I experience that my set picked up wi-fi (set as n/b/g) but could not connect. After reconfiguring the wifi to just b/g, it's solved.
In your case I am not sure as it did not find the AP at all.
How do you reconfigure it to b/g only?

is your wi-fi ssid hidden? may the phone can't find your wifi
i'm using a b/g/n wireless router at home as well, secured wifi using wpa2.
can u find your wifi?
settings -> wireless & networks -> wi-fi settings (be sure, wi-fi is turned on!!) -> add wi-fi OR menu "button" -> scan
i hope the translation is right, cuz i'm using a german wildfire.

I can connect to all other WiFis. But I can't connect at home because I have a hidden SSID. Whenever I connect, it will just say "obtaing ip address" hang up and show "disconnected." I'd like to connect at home but also retain my hidden SSID. Do you have any suggestions?

My SSID is hidden also and I have no problem connecting to it. But I also have a MAC filter on the connections and always forget I have to add the new MAC address on my router list before it will allow it to connect. I always forget this and have to figure it out again.
My SSID is hidden too. Added my G2's MAC to the filter, and it works wihout any problem.
I'm connected now. Thanks for your help.

Hi Guys,
I am having Wifi in my home with unlimited download plan. In my wildfire, the GPRS plan is restricted to download.
So, i like to use only Wifi when i reach home. I do not want to use GPRS even when the Wifi signal is weak... How to switch on GPRS on/off??
Can somebody guide me to do this...
Thanks for your help
If I got you properly, isnt it working by going to Settings > Wireless and Networks > Mobile Networks > Uncheck Data Enabled ?
Alternatively, a Power Control Widget for Mobile Data also works perfectly fine.
Or search in the market for the app Y5. I think it does exactly what you want. It will remind the wifi networks you connect to and use the wifi network if you are
in range. When you are out of range it will use gprs / UMTS.

hold down the power button and it brings up a menu from were you can turn gprs data off.
an app called widgetzoid can be used so you can turn on/off mobile data easily.
there is both a free and paid version of this app on market
both will do the job just fine
Is possible to run the S-Voice without an internet connection?
Everytime i start it i get this message: "No network connection. COnnect to network and try again."
Nope
