Hey guys, I've had my G2 for about a month and a half now. The battery was absolutely fantastic for the first month. I could go 20-25 hours without needing a charge. Now a days I can barely get 15 hours on the phone. I did a complete factory reset on the phone and that did not fix the issue. I did not install any other apps since the reset, kept the screen at 40%, switched off all bluetooth and NFC options, yet I still lose 5-8% in my pocket every hour. My question is, could it be a physical problem with the battery itself? What are my options?

My TF is behaving very odd lately. I have a dock with the tablet and the first few weeks that I have used it I could get literally 16 hours of use.
I use "Android System Info" to track my battery use. It is very accurate, and now its gone haywire. It reports that my tablet has an uptime of 3 days and 2 hours. It also reports that my uptime (without sleeps) is 13 hours and 30 minutes.
Now my actual settings (android os) tell me that my uptime is 1 day and 2 hours. Which is absolutely true (that's the last time I charged it).
Here's the funny part. The battery use menu tell me that the tablet has been "Awake" for many hours at a time and atleast 20 times more than the screen has been on.
And it's just BURNING thru my battery. It just plummeted from 38% to 14% in 20 minutes.
I don't have any suspicious apps on my TF, lol.
[Q] Is a factory reset my only option?
EDIT: This started happening immediately after I tried using Juice Defender. I uninstalled it, but the battery still drains like mad. Also my screen now turns on at random.
the hours being different from each other could be from removing it from the dock. I would back everything up and try and do a reset, it wouldnt hurt any. Then you can see if its a hardware issue or a setting that got changed.
I mean at this point I'm resetting my TF every few days messing around with things
My galaxy s4 is just over a month old.
I run my phone with power saving on, lowest brightness, wifi/sync/gestures/bluetooth/4G/gps/location services/etc all off.
Suddenly at approx 55% my phone died and wouldn't turn back on. I couldn't understand, but when charging it and checking battery stats it had apparently drained 55% just spontaneously.

I thought maybe this was a rom issue, so I wiped all data/cache/battery stats and installed CynogenMod 10.2 v28/08/2013 with only google apps installed (sync off) and as you can see with the following images, I barely used my phone and I am still experiencing the same issue - my phone is spontaneously going from [..}% to 0%. There's just 1.5 hours screen usage in the whole charge cycle. I can pull a maximum of 4-5 hours out of my phone if I don't touch it, and seeing some people racking up even days on their galaxy, I'm sure this isn't normal.

I'm at uni for up to 12 hrs a day and desperately need a solution to pull a longer day out of my phone, as I rely on it heavily.
Has anyone else experienced anything like this?
I'd be sending it to a service centre for a warranty fix if it were mine.
Hi
I have recently started having a problem with what I presume to be the battery of my Nexus 4. It seems to have started suddenly about a week ago, though was working absolutely fine before. I don't think it was due to any specific app having been installed. I have also done a factory reset on it, but that didn't solve the problem.
Basically, the battery will discharge to about 75%. The phone will then suddenly switch off; turning the phone back on, it simply shows the battery to be fully depleted and switches off. If I plug it into a power source, the phone turns back on and begins charging, from 0%, though seems to suddenly fully charge it within about half an hour.
My phone has not been rooted.
I would really appreciate any help/advice on this issue as it is incredibly frustrating having to have my phone almost permanently on charge.
I have attached two screenshots of the battery usage graph.
Thanks!

If you are on stock, try flashing the stock image(4.2 or 4.3 up to you) there's plenty of threads on here thatll guide you thro the process.
I've had the same issue about three times, during the first week of using my Nexus 4 (about half a year ago). I've already had my mind made up to RMA it, but waited for it's shut-off to happen once more to collect some evidence of this problem and... it never happened again. I'm pretty confident that I didn't install anything that might have helped (I only installed BetterBatteryStats to check the instant drain, but really doubt it could change anything, it's just statistics), and I've never factory wiped the phone's data yet.
I've been searching for answers around the internet back in May, but never found anything of value, so my only advice is... wait a little, and if it doesn't get better itself return it to the merchant. My previous HTC phone was restarting almost everyday from the first day I bought it, until a month later I returned it for warranty repairs and after they changed almost all internals of the phone it never crashed again (till today, since I still use it as GPS and media player when running).
Hey Guys,
I have a SM-N900 and its about 4 months old.(sold my old note 2 and got this ) On Average the phone lasts 24 hrs or so in my usage.
But This is a problem i noticed and wanted your opinion and help.
I switched off the phone yesterday night with about 38% charge remaining at about 1 am.
I turned it on at 9:30 am and it was on 16 % and within a min 15 % and needed charging.
How can the phone lose so much power when its off ? is this normal?
Kindly help.
I reset the phone about a month ago and started from scratch as i was having some battery lasting issues (after getting 4.4.2 update) and the reset solved it.
I don't think this phone had this prob from the start but cant be sure as i almost never switch off my phone .. just restart it.
but now i am wondering if i have a faulty samsung battery
My phone's battery life has been terrible...
Since I bought this phone, i would get about 24 hours and 4 hours of screen on time... Now I get about 12 with 1.5 to 2 hours of screen time.
I usually have AOD on, location, wifi/4G...
I have facebook/twitter/instagram/whatssap...
All of these have been on before with no problems what so ever...
The main issue I'm noticing is the battery drain when the phone is asleep at night... A few days ago Doze wasn't even kicking in... I wiped cache and did a factory reset. Doze now kicks in, but I lose about 8-12 percent through the night... Doze says to be working for about 5 hours. Normally when it works for that long I use 1-3% of battery...
I really feel like I shouldn't have to turn off every feature on the phone to get the battery life I'm looking for... When you pay 900 dollars for a phone, you should be able to get the phone to last the day without needing a charge...
I'm willing to change the phone from high performance to optimal... 1080p resolution is fine, but I don't want to go down to 720p...
I've changed my location settings to GPS only... I've also played with having wifi go to sleep when the phone is asleep. Haven't had to do this before...
One interesting thing I've noticed is that Nougat keeps asking me to put apps to sleep even though I've already done it. It doesn't keep the app asleep...
Can anyone offer any advice on how to fix this issue?
Thanks!
Bump... Can I get any help on this??? I bought this phone in May 2016... So it's just over a year old... is this normal for the time I've had it, or abnormal...
Strange, maybe there's a particular app that causing the issue? Even though you reset it maybe the app is still there? Have u tried booting into safe mode?
No haven't tried that yet... After booting into safe mode what should I do?
My battery isn't as good as before and I've only had the phone a few months

I'm sitting in the exact same position as you...Have tried everything, but can't get more then 12-15 hours on a charge with screen time +-2-3 hours if I'm lucky. When not using the phone I loose at least 3-5 percent per hour.
