Hi guys, wondered if any of you had noticed a screen colour cast on N3's made in Vietnam? I went through 3 of them (black model) and they all had screen issues going from a green tinge top left to ping bottom right, this was clearly visible on the keyboard and looked rubbish.
I thought i'd try a white one and this one is made in Korea and has perfect screen uniformity and seems better made with perfectly even buttons etc.
Have any of you had screens from both?
Cheers :good:
Anyone?

I had three of them, all made in Vietnam and have the same issue you described. Bought LG G2 and now I'm happy.

Hey guys, i did a test with two omnia 7s and this is what i got
I got an omnia last december (left) and another a month after (right).
There is a blue tint on the left omnia's screen. the screen actually looks duller than the other. It's less bright and has slight colour differences.
I'd like to note that omnia on the left had a blue tint with the screen protector on, and it appears to be the same even after i removed the screen protector (which is what you see in the pictures)
Maybe you guys with omnia want to tell us how your omnia's display looks from an angle then we can see if this blue tint issue is truly normal or not
Hi,
I do have an issue with the screen of my SGN :
When the display is dimed at maximum and with grey backgrounds, horizontal lines like shades (in portrait mode) are visible.
It's almost like the screen were dirty.
Is it a special thing on amoled screens ?
Am I the only one with that ?
Thanks in advance for your reaction.
And sorry for my english, I'm french...
My galaxy S had this my GSII had this even worse. It's samsung amoled design...

I have a SGN and I'm afraid I see the same thing. It's primarily on grey backgrounds...but sometimes is slightly visible on white backgrounds as well. Annoying....but the screen is otherwise brilliant. I suppose this is the price we have to pay...but I don't like it one bit ..
search the forum. There are threads about this and other display issues. You are far from being alone. I have sent mine back for this and other screen problems.

Yes, also present on the note... it is only viewable when you dim the screen and have a gray background. For example if you use the ScreenFilter app you can really see all the artifacts and lines. I don't really see this when you have full brightness.

Not got a replacement yet.
I've had two SGN's with these problems so far. The first one I ordered and the replacement I got. The first one I got even had dead pixels and dust behind the screen.
I don't think I will be getting a third one. Samsung really sucks at doing quality phones free from any defects. Just reading the threads about the SGN here on the forum shows that the screen is not the only problem. For an example, the physical buttons stops responding randomly and the note can't play some videos properly while other more older and cheaper phones can... I'm disappointed with these problems and I'm currently using my iPhone 4... Which works without any problem, but unfortunately doesn't have a 5.3" HD screen!!!!!
So I just got my i9505 yesterday, and I noticed there are some faint vertical and horizontal "streaks" on the screen that are most apparent when displaying grey. It's pretty subtle, but it's definitely there. Has anyone else had this problem? Anyone know what it is or if it's normal?

Hey! This kind of issue has been happening to lots of S4 users. Including me. I got my i9505 three days ago and as soon as I started using it I realized that wasn't normal, for I have already had plenty of Samsung smartphones such as S3, S2, Note II, I. I have researched and tried to understand what the hell is going on but some people say it is a software problem. Others say Sammy could be using "a cheaper display". Although in this case we're talking about full hd displays.
Hope I have helped.
Bye.
I have this issue too.
the vertical ones aren't very noticeable but I have 2 very obvious horizontal streaks through my screen about 3mm thick, splitting the screen into thirds quite perfectly.
I have replaced one handset already for this reason and my replacement is the same, just less obvious, so I decided to put up with it.
Here's an example of my screen on grey background.

mine had one streak horizontal streak slightly above half way. but also this seem to make the top half of the screen slightly blue. The top of the phone had different colors to the bottom. its very noticable.
took mine back.
I have this issue too....... 2 horizontal streaks......
Hi,
I got my new note 3 two months ago and recently I have noticed a small problem.
If I look really carefully I can see that the top of the screen is slightly brighter than the bottom, I can see it especially when the screen is white..
Does anyone have the same problem? what should I do?

Anyone else got an LG G4 that has bad viewing angles? It turns yellow tint if I pretty much tilt it at all
No yellow tint at all here... maybe your unit is defective? I'd say exchange it.
Yeah was going to go look at a demo in the store and see how it looks. I mean I know Samsung screens are better than most but compared to my note 4 this screen kooks like a tns panel from a 2004 laptop

You sure they didn't send you a G3 which was notorious for yellow tint? I couldn't stand that when I had the G3. Now that I have the G4, that yellow tint is gone. Though I still think the best display is on my G2.

Watched this video, yeah I think my screen is a dud, If I tilt it more than 10 degrees tint goes yellow

Note 4
I see a polarized-like tint when I tilt the phone, but I don't see yellow. I still have the factory screen protector on though, so not sure what the naked screen looks like yet. I'll check it out when the real screen protector comes in.
Same here
I have the same problem. Went to LG G4 from Samsung Note 4. The viewing angle is nowhere close to Galaxy Note 4 or S6. It's disappointing, because otherwise LG G4 is an amazing phone.
Yeah, my T-Mobile H811 looks funny when tilted, I get a very slight yellow hue at the bottom but if I tilt it back to straight it goes away. I had issues like this with pretty much every LCD display I've ever seen, even my Nexus 9 does it, it's just the way LCD panels are, which is why I prefer AMOLED.
The issue of yellow tint is directly related to what kind of ambient lighting you're surrounded by. It's a lot more visible outdoors in daylight (cloudy day) than late at night with incandescent lighting. It's not visible at all in fluorescent lighting. I'm just ignoring it because it's otherwise a great phone.
Screen looked like that when I bought a cheap screen protector. I spent 30 bucks on good one and no horrible screen
