hi there
i hove one noob question here
Is there any way to replacing / installing live wallpaers ?
I'm trying just installing .apk, but it failed
I'm trying manual replacing live wall in my system via Root eksploler, failed again,,,
so i'm courious about this case, is there any other ways ?
if the other way is via Recovery, how can i make xxx.zip from my xxx.apk ?
thx & sory for my noob Q
You sound confused to me...
There is an apk in system/app folder called live wallpaper picker. this does what it says on the tin. When you're on your homescreen and press menu there is an option to choose live wallpaper. This opens the aforementioned apk. If you have installed other live wallpapers they will show here and you can select them.
Hope that clears things up!
Swyped from my HTC Desire oxygen 2.0.3. using XDA App
Theres an apk within my theme called livewallpaper.apk
And that replaces the nexus one with cyanogen livewallpaper
With much more options. If you delete all the other apks from
One of my zips and the framework folder you can flash it in recovery.
You can just add your livewallpaper to the zip also in system/app.
Here's what i did
i wanted the stock gallery 3d app so badly so i took it from stock jpm (both the odex and apk)
then i placed them both in the system/app/ folder
strange ..didn't work.. (didn't show in app drawer at all..)
so i installed gallery 3d from market and then replaced that apk with the stock gallery apk
even strange.. when i opened the gallery app, i got the old gallery app not the stock app
for those who are wondering.. stock gallery app is flawless and has blue highlighting while the one in the market has yellow highlighting and appears patched while scrolling and is damn slow..
question is.. how do i install stock apps in custom roms??
I had the same problem but then with touchwiz and on a stock rom:
I wanted to enable landscape mode in touchwiz and for some kinda reason I deleted the touchwiz30launcher.apk and the odex file... I tried to place it again but with no succes... For another reason my phone was captured into a bootloop so I flashed the firmware again and everything works fine. I would also like to know how you get that stock apps working if they weren't on your phone after flashing...
ok atleast tell me how to deodex apps..
is it enough to move the /data/dalvik-cache/classes.dex into the corresponding apk??
Hi, i'm tried to create a theme for my LG Optimus one (P500) with the UOT Kitchen, but when trying to apply the theme with the theme manager (i've mik's port of CM7 v6.5.2 installed on my phone) says that the theme is bad compiled.
I select mods for battery, icons (status & notif. power), glowing (only overscroll), and window animation. in the "file upload" section i select amend scripting (because i don't have an HTC desire and with the edify scripting the zip file can't be flashed on the recovery), with the patch9 autofix & theme chooser preview enabled. In the file upload section i select "CM7 theme", and as base theme i use Androidian.apk (downloaded from xda-dev thread).
Next, i tried to flash the zip file from the recovery (amonra) and the flash do sucessfull, but when i go to apply the theme through the theme chooser, it says "theme bad compiled". i tried install the apk directly to the phone and the result is the same: "theme bad compiled" . Some tips or solution?
PS: I tried different combinations, like only battery icons modded, only status bar colors modded, and get the same result
Thanks in advance

disable Theme preview in File Upload section if you having problems applying theme.
Theme must be installed as normal apk. Without preview look very carefully in theme chooser list to find installed theme (it will be between other themes).

Now works, thanks
This message is for mendozinas. i do thank you for having a kitchen like this to customize pretty much anything for my phone (p500) Optimus one. I was informed that the kitchen will not support ics based so i flashed over Slimgen 1.6.0 (android 2.3.7) i just made some themes for the rom, havent tried them yet. I did upload the Framework.res and SystemUI.apk of the rom so hopefully it will work this time. I was wondering If you can add my rom (well the rom im using) on the kitchen list. SlimGen 1.6.0 here is the link to download the rom itself. im sure you already know.
http://code.google.com/p/slimgen-pro...downloads/list
Please reply back if you recieved my message. thanks agian. i do appreciate it. I sent you a PM figuring it will get to you quicker but i realized you must have many Pm's about certain questions. So maybe this will do the trick.
I tried to trouble shoot myself, still in early dev mode for me (learning the ropes) but i made a copy of the rom i have and plugged in what was from the UOT file that was giving to me from the kitchen. I made a flashable zip on my desktop and place it on the root of my sdcard. Booted into recovery...flashed it but still i get the same message. Am i using a correct rom for this or what?
Im attaching the UOT file i made so if u may need to look at it its there. any info you want from me just ask, im very greatful for the help, would really like to make different themes on my phone for start then move to rom modding .
I would really like a step by step if possible so i may get this theme up and flashedon my phone so i may make different ones for future needs.
Thanks again and hopefully i will be hearing from you.
my animations are not workin
i selected d fold animations but they r nt workin..? everythin else is fine jus d animations.. ?
All the built in MIUI visual effects and tweaks now work! The app drawer setting does not work, but it doesnt work on multiple other devices either. Maybe down the road?!
I pulled these from MrGarak's fresh squeezed edition for the desirehd/inspire4g. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1399074
This has only been confirmed working by me on stevendeb25's alpha2 Miui release. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1383721
I do not know what will happen with other atrix miui builds.
You take full responsibility for messing up your phone using these files.
Be sure to backup first just in case.
Here is a collection of mods to add to Miui that enable all the visual goodness that is Miui. Parts Pulled From Miui Version 1.12.16
After digging around for a while I was able to put together a collection of Miui parts to enable all the eyecandy and special settings Miui has. I put Miui on my GF Inspire a long time ago and wondered why it had so many more built in visual tweak settings that we did not have. Now WE DO!
Add Current Miui Version launcher2.apk which adds settings to remove icon text, wallpaper scrolling, and autoclose folders.
Add systemUI.apk and Miui Settings.apk to enable the statusbar layout, overscroll effects, all kinds of control over colors used in the Miui GUI.
Add Framework.jar to enable overscroll effects and bring back battery on top of statusbar.
Not using the framework.jar will cause overscroll effects and top battery bar to not work..
I have been running this way for about a whole day now and everything seems stable and smooth.
Basically this will enable all the MIUI Eyecandy effects.
Follow these directions:
1: Copy Launcher2.apk to /system/app, reboot
2: Copy the Miuisettings.apk to /system/app, Reboot
3: Copy the SystemUI.apk to /system/app, StatusBar will forceclose and you will have to pull the battery. Upon Reboot run FIX PERMISSIONS with Rom Manager.
4: Copy the Framework.jar to /system/framework, Reboot one last time and Run Fix permissions again once rebooted.
ENJOY!!!
