and I'm back to flashing roms! Thanks LG!
Hey guys. I live in Brazil and have one H870, but it was from a network operator and the updates are locked by the IMEI by this operator. So, I flashed the v20b on it, and it works, but it is unable to find updates by OTA. There is any workaround to bypass this block?
Not sure if I understand correctly. But if I u flashed v20b your phone won't find any additional OTAs because 20b is the most recent firmware.

Yeah, I don't think that happens with someone else outside Brazil. Here, when you get a H870 from a network operator, they put their own customized ROM, that is really slow and consumes a lot of battery. But when you try to flash other ROMs, you don't get any OTA update. Everyone who asked about it got the same answer, they locked the update with the IMEI, and the only way to get OTA update is using the stock operator ROM.

V20b for H870 is the last update for this variant, so you wont find any OTA right now and maybe never more this year.
We hope Android 9 came to this phone but most probably later next year so.
Even tho you cant find OTA you can connect to LG Bridge to check that, but as someone and i already told, v20b is the last one until now.
So my wife's S7 will not receive OTA updates... She is stuck on 6.0. After a little research it appears that she is not getting the OTA updates because she is still on the G930AUCU1APB4 version
Her phone is not rooted.
Is there a way to force the baseband update?
I successfully updated the firmware for my unlocked LG V35 (V350AWM) to the latest V350ULM version available from lg-firmwares.com - version 20f - using the patched version of LGUP. The phone was originally for the Latin American market, and would not receive OTA updates of any kind. It was running Android 8, with no security updates.
The phone seems to be fine, and is on Android 9, but, in settings, the software version is reported as V350AWM20f, instead of V350ULM20f. And, when I check for OTA updates, there are none. There should be - 20i is the latest version. Also, my latest security patch is from February, and there has been at least one update since then.
Also, LG Bridge cannot determine the software version, and therefore, cannot update it.
What might I have done wrong?
I think that's normal. You'll only be able to update to the new firmware is via LGUP. No over the air updates. And that the phone is showing as AWM instead of ULM is normal too.

Okay, thanks. Doing a bit more research, I think my phone is current, or very close to it. It would be nice if someone could figure out how to make our AWM versions truly and fully ULM, but it's not a big deal. Being able to update at all is what matters.
