Hy.
Today I found this:
Modded Google Play 4.4.22
I installed the Patched Google Play as they said. But nothing changed after all. After I installed the Multi DPI but still nothing.
So there is still region limit and I still cannot update that games/apps which was previously dowload from a torrent site.
What do I do wrong?
So you downloaded paid games/apps from a torrent site, and you're now complaining because you can't use Google Play to update them. You're kidding, right ?
I do not know how does this thing work. I am new in it.
But the region limit is still here.

I was on AryMod MM 6.0 v6 but GPS was a little problematic so I decided to go back to a stock rom. After a successful restore I couldn't access my google apps after update. I tried another stock firmware but got the same results. Older apks with .438 install correctly but the problem persists. I tried installing the latest apk from apkmirror but I get an error.
PS : after a google search I found a couple of note 3 owners (N9005) that have the same problem
Same problem here, cant update, got msg that my device is incompatibile.
I try 3 diffrents firmwares, 3 diffrent google accounts, cant use apps becouse it's says that i need to update google services, but google play store says it's incompatibile. Try to clear cache, data of play store and services, and no effect.
Same here.
Try to flash 4 files rom, with PIT file, and Phone Bootloader Update and Phone EFS Clear checked.
For me it worked, but every next rom update other than 4-file rom with EFS clear and problem comes back.

You need to download Play Services from apkmirror.
Also I had this problem: I've solved it with this method.

You are not alone with this problem. I made factory reset and saw this problem too. I think they (who ever it is) will fix this as soon as possible.
These apps must Be flashed in custom recovery ..search for gapps

Has there been an update on this issue? Is it fixed now?
I can try to flash stock rom back to see if it is fixed if no one else has tried.
This was a problem for everyone. Google Play Services was listed incompatible with the Note 3 on Google Play itself. Affected all Note 3 owners, regardless of Android version.
Most recent update to Google Play Services lists it as compatible again.
For me it auto updated. (And broke my GPS tracking along the way, but alas.)
my solution is to download services google play 9.4.52 and do not download the last version off all google applicatios like youtube chrome gdrive.
you downgrade the vertion antel you don't receve the error message
download from www . apkmirror . com

Worked like a charm on my
Rooted Galaxy NOTE 3 SM-N900
Official ROM, 5.0: N900BUEBOC3
I need some help.
I got a Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium, it is a Chinese version and doesn't come with Google Play (Play Services, Play Store, etc). I've been trying to install the required packages and been having some issues.
First, I've heard I need the following packages:
Google Account Manager,
Google Services Framework,
Google Play Services,
Google Play Store
this list was originally posted for a different android device, so I'm not sure if it is the same requirements or if there are additional.
I've installed various packages and versions but I get errors.
1) Can someone who owns a Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium (or has access) with Google Play to provide required packaged names and versions that are compatible?
2) Does anyone know if those packages are the right requirements? Is there others that I don't know about?
3) Does anyone know if Sony (or in general, other manufacturers) have something that prevents Google services from running properly? Like, maybe because it was released in China (and Google services are not allowed), is the phone has something installed that stops it? (Does this kind of thing happen?)
If something like that happens, I'm guessing root or something like flashing the ROM to a different/international version..? something like that? I'm not familiar.. can someone provide some info please?
Additional information for what I've installed.
My device information:
Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium
Model
H8166
Android version
8.0.0
Android security patch level
September 1, 2018
Baseband version
845-sdm845.gen.prodQ-00104-19
Kernel version
4.9.65-perf+

51.1.A.12.48
I installed Droid android info app, The cpu architect is arm64-v8a. I downloaded the above Google Services from apkmirror and installed them.
I tried the following versions:
(**note: below version, I went to Bell store and looked at their XZ2 models, and grabbed the versions they were using. They didn't have a XZ2 Premium model so I'm not sure if there's a difference or not)
-Google Account Manager 7.1.2 (the XZ2 model didn't have this installed)
-Google Services Framework v8.0.0-4147944
-Google Play Services v14.3.66 (040408-213742215)
-Google Play Store v12.3.19-all[0][PR]218276083 and v12.3.30-all[0][PR]219141239
Usually I install Google Account Manager first, then Google Services Framework, once I install Google Play Services, I get an error that constantly pops up "Google Services Framework has stopped" and keeps stopping.
I don't know if there is something else that's preventing them from working properly (like manufacturer thing?), do I have the wrong version, or maybe I need some other additional services to work properly???
How did you end up with the Chinese version. You can try flashing the firmware to a different region that has the Google play store. I have the Hong Kong version and I flashed the US version

I have HK 8166 and don't have this issue, flash it with a different FW
Thanks for the replies.
I bought it from official sony site in China. I use the phone in both China and Canada, but everything in Canada depends on Google Services..
Anyways, I haven't found proof or documentation, but I am pretty sure Sony has added something that prevents Google Services to run on the CN version of their ROMs. But I got this conclusion based on testing (installing different apk versions, etc..)
If anyone has official info or way to confirm, it would be great to know (and reference on how to find out in the future).
So I think the only ways are either rooting or flashing to HK or US firmware as mentioned above.
When you flash the firmware, do you need to unlock the bootloader?
I understand that in most cases, you need to unlock bootloader to install ROMs not signed by company (Sony), like custom ROMs..
But in this case, you are flashing ROMs provided/signed by Sony (HK, US, CN, etc ROMs for the H8166 model), so is unlocking bootloader needed?
Also just wondering, does Sony officially provide the firmware ROM images? (maybe for backup/restore or something)?
I only know Developer Sony (developer.sony.com) provides AOSP images but I didn't see anything else from them.
I am currently using a workaround, which I don't need to root or flash FW. It is using Google Space (They renamed to X Space recently), which is an app that is like a Virtual VM + VPN. Google Services is installed in that environment, and apps are downloaded/installed in that environment too, which allows to run with Google Services. It's not bad so far.
Just flash, as i did, the uk fw (for example) with flashtool. Pick the version you can find in my discussion link in the previous page. You don't need to unlock bootlader to flash another region fw.
Hello,
As the chinese firmwares are more up to date than the eu ones, I want to use them on my Z17s.
Unfortunately these firmwares exclude the google play etc.
When I tied to install playstore with some installers I found, I'm not able to finish the google sign in to install the google account on the phone
Anyone has a solution to get playstore working??

If you like the stock firmwares and don't mind messing with TWRP and then Magisk (to be able to use things like Google Pay, etc) you may try this firmware, compiled by a Chinese user that combines Android Pie and NubiaUI. It began with NubiaUI 6 but was recently updated with version 7. It's the one I'm using right now and works like a charm:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/nubia-z17/how-to/android-pie-rom-nubia-ui-6-0-nubia-z17s-t3994419
You will have to install the corresponding gapps along with the firmware, but it works.
Hello Everyone!
I'm hoping I can get some good advice on how to fix the issue that has come up.
I will try to be as detailed as I can in describing what has happened.
I started out with my Samsung S5 DUOS rooted on Android 4.4.2 but I had to update due to apps dropping support for 4.4.2.
Using Odin I installed Official Samsung 6.0.1 update for Android 6.0.1, after which I rooted the phone using the correct Chainfire Rooting package,
and after this I also installed the latest correct TWRP Recovery.
When starting up the phone everything was working fine except Google Services Framework and Play Store kept crashing constantly which I then solved by grabbing the APK's from another Samsung S5 running Android 6.0.1 and installed those on my phone. This fixed the crashing issue entirely and everything is now 100% stable and working just fine.
Which brings me to my problem: In the Play Store app it seems now that it is partially in English. I am running the phone set entirely to Swedish language otherwise. So most of the Play Store displays in Swedish, but certain things such as "Downloading" or "Install" or certain menu options of the app itself displays in English rather than Swedish. Also the app name is Play Store rather than "Play Butik" in Swedish. I thought that these APKs had all languages integrated in them and displayed the correct language depending on the language setting of the phone itself.
Any and all help to fix this so that I can have Play Store app run in Swedish would be appreciated very very much.
Kindest regards,
XDAFan.
P.S If I have posted this in the wrong place please move it to where it's supposed to go.
Might be a bug and ruled out with the next version of Playstore. I assume there are quite frequent updates, but performed in the background, like the Play Services updates.

That is an interesting theory! I went to APK Mirror and checked the versions of the APK's that I had pulled from the other (identical) phone and the Play Services APK was a match but the Playstore was outdated(!) so I pulled the latest compatible (Android 6.0+) version of that that I could find on APK Mirror and installed it and that fixed the problem!!
So BIG THANKS for thinking of this as a possible cause of my problem and the solution to it!
Kindest regards,
XDAFan.
Updating my previous reply here
Kindest regards,

Apologies if this has been covered, but I have searched for threads on how to get the Play Store on the Chinese version of the S7, and I didn't find this solution here. So this information should at least be easier to find for anyone who finds themselves in possession of a Chinese S7.
All you have to do is update it to the latest Oreo official firmware, and then install the Play Store APK. At some point, Samsung have just started including all the underlying Google services, framework etc, but just not including the Play Store.
No need to change the CSC, root, flash a custom recovery, anything like that, just get the latest Play Store APK from apkmirror and install it.
I downloaded the latest stock ROM through Frija.
