Well, yes... it should work but it definitely won't be as cool as on 4.4, since you won't have transparent system bars.

Yeah, its the reason why i still want kitkat (one of the reasons)

Scanno is trying to boot KitKat for the tf300t but can't get WiFi to work. He says once fix the rom is ready for the tablet so can anyone help him. Its in the Omnirom thread in rom development section. Please if there is any developers here that can help go see scanno.

According to TF700 forum user Asus confirmed no KitKat for that device. I'd say 0% chance of seeing one officially for TF300.

@sbdags
For a 1+half year old tablet, that is perfectly capable of running the new OS, this decision from ASUS is not something I appreciate. Also, I do not appreciate the shorter lifecycles they are trying to impose on tablets in general.

you know its not greener on the otherside...even nexus devices don't get upgrades forever, just look at the Galaxy Nexus...and if you think Samsung is so much better, you would be wrong.
the best thing is to make sure there is a large community on here before you grab a device, that way you can either help dev or just ride the wave of dev's creating awesome updated roms for said device

Yeah, our devs are probably going to have to include it in the kernel or it'll be a fake flash like all the e4gt users are stupidly complaining about lol

Actually when it got taken off the EOL list and the price dropped to almost nothing for new contract it became a big seller because of the keyboard. I think Sprint will keep it off the EOL list until they commision a new slider. And most of our DEVs are still locked in until July or later for full upgrades.

HAHA, I did it just because it looked like it was on the Epic4g line. Didn't play around much, but I found the touch didn't work, and the menu button selected things. Then I realized my stupidity after rechecking the download page and just flashed back. It looks kind of bland, but progress no-the-less. For the 2 times a year that I don't use Rom Manager to flash without touching anything, it'll be cool.
I flashed the 4g touch version but nothing happened. I figured it would have bricked or something. Its funny when those 4g touch *****es come over here whining because some flash didn't work on their phone. Some people are just out of their domain.

It came to the Nexus, we just got it baked into a kernel last night for Epic Touch and I am sure it will make its way here soon. Fake flash through ROM Manager only made it disappear on reboot. The funny part was the people posting why their volume and power buttons didn't work. The OG Epic community is well represented over there and always thinking of those loyal to the Epic. The new development has been most impressive. Hell, you are farther than we are on CM9...LOL

[REQ] Port of rascarlos rascream to crespo4g

Well, I think I speak for every nexus s user when I say rascream rocks and I think I speak for all crespo4g users when I say WE WOULD LOVE A PORT/BUILD.
Not sure how tough it would be, I can't imagine it being super tough as its been done before. I guess you could just say I'm envious of crespo users who get to enjoy rascream
Not trying to be a forum nazi at all, just a heads up. I think @rascarlo did not want the link to Rascream posted anywhere other than the Trinity kernel thread. If he has changed that protocol, I apologize.
However, I did thank you because I would love to give rascream a try on my crespo4g as well...

I really hope it gets ported eventually. I've read nothing but good things about it from some pretty avid users. From what I understand its a treat. Idk if I would wanna deal w a bunch of different versions of the same from if I didn't have the device either tho. Too many headaches. One can only hope since its a real similar device that he will give us a run at it tho.

Really??? In comparison to the 5 months they had ICS before us and the fact that the world tries to forget ns4g like we are lepers, this is what sets off your jealousy??? This rom must be better than sex then haha.... I must try this rom!
Actually it shoots out rays of sunshine, and Canadian bacon.
To those unfamiliar, this rom its based off of aosp with the minimal things you'd need from aokp/CM added in, also dark themed and modded. Take a gander at the trinity thread to read through nothing but good experiences and long battery life, besides the latest build has gotten over 1,000 downloads.

VZW probably figures if your OK getting boned with their pricing your OK getting the shaft with locked bootloaders as well. Very logical in a VZW sort of way.

And yet you're apparently still their customer. Who's really to blame here?
I dumped Verizon. Best move I ever made lte was spotty on long island and sucked battery. T-Mobile has been awesome with the 3g+ consistent speeds oh and I'm spending about $80 less a month. Their customer service has been awesome as well.

Well. It's not a first time when Samsung promising an update and than delaying it for ages. In my pinion we can expect 4.2.2 to be relised after note 3 arrival. That why I'm a happy user of custom rom. Alliance Rom 3.1 is the best I've tried till now.

Well I'm no more waiting/excited for the update(4.2.2)..just rooted my phone yesterday and I'm enjoying custom roms(thanks to the awesome developers who make those cool custom roms)..samsung you can keep the update till next year even if you decide to release the update after announcing note 4..i wont mind it

Android 4.2 is overrated in my opinion, there's nothing really major. If anything, Android 4.2 is known to be buggy and battery life is worse compared to 4.1 which is very stable. But it's great to be on the latest version of android....
