Carbon Rom, SlimKat, CM11 (4.4.2) GPS - Galaxy Grand Duos i9082 General

Sorry for posting it here in the General Section because I cannot post in their respective threads.
I noticed that GPS lock is slow in these roms. I copied gps.conf from the stock rom and I get a faster lock. Might be useful information for the developers for these roms.
I also noticed that dolphin browser does not seem to use gpu acceleration on CM11 and SlimKat (slow scrolling). In Carbon ROM and stock roms, I do not have this issue.

thanks for observation and help bro..but an advice .just search a bit if dr is any FAQ forum already ezists or not....

[Q]Have some Questions about Creed 3.5 and Stock Rom

Hello to all xda Members.
Since my SE mimmi is dead, ive buyd a GT-S5369 and i love it so far
Rooting, delete bloatware and so on was no problem at all (very good guides here)
I want mod more my Young and i have some questions (if i am in the wrong section please move it)
I have currently running the Stock Rom 2.3.6, rooted and cleaned and with few build.prop tweaks so far.
Ive read that the stock rom has not graphical modding potential, is that correct in fact?
There are Tons of Rom in the Development Section and
no panic i dont want to ask for the Best rom
I have one eye on Creed 3.5, is this rom for daily use (stable) or has it any bugs?
What about the Battery drain is it better than Stock?
Can i throttle CPU Speed in this Custom Rom?
or do i need a Custom Kernel?
Is there a one klick solution to Backup my Current Rom with all Messages (over 4000), Browser Bookmarks, settings, Apps and so on?
Thank you for any answer.

1) Stock rom is the most stable rom. No other rom can match it.
2) battery drain depends on the kernel configs primarily and then on your usage.
3)Merruks kernel allows CPU overclocking. The kernel will work with creeds 3.5
4)take a nandroid backup for backing up the complete rom( including messages, apps, kernel etc.)
5)i haven't used this rom but i can surely answer these questions b'coz i searched for the answers.
Moral of the story: Search in google or even in xda.
good luck.
Yes. Stock Rom is the best. But if you're asking if creeds rom has many bugs, i'll say no. Only one. The youtube app. You can't sign in if you have account there. But you can download the old one instead.

Interesting Multi-boot ROMs ?

I have a modded stock TW and CM11 on multi-boot and would like suggestions of any really different and interesting additional ROMs to set up under multiboot.
The TW is my daily, and the CM11 is pretty good also, so the other one(s) could have some functions not working if they are unique and worth trying.
Thread closed as its basically a best ROM thread.
Why don't you go into the development forums, open some threads then download the ROM or ROM's you are interested in and try them?

[Q] most stable Custom ROM

Hello
I am new to installation of custom ROMS. I own a Galaxy S5 900F version. I want to install a very smooth and stable ROM on my phone. Can anyone guide me of which ROM should i install? and is it safe?
For me SOKP,TeamNoctrunal, or Ownrom
i would suggest you to try them out yourself to find which is most stable for you mate, good luck. (and yes it is safe)
That's an answer that's different for everyone. I swear by CM ROMS, but my best friend says he has nothing but bad luck with them, and we have the same device.
I just wanted to know by people's experiences. because trying different will require a lot of time and data backing up restoring again and again.
Try Them out and find your best Rom.

For me, Official CyanogenMod 12.1 nightlies are great. I haven't tested anythnig else because CM works fine on my device : stable, great battery life, etc...
This is an development thread ask your question in S5 Q&A, help or troubleshooting. This is a thread for devs posting there unified mods and unified roms.
If you want AOSP you should try official CM12.1 from here:
http://download.cyanogenmod.org/?device=klte
If you want a modded stock rom you can try _alexndr rom from here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2813628
Or djb77 roms from here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=3138583
If you want Xposed framework on a modded stock rom you need a deodexed rom like _alexndr rom or choose djb77 rom there you can choose Xposed from the aroma installer.
I was on XtreStoLite rom but it's outdated at the moment so better to use another one. I tried also _alexandr rom and it's also very good one. Now I'm on CM12.1 and I like it very much. So I advice you to try CM12.1 and if you don't like it try djb77. And I prefer Boeffla kernel (the beta version) there is a version for CM12.1 and for TW.
Boeffla kernel for CM:

Boeffla kernel for TW:

1) This is the development section, does it in any way shape or form resemble a Q&A forum? We have a separate Q&A forum for a reason, can you guess what that reason is?
2) Try some and find out. What is "best" or "most stable" type of questions are not allowed on XDA. "best" or "most stable" is subjective, nobody can answer the question except you.

No, it's not included in CM 12.1, I didn't find it.
Alliance rom v9 is very customizable http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2716535
If u want a S6 experience install sixperience v4.1

Personally i dont lic stock android so i dont like CM
CM is gud to have a better understanding about a google update early
But once samsung give their updates touchwiz is more good for me
Well, its not about just being stable, but about having stable features, and cm is not very good in that way, it is stable, but has very little features, so stock samsung rom all the way, especially now, when samsung will be releasing android 5.1.1 update very soon.
Well I think that people mainly say CM "used to be" stable, because they changed their development cycles from fixed (i.e. having RELEASE versions) to rolling (only MONTHLY). Apart from that I think its a matter of taste really.. personally I would consider most Android systems "unstable" cause you'll always get the occasional crash compared to e.g. an ubuntu LTS server.

Stable ROM with a good battery life[I9505 intl]

Guys, I'm looking for a stable ROM which once flashed doesn't require any fixes, kernel optimisations, doesn't contain bugs and stuff, you know the deal.
I would like it preferably to be a GPE ROM but that isn't necessary.
Also it should have a nice battery life.
I know that this question has probably been asked before, so if you point me to a nice thread about these conditions, I would like that too

Cyanogemod Rom 12.1
If you ever want
There are 2 threads in the I9505 Android Development section for GPE roms. They are both for 5.1 GPE. 5.1 GPE is still new and there might be issues.
But you can try 5.0 GPE if the links are still available. Check out Danvdh's GPE thread.
I'm running blisspop at the moment. Head over to the unified devices thread. Its really good, not many people use it but for me battery life seems more reasonable out of the box than most. If you are looking for battery life though, try the AOSP by anteres one in the unified section. I tried it for a while, but it just didn't feel right. So I'm back on blisspop until Dan gets everything sorted out and implemented on the GPE 5.1 thread.

SlimKat/Liquidsmooth Kitkat 4.4.x ROM alternatives for ktle

Hey all,
I've been looking for a while now but I'm not having much luck. From what I have seen, both Slimrom and Liquidsmooth dev's have either stopped/have not creating/created their respective roms for the Galaxy S5 klte. I managed to find an unofficial LS KitKat 4.4 rom for my S5 a while back now (maybe 8-10 months give or take), but its a tad unstable and buggy. However, I have not been able to find any roms like it thus far. Carbon ROM seemed like it may have potential, but again I could not find a KitKat variant for my S5.
So I am asking the community. Does anyone have any suggestions as to a light weight, clean, stable and smooth KitKat 4.4.x ROM that has similar features to LS and/or Slimkat?
I am still continuing my search. Hoping some one here has some suggestions that I could give a try.
P.S. Sorry if this has been asked already. I'm looking in XDA but haven't found any threads related to my question. If there is one, my bad. Still looking through the forum...
Thanks as always!
