The desire builds with sense can play back 720p, but the miui build can't. The have the same shared object file and using adb logcat it is loading the correct the so, but when it is parsing the header of the file it says profile is not supported. Do miui builds on other native android devices support 720p playback?
hello there
I build AOSP 4.4.2 locally for my Nexus 7. Now wanted to add language tamil (ta-IN) as system UI .
Framework level ta-IN unicode support is already there in AOSP for apps since 4.1.
There are no other ROMS supporting this system UI. MoreLocale2 is not my choice as I wanted to build ROM from source
I understand that there need to be proper string translations in AOSP at
Code:
frameworks/base/core/res/res/values-<language>/strings.xml
for the system to display appropriate system message strings.
What more modifications do I need to make to AOSP sources to recognise my language as System UI language?
thanks
Introduction
SlateKit project (slatekit.org) is a drop-in replacement of Android UI stack,
to help makers building custom tablet UI by using Qt/QML, JavaScript and Chromium.
This means you don't need to flash your device, just drop the file, execute the script, then it's done.
Today we announce the first technical preview of SlateKit Base for Nexus 7 (2013),
the platform-specific port, alone with other UI components like Browser, LockScreen and Keyboard.
Prerequisite
Nexus 7 “razor” [2013] (WiFi)
Android 4.4.2 (KOT49H)
rooted and adb shell access
Installation
Download the image: goo.gl/ybYVO1 (146.7 MB)
Unzip files to /data, make sure busybox has executable permission
Start the UI by:
Code:
./chroot.sh
Technical details
a minimal Ubuntu root filesystem (Trusty/armhf)
Qt 5.2.1 and Oxide 1.0 (Chromium content API wrapper)
libhybris for hardware acceleration
hwcomposer QPA from Mer project
What's next?
Theoretically this rootfs works for all Android 4.4 system with HW composer 1.1/1.2,
so I'll try to enable it on other SoCs and make an installer.

It is read contents of build.prop(text) display vulnerabilities, no library security-scan
Maybe for unofficial M8 port ROMs or?
I didn't know that. Which library files you patched on A9/HTC 10 base?
