How do you put it in diagnostics mode?
The Sprint dialer codes arent working. I am lost.
Can someone help me?
Thanks!
If you're referring to the 3845 code you should use the following syntax in dialer:
3845#*MODELNR#
If you have a d802 you type 3845#*802#
If you have a d801 you type 3845#*801#
And so on...

Does anyone know how to get your msl # on this phone w/o calling sprint...I know I got it on my E4GT using getprop ril.MSL in terminal emulator, but that did not work for me...wasn't sure if anyone knew a different way?

I did it using the getprop ril.MSL method, worked fine for me.
I followed the instructions for the S3 (method 2), worked beautifully...

The key is to enter a random number first and get the error. Then run getprop.

If you are rooted can't you just use MSL Reader from the Play Store? Should work but haven't tried on the S4.
You don't have to be rooted to run the MSL Reader app. Just put in a wrong MSL code first, then run the app.
Does the S4 have the same options in the dialer menu to override the Sprint Proxy (putting in all zeros)?
Successfully got my MSL by ##3282##, entering wrong MSL, then go to Terminal Emulator, type "getprop ril.MSL". Bingo Bango.

Current version of MSL Reader not compatible with GS4. Stick to getprop or calling Sprint.

Sprint always wants to do things different than anyone else. thats one thing i hate about them. they have a different selection of hidden menu where i cannot update my touch software and not this. they make us wait for their updates to be pushed OTA. why cant i decide if i want to push an update myself.!
Hey, I have an AT&T LG G2 D800, and i bought an unlock code. However, i cant seem to get to the point where i insert my code. I'm on CLoudyflex 2.2; i've tried putting in a tmobile sim card, I've tried the hidden menus (or the ones that actually worked) but still couldn't get anywhere.
the following problems I've had on top of nothing happening after inserting a tmobile sim card.
Method #1 Go to the dial screen and press “2945#*model number#”
I know I'm typing it correctly, but when i put "...800#" nothing happens.
Method #2 to the dial screen and press 2945#*71001# as if making a call, enter code when prompted
Method #3 Go to the dial screen and press *#865625# as if making a call, enter code when prompted
For these two, it says: connection problem or invalid MMI code
Bumppp I'm going overseas soon!!

I am running a retail version VZW Note 4 on AT&T. I've been trying to get into the service menu but none of the codes work. I simply get a "Connection problem or invalid MMI code". I've tried the various solutions (adding + or ,) and nothing seems to work.
Any ideas or am I stuck until root?
Thanks.
Ryan
O ya. I have a rooted/rom'd VZW s5 and get the same error.

It's not. I get USSD Code Running then the invalid MMI error. Also tried the codes in Safe Mode.
As usual disabled by vz

ah that's weak. Thanks.
Got the menus working on the S5. Just have to fumble through it and get the other bands enabled.
