I installed the heatshiver ROM on my verizon G2 and I got a rotation problem where any apps I opened would be forced into landscape mode no matter what.
I wiped and then restored my phone to a nandroid backup and I still have this rotation issue even though it didn't exist on the backup. (The backup that I restored it to never had this issue with rotation).
Does anyone know how to solve this problem and get screen rotation to work properly?

you should restore again, don't use your backup. then it will be solved

Thanks. Installed a clean copy of a ROM and rotation works fine.
Do you think that the rotation problem will exist on all of my other nandroid backups?

TWRP won't backup because apparently 'sdcard is not mounted'. The Nexus 7 runs on an emulated sdcard storage, so how do I get about doing a nandroid through TWRP?

Make sure you're using the latest TWRP version.

Using the latest.
A settings reset did the job - backup went smoothly without complications after that. Thanks for the help!
OK so no matter what ROM I'm on I get an error message when trying to use the hulu app...I've attached a screenshot of the message it gives me... Something about DRM

Yes

Try this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=33537009&postcount=20
Works fine for me, Stock, rooted, unlocked boot loader, Franco kernel.
Maybe you have a defective phone?
You haven't frozen anything in Titanium Backup or uninstalled anything?

This phone can't be defective.... Everything works as it should exempting hulu. I tried it on stock and on xylon and aokp..there's something missing and it has to do with DRM. Will look at the link two post above and report back

Looks like they moved my original link so this is a direct link http://suipre.com/8310b8
If you download from the link using your prime use chrome browser. Stock browser didnt work for me.
There is an update in the play store after this. Do not install it or you will be back to not working.

I flashed my third ROM using twrp 2.6 and it worked fine as usual but I went to update the rom and flashed the zips it went through alright but said I lost super user access and to swipe to fix so I did but it didn't work just rebooted back to recovery and after a Bunchve tries I finally just unrooted my device completely using qbking's method and it unrooted my device but it is still unresponsive on the bottom of the screen but only on certain apps and the keyboard. Can someone please tell me what I did wrong?? And is there anything I can do to fix this?? Need help ASAP :/

Download the MF9 tar file and install through odin to return to stock and start over unless you have a nandroid you can restore. Sounds like there is something corrupted in your files and it will be better to start from scratch.
Thanks can u give me steps on how to do that and should I run the pit file in Odin too? I saw that some where

Have you tried this with other tw roms or aosp roms? Also you might want to downgrade to twrp 2.5.0.2 since 2.6 is a bit buggy
Edit: here is the link for twrp 2.5.0.2 I got it from sacs rom
https://www.dropbox.com/s/2c9fqr1b8q63cjt/TWRP-Recovery-jfltespr-2.5.0.2.zip
Just flash it in twrp and your good to go
Also flash kernel to see that is also the problem.

So I should try flashing another rom to see if it fixes the problem?
Sent from my SGH-I997 using xda app-developers app
Try going to the dialer and typing *#0*#
This will bring up a test menu. From here you can test the touch screen.
After flashing a new rom rry it as well. This will test if it is the rom or not too. If it works theee but not ar other times it is probably the rom.

Hi I rooted my n7 recently and bought TiBu. I haven't installed any Roms was going to after I backed up. Whenever I try to backup I get the message above. I have at least 18 gigs left so I know that space isn't a problem. I googled it and found out to set the backup folder location to /storage/emulated/legacy/TitaniumBackup. It was already set to this so I uninstalled and reinstalled TiBu. Didn't work also tried restarted my nexus with no success. Anyone know what to do? I'm using supersu I rooted with WugFresh toolkit all help is appreciated.

I just updated to 4.4.2 [Note 3 n9005] UK firmware from SamMobile and rooted using CF-AutoRoot
Now, my problem is when ever i reboot my device it asks for Launcher.
I have also set TouchWiz Home as default Launcher in settings but.
Try using another launcher (set it as default) and freeze the default launcher with Titanium Backup and see if that problem exists. And another thing; When it asks you to select a default launcher, do you select always?

Do you use SD Card? If yes try formatting it after you copy all the files to your pc and slowly copy the files again to find a corrupted file/app. Maybe that file is the reason of this. If you cant find any corrupted files on your card try factory reset.

I had this same sd card before updating so it shouldnt be the reason.

Still a new app you installed or a file can cause a problem. Also try freezing some apps(preferably recently installed ones) with Titanium Backup and check if issue still persists. If yes, i think best choice is factory reset.

In addition to previous post - Make sure you know what you are freezing and be sure that this app is not vital resource to Android, otherwise you may end up in a bootloop.
