Hello,
I have a MB525 green lens running on unofficial CM9 (4.0.4) - what steps are necessary to get it working under 4.4?
As I read in the docu I´d have to upgrade to CM 10.2, then flash the bootloader-upgrade, then 11.0 - is this correct?
Best regards, Mauri
Yes.
You could flash CM10,10.1 or 10.2 latest versions. Then update recovery from 4.4 Quarx thread. Reboot enter again in recovery and flash the 4.4 Rom

Remember only to do a full wipe, so it doesn't stuck on boot screen.
If nothing works and phone stop's working just go back to stock sbf (heapened to me)!!
Thanks for the replies
My recovery did not allow me to flash 10.2
Now I am stuck at the bootloader with "battery low". The battery does not charge any longer, the recovery does not start
Any ideas?

Hello,
I have installed CM7 for Defy(not plus) in my cellphone perfectly.
So then, I found the CM7 Defy+ nightlys and I'm trying to install it. But when I install the ROM on it and reboot, it stays in the initial logo forever.
Could you help me?
Best regards.
please help
Try another rom, like MUIU or any other rom and see if the start loop is overcome.
Did you wipe the memory after?
If you want to instal defy+ nighties, you first have to flash the gingerbread kernel. (CM9kernel.zip)
So now flash the stock ROM and start again. You probably downgraded to instal three normal defy nightly do you have to flash a defy+ ROM with the same bl nr. After that root instal 2nt... and flash the defy+ nightly (and wipe). If you want to be able to switch, you will have to flash the downgrade sbf again and flash the CM9 kernel. Then you can switch with just flashing the kernel and ROM (sbf wipe)

Do cm7 nightly have these fixes? I'm running nightly now and camera seems ok, but I don't know yet about the battery.
Hi!
I've got Motorola Defy+ with BL7.
I spent 5h tryin' to root my phone and fortunately I've made it
I used this tutorial:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1889325
Now I have 2.3.6 ROM wihout my primary language (Polish).
Do you know how to install Custom Recovery and some type of CM10 ROM (or install polish language on my 2.3.6)?
I'm readin' thousands of tutorials and I've lost....
Thanks!
Now install this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=12837303 is the bootmenu and recovery.
After this enter in recovery mode and install the Rom you like.

Dear Defy+ Professionals,
I consider myself a beginner, but I could always solve everything with your detailed instructions. Till now. I can't find anything which is referring to my problem:
I used my MB526 with Quarx's CM7 versions for 1,5 years, then tried to flash CM10. It crashed after a few days, it got into bootload errors actually I had to flash a new SBF on it. It's details:
System version
45.0.2310.MB526.NonEFIGSRetail.en.EU
Model Number
MB526
Android version
2.3.6
Baseband Version
EPU93_U_00.60.03
Kernel version
[email protected] #1
Build number
4.5.1-134_DFP-231
I would like to get back to the good old CM7 that I used before, I have no problems with rooting and installing CWM Recovery, but when I try to flash the CM7.2, it always end up with bootloader error (I always do the data/cache/Dalvik cache wipes, when it's needed, even formatted the SD card)
Do you have any ideas what should I try? Maybe try to downgrade for a BL5 or BL6 version and then root and flash?
Thanks in advance!
Try using aroma full wiper and fully wipe everything, then try installing. Do not install any kernel after cm7.2 flash.

If you're getting bootloader error, you must be flashing the wrong zip. Use defy plus version since you're on bl7

Hi, im using cwm recovery v5.5.0.4 and i tried to go from cm7 android 2.3 to cm10.2 android 4.3. Flashing the rom wouldn't make any change and i got an error which i searched on it and found out that i has to be on ics stock to flash any ics custom. I downloaded from huawei site the ics original and tried to force upgrade, when in step 2 i got an error -> Update failed. Then i tried to force upgrade to 2.3 orginal gb and got the same issue. Now im actually trying to boot in device and flash my old rom of gb custom cm7 but after update completion im stuck on recovery. Any ideas? Its immerse to fix it.. TY

Hi
I had a Motorola Defy mb525.
Bricked the phone while trying to install CM9
Got it alive somehow by Flashing it with .sbf
Now my phone shows as mb526 and I was able to root it again.
System Version - 45.0.231.mb526.AsiaRetail.en.03
Version - 2.3.6
Kernel - 2.6.32.9-ge281b6e [email protected] #1
The problem now is I am not able to flash any of the Custom ROM's.
Tried CM10, Cm9 and also the latest kitkat
Downloaded different ones for each ROM's.
I get the message when i try to update from SDcard "Signature verification failed"
If someone could help me in Upgrading to JellyBean or Kitkat

For KitKat you need to flash an updated recovery. Check the thread.
