Hey I currently have cm10.2 (android 4.3.1) and I have noticed the battery life was not the best, do you guys know any good battery life roms which you would recommend me?
Thanks

I second that cobra, FH3.1 with ausdim v11 straight out a the box. I've tried tweaking it but it usually ends up either unstable or less battery life, so I stick with the default settings

Mod Edit
"Best" ROM/kernel/battery threads are not allowed on XDA.
Please test these things for yourself.
This is the only way you will get an unbiased opinion,and then, you can decide for yourself if it meets YOUR needs.
Besides which ,you have one of the few phones with a removable battery.
Get a spare one,and use the phone as much as you like without worrying about it.

can someone suggest me the best kernel for battery life? i don't want to change the rom, just the kernel. stock rom already good for me.
Kernel has mininmal effect on battery life. Main factor is peimarily usage and screen on time.

My answer is here.
Not the kernel itself. My answer is there. That there is no best. Please read it

Closed, there is no "best" kernel, rom, phone, whatever, there is just what suites you best.
HI
Battery Life is the major thing is annoying us
and a lot of Developer make a lot of efforts to have Good custom ROM with good battery life
so let us know your experience with your Note 2
battery life better with custom ROM or Stock ROM
also you can post your ROM, Kernel information to help us to decide
Hmm from what I feel are as below.
ARHD = Hypernote > Wanam > Omega
Nuff said.
However don't take my word for it. It works only for me and doesnt guarantee you that it will work well for you.

ARHD 3.0 gives my approx 6hrs of screen time better then stock but going to try CM-PA ROM when its in a stable state which won't be far
im looking for a smooth running rom for my nexus 7. What rom/kernel combo offers a lag free experience? thats also quick and at least average battery life
Try them yourself and see. User experiences varies differently.
Questions like this are forbidden on XDA.

it's supposedly full hardware, so no integration software's needed, but cannot confirm it.

Now it would realy interessting, if we have to activate this feature with kernel.
But how?
There are no technical documents about with device, driver etc?
What we have to change inside kernel source code?

I don't know if it's a kernel feature, but you can check to see if it's active on your device with dumpsys. I did it in terminal:
su
dumpsys SurfaceFlinger
Look for Qualcomm HWC State section. If you see DisplayPanel=9, your device is using GRAM or self panel refresh.
Edit: I'm using PAEK v5.2, and it's DisplayPanel=9. I won't be surprised if it's this way on every G2 kernel.
I think is on, because i see some screen With 11 hrs screen on time

But not with Cm11!
I only get 4 hours screen on!
But big thanks for this info!
Qualcomm HWC state:
MDPVersion=500
DisplayPanel=9
HWC Map for Dpy: "PRIMARY"
Great!
But why i get with stock near 9 hours display on and with cm11 only 4??
Hi,
I am running the latest CM11 nightly 20141204. I just bought a new original samsung battery but still getting pathetic battery life. I am getting just half day backup with data on. Is this problem specifically with CM11 or there could be any other issue?
Try ArchiKernel, it does wonders with the battery life.

Yeah I did that. What are your settings?

I have left it on the standard settings since it feels like a good balance between performance and battery life for me.

Find the betterbatterystats thread and follow the OP.
cyanogen is known for the ''battery drain'' problem, i suggest you to flash boeffla kernel, with the app ''boeffla config v2" (find it on web, not in play store) and play with governors and eventually undervolts to save some battery
