Bad battery vor other issue? - Defy Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hey all!
I never saw this behavior of a battery before: loosing capacity suddenly two times
Is this just a bad battery or is this an issue of the Defy? It's running Android 4.4.1, Kernel 2.6.32.9 Aero (CM 11 20131210 nightly mb526)

Hey again.
Finally I found the answer by myself. It's hard to find anything when you can't call the problem by its name: battery drops

Hopefully I was not too annoying for the experienced members. Maybe this helps others to find an answer to the same question.

Battery issues

Is anybody else facing this issue?

Nope, my phone is in English haha. In all seriousness, what is the problem? I was never good at those spot the difference puzzles...
Edit: was your phone plugged in that whole time? damn! I've had some battery calibration issues, going to let it run dry tonight and stick the charger in as it's powering off... seemed to solve any battery calibration issues on my previous android handsets.
Yes !
... it was plugged in the whole time. It happend to me 4 days ago aswell.
When I had CM10 installed I thought it was an issue with the ROM but
it feels like there are much bigger issues on Stock.
Do you think it's useful to wipe the battery cache?

Battery drain even in deep sleep

Hello folks,
I'm facing a battery drain problem when the Tablet is idle. In the last week i managed to get >11h Screen on Time and awesome idle battery stats. But now my battery drains even if the device is in Deepsleep with Wlan on and Synch on (>97%) about 1-2% per hour. [With Gnow off, Bluetooth / GPS / NFC off). The curios thing is, it happens with all Roms I tested so far, when I'm replacing the stock kernel of the rom with the ktmanta Kernel.
Can you guys give me an advice ? If there were wakelocks which wake the Device i would know what to do, but with Deepsleep > 97% ? The only Wakelocks are gmail and google account synch.
I would be thankful for every Hint.
Best regards

This most likely and issue with the kernel. If your kernel supports underclocking you should consider doing that because underclocking uses less battery. With all that stuff off and ONLY wifi on, during sleep you should not lose more than a percent every couple of hours. I have kept mine stock but im well aware that most battery issues are relating the kernel. I have a nexus 4 and Gnex before that both rooted and used to run AOKP before but not CM 10.1. So I have seen enough battery issues to kno that this completely because of the kernel.
AW: Battery drain even in deep sleep
Okay, I'm aware that it has something to do with the custom kernel. But the weird thing is, that all was good and then suddenly after 3-4 cycles my N10 started to lose battery in Deepsleep. There wasn't any change in the rom / kernel or settings. If tried several Roms / kernels but only get rid of it, when I stick to cm stock kernel.
Atm I'm on the actual ktmanta underclocked @ 200-1400mhz + undervolted

If it is happening with every custom rom you have tried so far then maybe it is time you try a new kernel. Also, this might not be it but just to be on the safe side, check what apps you have running in the background. Might help.

How to fix battery drain issue !

Hi I keep hearing people complaining about their battery draining, but I found turning off and on some features does infact stop the battery from draining too much, but this only works with the latest 4.4.2 update because I noticed that Power saving mode was not working on 4.3. You should set your setting like this:
The final step is to set you screen brightness to 25% (Brightness level by Curvefish) and turn off your wifi.

[Q] How to use ROMS/Kernels for Battery life

I just bought an unlocked Samsung Galaxy S5. It's pretty nice and all except the battery life is terrible. I tired to do it by turning things off, but then I was just left with a boring that can't even do anything. What's the point of all it's cools stuff if you have to turn it all off just to keep it alive? I heard that after rooting a phone one can download custom ROMS to improve Battery life. My problem is I don't have a single clue on how to use them. I've tried Omega, Waman, Alliance, Cyanogen and others but I don't know how to use any of them for battery life.
Is there some sort of tutorial for using them? Or anything at all that could point me in the right direction? I'm so confused I think I'd rather just buy and extended battery.
How long does your battery last? Maybe your expectations are unrealistic
I recommend you to flash an AOSP based ROM and install Greenify. Maybe you should also flash a custom kernel for tweaking your CPU.
Furthermore you could buy a new battery

How is battery in Android MM + Custom Kernel compared with LL + Custom Kernel?

Hello to all, how is your battery experience comparing MM+Custom Kernel and LL+Custom Kernel?... I'm still thinking if I will go to MM or not yet.
Thanks!
Actually wondering the same. Tagging along.
Battery with stock kernel is almost the same as in LL at much better performance and smoothness. With skyhigh kernel battery is bit better, but slightly slower. Since yesterday there is a new audax kernel out with good performance , still evaluating battery life.
The step to MM is worth it, you should upgrade.

Getting around 6hrs 20mins screen on time on MM.
Thanks for the feedback, I agree that MM is better than LL, battery a bit better with much better performance compared with LL.

If you dont use mobile data buy a tablet...
I get screen time 4.30hs, more than enough for the heavy use I do to the phone. Don't install Audax Kernel because it drinks the battery.

What kernel are you using? In my opinion, Audax kernel is far better than SkyHigh
Performance is better with audax 1.0, with little bit less SOT

Skyhigh, Audax in my phone drinks the battery, why do you think Audax is better?
Audax has better Performance at the cost of battery ?
