Wireless charger - Verizon Galaxy Note 3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I got a wireless charger thinking it would be kinda cool but the phone gets hot when charging. Does anyone know of any issues that this may cause? Should I continue to use it?

Searched 1st: Wireless charging while phone is externally charging: WHAT WOULD HAPPEN

Okay everybody, I tried searching first and I did not get any results. I'm wondering if you have your phone charging with it's cable and you accidently place your phone on to your wireless charger that is power enabled. What would happen? Would the phone be able to distinguish that it is externally charging and disable wirelessly charging or would there be a possible problem to the phone getting a dual charge which I highly doubt would ever happen. I'm just curious if anybody has ever done this accidentally and what has occurred. And no, I'm not going to be the guinea pig on this one...

[Q] Charging sounds when finished with wireless charging.

I just got a G 5 from my work. Aside from all the AT&T bloatware it works decently except for one thing. I bought the Samsung Qi charger cover for it and have been using wireless charging, but when it is finished charging at 3 or 4 in the morning it starts making the charging noise.
From my searches I think it is caused by the lack of qi trickle charging on the phone. I can't root the phone to fix the problem (because its a company phone and I will lose VPN access if root is on the phone), which is what most people have done. Is there any way to disable this or a Qi charger that can get the trickle charging to work so it doesn't make the noise and turn on the phone screen?
A much smaller problem is getting rid of the AT&T bloatware, if there is a simple solution that doesn't require root I would a appreciate it.

Wireless Charging issue after latest security update

Has there been anyone else experiencing an issue with the wireless charger since the last security update.
Now instead of charging the phone like it did before, it just holds it at the level it is at.
Anyone know why this is happening now, and how to fix so it charges?
Thanks.
You have gone to the menu item fast wireless charging?

Any Updates?
Hey, do the downgrade to PE1 with full wip, and put 100%, your working fast charging. Good luck. To me it helped.
I'm on PH7 and wireless charging works fine for me.
Wireless charging has never been an issue for me with any update. Might be purely coincidental, but you can also try a factory reset incase a setting or system file got skewed.
Have you checked the charger with another phone, or another charger with your Edge. It's possible the charger coincidentally failed at the same time.
My USB fast charging doesn't work. Wireless charging works faster than USB with different fast chargers. I have tried 6 of them and still not getting fast USB charging anymore. It is checked to fast charge also. All happened after the PJ3 update.,
Have you tried different cables, too? If the original charger and cable don't fast charge your phone, it's probably time for warranty service.

Wireless charging issue

After updating to the latest software, my phone seems to have lost its Wireless charging capability. I put it on my high speed wireless charger and also my regular wireless charger and what happens is the screen says charging or fast charging but the actual battery percentage goes down has anyone else seen this problem? Any help would be appreciated
Thanks

wireless fast charging

In the last couple days I started noticing the fast wireless charging is not turned on every time when I place the phone on all of my three fast charging pads. Instead the phone just shows the regular wireless charging status. If I lift the phone and put it down again, the fast charging will turn on randomly again with no observable pattern.
Does anyone have the same problem? I have wiped the cache, thinking it might have been one of the latest Sprint updates, but it didn't solve the problem.
I've had this issue too, how long before it's switching to slow charge? Mine does it if the temp gets too hot usually, but other times the wireless charge doesn't work at all. I think it might just be a bad pad though and not the phones fault...
Mine was doing about the same thing ...it would say wireless fast charge as soon as I set it on the pad and one second later it would say wireless charging. I switched the power brick from the one that came with the charging pad to the one that came with my s10 ( faulty brick maybe?)and that did the trick for me. For reference I'm using a Samsung wireless charging pad but that was my experience
