[Q/T]Probably broken LCD in DEFY MB525 - Defy Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello. I have trouble from 2 months. My problem is lot of dead pixels (i think) When i have custom rom cm9 ICS 4.0.3 and install by cwm Defy_battery_fix_red_lens i see lot blue pixels and after some wiping they gone and screen back to normal. About 2 months ago when i have XperiaD 4.2 JB 4.1.2 andr. i try to install same fix but for JB and annoying blue pixels go back (possible that the problem appeared after the collapse of the phone with the height of about 1.5 m?) normally my defy collapse and nothing gonna happend and now i have trouble to read emails, sms, browsing web. With movies and games i didn't have problem because i focuse on other things than broken screen. Maybe it's LCD tape connected to motherboard is broken. I'll try to find among my friends some who can check this. But if someone have an idea that will listen .
Thanks for all help i get from you

Sorry for my bad english and too large photo

You can pull out the battary and then put the Defy well shielded (plastik bag) in a freezer overnight (-18° C).
If not all blue pixels disappear you can repeat it one or two times.
If you were lucky everything will be all right, if not you will need a new LCD.

However, it might also be the battery, i have two batteries, one is the one that came with the Prophet and one is a cheap battery i ordered from Dealextreme.
I do know that the cheap battery is dead, but the other one (I did some testing with it, it shows up at 1.4V at my multimeter) i'm not sure if it is dead.
The phone has been like this before:
It randomly worked, randomly turned off, it wouldn't work for like 10 days, then when i put the battery in again it worked.
It kept doing that until it died completely.
Any suggestions?
I can't understand on photo. A battery pin is broken? If the problem is broken pin, a watchseller or jeweler can fix it. They have the right equipment to work with small things

You think they will fix this?
I would try to get a new (third) cheap battery.
Or try to re-animate the cheap one (dangerous, forbidden, but works often for me: open battery casing, unsolder LiIon-Cell, reload with Lab power supply to around 3-3.8 V (never > 4.2V!!!!), resolder, put in Prophete, start charging....)
The pins look ok. 1.4V for LiIon is below the deadly shutdown value!

OK, maybe my answer is a bit late...

Droid X has a splotch on its screen, changes color a bit when I press down on it

Like when you press down on your LCD computer monitor too hard and you can see rainbow like colors under your fingers. I tried to take a picture as best as I could. The phone has never been dropped and I've left it shut off for about a month since I got the Bionic.

What could be causing this??
Here's a video link to explain even further what I mean

Mine did that after I dropped it off a 15 ft scaffolding onto concrete... luckily that's all mine did... 6 months later I got it wet (didn't get the wet sticker wet) and it bootlooped, wouldn't even go into stock recovery, so Verizon luckily replaced it (I was 2 days before my 1 year warranty ran out thank God) oh by the way I was stock unrooted, never sbf'ed or anything until I got my replacement phone

My friends was doing this same thing... the Verizon Rep told him that it had to do with the extended battery being too big and pushing on the components inside the phone against the screen... he demonstrated by taking the battery door off and pushing on the battery itself and causing the same "rainbow " effect as when he touched the screen... long story short they are sending him a new phone

[Q] Weird grid after replacing touch screen digitizer

Hi All,
Been a while since I've visited since purchasing a Nexus 4.
Anyway, my Defy had a cracked screen so I got a new touch screen digitizer to put in it so my daughter could use it.
Got it installed just fine, without any issues.
However, shortly after installing it I noticed this odd grid showing up on the screen. It's only visible when the phone screen is dark colored.
You can see a photo of the grid in this post on Google+. EDIT: Also attached the image to this post.

Anyone have any ideas why that grid is showing? It's not a big deal, as my 3 year old daughter hasn't even noticed it. But if I were still using that phone it's something that would drive me insane. I'm mostly just curious as to why it's there.
Thanks!
I can't be certain but I also had the digitizer replaced and right away I noticed the grid. From what I understand each square is point to recognize touch. From looking at your pictures I would say that mine is not as prominent and I only see mine in lighter screens. I'm going to say its because it's not an original motorola defy replacement because when I compare with my other one (yes I have 2) there is no grid at all and the capacitive buttons are very different looking on the new one. I'm still trying to decide if I can live with it or not cause sometimes it does bug me.

LG D802 screen problem

Hello everyone,
Last week I've dropped my G2 and it begin to show some lines white lines as shown in the photo. First, Ive thought that the screen was faulty so I've decides to buy a new one but unfortunately the issue persist and continue to show on the new screen. Also I want to note taht the phone sometimes goes back to normal and the white lines disappears but just for while and then they show again.
Is it from one of the motherboard connectors or what exaclty ? any ideas ?
Thank you in advance for your help.

Blue smudge spot on screen

Hello - my phone is 1.5 years old and suddenly I have faint blue spot on my screen, mostly visible on white background. It's been there for a week ...

Any ideas if there is a way to fix this?
Tap it fast and gently on the 'smudge' for a minute or so. If there is any improvement, keep doing it till it disappears. If not, get a new screen.

Thanks for the tip but It doesn't seem to change anything.
If it doesn't spread I might keep it that way because changing the screen would cost me near what I paid for the phone!

could be delimitation, which means you need a new screen.
However try a screen calibration app first.
2nd a factory reset (this calibrates the screen on newer versions of Android)
if that doesn't work you probably need a new screen
The same issue arised for my screen, but it is fainter, think it is screen issue because when I was tapping screen during restart that part had a strange response. It appeared almost suddenly for me, any fix?
