I am downloading it now.
Just flashed it. Pretty smooth and fast. Has some bloatware. But, I am sure they can be frozen or removed.

Under about phone, tap build number 7 times.
Is there any option for someone in Central America? (Nicaragua)?

This ROM should work with any 'L'. I live in the US. When the phone first booted up, it was in Portugues. I just changed it to English. After I installed CWM and rooted the phone, used Titanium Backup to uninstall all of the bloatware. The ROM is now very lite and smooth.
Here is a screen

Not sure what happened there. Maybe install CWM, backup your phone and do a complete wipe and factory reset.

Done this 3 times same result.
Also multi window is greyed out?
The only thing I would suggest checking is Setting, More, Security, Device Administrator and see if there is any setting that you can play around with. Otherwise, do a complete wipe and reflash the ROM. I went from stock 4.1.2 to this ROM without any issue.

"L" is made for 'Latin' Markets, which sport the 850mhz band (3G).

Everytime I try to run setcpu i select the hero option since Eris is not listed then it just takes me to a black screen and force closes. ok, first off you might want to uninstall setcpu to get rid of any previous settings you have. then reinstall it and follow these instructions from a previous post
1. Install SetCPU, if you haven't already. It's available here on XDA for free and for $0.99 on the Market.
2. In SetCPU, choose the "HTC Hero/Tattoo [MSM7k Turbo]" option from the device selection menu. The CPU will happily ignore you, but setting it to this means that you won't enter a reboot loop after patching when SetCPU starts and overclocks your CPU entirely too much.
3. Make sure the "Set on Boot" option is unchecked, until you're absolutely certain that the settings you've got won't freeze your phone. Also, turn off profiles.
4. Flash the latest kernel-overclock-update-v*.zip below, using your favorite method, and boot your phone. Note that this kernel update will not overclock your phone until SetCPU tells it to -- the default policy is 245.76MHz min, 528MHz max, ondemand.
5. Start SetCPU, hit menu, and go to device selection. This time, select "Autodetect Settings". Change the governor to "performance" (which means it will always use the highest frequency in the range), and start incrementing the max up from 528MHz, one step at a time, releasing your finger each step (SetCPU applies the change when you let go of the slider), until your phone freezes.
6. Remember the bit about not checking the "Set at Boot" option? This is why. Reboot your phone (this will probably involve pulling the battery, if the phone didn't reboot on its own), and start SetCPU again. SetCPU very nicely shows you the last settings you saved, but does not apply them, which is nice because those settings will lock your phone. Lower the max setting to something that won't lock your phone, put the governor back to "ondemand", and set up profiles how you like.
after you have done all of this you can then have set at boot checked

No idea how to do that or what rom to pick. My frined literally did everything yesterday I sat there and played xbox lol.
so you really have no idea what was done to your phone?? and the roms are simple to install, look at the different rom threads, see which one you think you might like and follow the instructions on installing them. make sure you do a nand backup before you install them though. instructions for all of this can be found in this forum

first download a good ROM like Ivan's Eris_Official 1.0, unless you already have (it's a .zip file).
Put that on your SD card (do you know how to do this? if not, then stop here, and ask, otherwise go to the next step).
Turn off your phone. Hold the VOLUME UP botton while powering it back on. It will boot into Recovery. Go to Backup/Restore. do a 'nand backup' of your phone. It takes 2 minutes or so.
Then use VOL DOWN to go to the last menu (it tells you at the top to do this). Then go to Wipe and then select Factory/data reset. Then also from that menu choose Wipe Dalvik Cache.
Then press VOL DOWN to go to the last menu (it tells you at the top to do this). Then select 'Flash Zip from SD Card'. Select the .zip file you downloaded (Eris_Official_1.0OC.zip or whatever it's called). (It'll take five minutes to flash).
Then Reboot the phone (this will take 5-10 minutes, don't worry how long it takes. Any time you wipe dalvik cache, this will happen. it's supposed to).
Your phone will start up brand new.
If you've gotten this far, then you probably want to flash that kernel you have, Zanfur's overclock kernel. That one's a little better than what comes with Ivan's Eris_Official. If you get this far, then come back and post again.

BIG THANKS TO TCP! and all the others that posted help.
There is a thread with this info in it, but it is buried deep in over a hundred pages and I thought the warning for HelixLauncher bared having a new post.
Here is the link to download the update.
http://android.clients.google.com/packages/passion/signed-passion-FRF50-from-ERE27.1e519a24.zip
Looks like that link is dead... here is a mirror
http://dl.dropbox.com/u/113487/signed-passion-FRF50-from-ERE27.1e519a24.zip
And one more just in case the others go down.
http://www.filefactory.com/file/b1chb29/n/update-nexusone-FRF50-signed.zip
Warning!! If you use Helixlauncher, uninstall or remove its defaults. It will go into a Force Close loop, making the phone unusable without booting into recovery again and performing a factory wipe/reset.
How to flash the update, I used these steps and it worked fine, but remember, there is always the possibility to brick the phone.
1. Download file from link up there.
2. Rename the file to update.zip.
3. Note that if you're using Windows and don't have "show file extentsions" turned on in the file explorer you won't see a .zip. Just rename it to "update" (no quotes, of course) because it's already a zipped file.
4. Copy the update.zip file onto your microSD card.
5. With your Nexus One off, hold down the trackball and press the power button.
6. You'll be booted into a white screen with three Android robots on skateboards. Select "Bootloader."
7. On the next screen, select "Recovery."
8. Your phone will reboot, giving you a picture of the Android robot and an exclamation point inside a triangle.
9. Now press the power button and volume up button at the same time. It could take a couple of tries.
10. Now (using the trackball this time) choose "Apply sdcard:update.zip" and let things run their course.
Taken from the update-1 instructions on:
http://www.androidcentral.com/how-ma...your-nexus-one
Also, I don't think my phone rebooted own its own after the update. After a minute or two, I tried hitting power and power+vol up to get the menu and reset manually. During that time it reset and booted up fine. So I say give it a few minutes before trying to reboot after the update finishes.
Edit: a ton of threads have popped into existence about froyo, but I didn't see any with early warnings about Helixlauncher.... ah well, maybe this post can be helpful for someone out there.
Edit 2: From what I am seeing, AT&T phones are on a different build of Android than the T-mobile N1. Seems like if you have an AT&T version you are out of luck for right now. This update was meant for the demo devices given to the Press outlets around launch, before the AT&T phone existed.
thanks for this, just a quick question.

about the HELIXLAUNCHER:
there is NO NEED FOR WIPING everything! i had the same problem after updating and these force kills were really anoying.
here's what you have to do
1. remove your sim card (necessary because other wise your phone will reboot in safe mode - don't ask me why, but it did)
2. get into safe mode: (menu button long press while the X flashes on the load, give it a few tries, it vibrate long if it works)
3. delete helix
4. reboot
5. pray and thank me ;-)
worked for me!

Huh. Aomething just doesn't sound right.
I haven't sim unlocked my device so i haven't even seen that screen that you are referring to. Sorry. If you press and hold on the text box nothing happens?
What about if you try changing the orientation?
Maybe do a nandroid backup, do a complete wipe, flash a fresh rom to start over from scratch and try unlocking it. Once sim unlocked do a nandroid restore and it should stay sim unlocked since the subsidy doesn't have anything to do with the rom itself.
Ok, so pressing and holding on the text box makes the Input Method menu appear, but selecting Android Keyboard still doesn't make it appear.

No problem. I'm glad that I was able to help. I'll go ahead and close this thread since you no longer need assistance. Send me a private message if you need it opened again for whatever reason.
I really need some assistance with some of the settings for CyanogenMod. I just got done flashing the ROM and everything went smoothly, but there seems to be a problem with my data/coverage. The phone is in roaming mode and I can't get the data to work. I have everything configured correctly I think, but I can't get the data connection to work. There is no indication that it is on even though I have it checked. So I can't get on the internet unless it's through WiFi and I can't send/receive picture messages since I have no data.
Would really appreciate some assistance since I really like this ROM but I'm paying for data and it seems I can't use it /:
Thanks for any advice

Sounds like you may not have done a full Wipe/Factory Reset, Wipe Cache and wipe dalvik cache before you flashed. You perform these steps from ClockworkMod recovery before you flash the ROM.
Another thing that could have happened is that you had the USB cable plugged in when you entered ClockworkMod to flash the new ROM. Once you copy the new ROM to your SD card you should unplug the USB cable and then reboot into ClockworkMod.

Anytime bud, just trying to help you The moral of the story was, I read your post and that was the first thing that came to mind and you got all salty, no problem though i understand you're frustrated. I would be to. As blake posted, did you happen to have your USB cable plugged in while you were booting into clockwork to flash your ROM and did you also clear cache, dalvik and data? I'll assume you cleared everything since you probably followed a tutorial verbatim on this site or some other site but the USB thing, while so small, can actually cause so many issues...no hard feelings bro
Also, please see above post for the preferred network type information...

2. If so...If I were you I would, redownload the ROM, move it out of your downloads folder (i.e. from /sdcard/downloads to /sdcard/) and wipe data, cache, dalvik and reflash...
3. Again, if I were you, and #2 didn't fix anything I would go back to a sense ROM and see if the problem is still existant. If it's not then idfk what to tell you LOL...but if it is then its probably hardware related...I would also flash BACK to the CM ROM after going back to the sense...
I know seems like a lot of stuff but if you're dedicated to having CM then you might just have to bear with the bs ;(

Yessir, that's what I've got as well...I'm assuming that you actually had service when you were on a non-cyanogenmod ROM?

flashed twrp on the naked phone and installed the backup from this thread https://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-5/help/oxygenos-4-5-1-backup-t3626167 (made a misstake and wiped system).
so device should be stock. no apps installed. real naked phone
I guess you have to wait for the original stock firmware straight from OnePlus and then make a clean flash. If it worked of out the box it should work after original firmware.
dont knowif it worked out of the box. powered on and flashed twrp. but will try a clean flash

Same issue here. Before restore the backup my home key worked very well.
Wait why do you guys erase system? Is it just a habit before installing custom roms. xD I do the same thing. I erase everything except for internal storage.

Well, at least we know that this isn't a hardware problem. We just have to wait for the full zip.
wiping data with the twrp backup solves the problem. home button working now
In my case the "gaming do not disturb" mode was on (I dont know how ... ) anyway if you have the same issue you can go to Settings->Advanced->Gaming Do Not Disturb and uncheck Lock Buttons.
