theres no such thing. each kernel reacts differently with every device, and everyone uses their device differently. to find YOUR best kernel for battery, you have to try them all out. thats the only way that you will find the best battery kernel for your personal device. besides, best kernel threads are not allowed on xda.

Yes, thats the question. There should be "test lab" with 9 GS2 phones with different ROMS's installed.
Anyway: "what is the best ROM" is what XDA is all about. Try and give us feedback.

So MR. COOL .. if you dont want to reply then dont reply...rather than passing out sarcastic comments...there are people willing to give advice to others who may not have the time to flash each and every rom available...nobody is forcing you to reply to my post...so please..

I suggest you to stick with Hazy as Omni is just not so good at performance...battery life is ok nothing great...and no extra features also..

As far as I know Ultimate Kernel v13 was one of the last (and only) KitKat kernel for our N910C. But smoothness and battery life got worse after I've flashed this one so it might be better to stay with the stock kernel.

Cm12.1 with boeffela kernel?

So guys! My patience is gone now to see cm12.1! I don't care about fingerprint and Laser auto focus (Kidding I care) but whatever! I'm thinking to flash Cm12.1 with boeffela kernel! So will it work flawlessly?? Has anyone tried cm12.1 is it good?? Should I flash?

When I switched to CM 12.1 my first thought was also about flashing Boeffla kernel.
But I decided to try native CM kernel for a few days and surprisingly I was not disappointed
Nice, fast kernel, battery friendly.
So there is no need for me to flash Boeffla on CM 12.1
Boeffla kernel is not compatible with CM and he won't make a Kernel for CM until there is an official CM rom

Thanks for the info! can you tell me will AK kernel work in cm12.1?
Hi Chetan, just wondering which version of CM you are using, and how you find it (in particular photo quality). I'm very tempted to flash it myself, but have just started using Boeffla Kernel with OOS, so wish to give that a bit of a go...

No problem bro! Can you tell me which Custom rom and Kernel you using in your OP2?? :silly:
Since development of AK has ceased, don't expect the last version of AK to work with "never" builds of CM12.1 though.

Sounds strange, it did to me, but I'm so impressed by the Chinese. Sceptical at first, but flashed the ROM and was extremely surprised.
Check the thread by @CBpbxEcmecmBeH

flashed sultanxda and tested for a day seems radio is little weak , some wifi networks are showing poor strength which were having little more power before ..
There's a dedicated thread for these questions,

So I'll close this one. :good:

I thought this is a forum to ask questions like this and the purpose of this forum - especially a q&a thread - is to get answers, not more browsing, because everyone is searching here first for whatever mods, roms, kernels to find the best, the working one, or any new one...? And all of this is based on people who have one minute to post a useful answer here. Maybe I think the wrong way...
I link all I have here.
I currently used Agni on Kate, this seem to have the best charging speed and the battery backup is not much worse than any stock kernel. I tried shadow, this is just not for me and the third one might be useful, I have no reference from that but worth to give it a try if others don't work for you.
I found this radon version, no idea if it is working on pie or not, didn't try yet either.

Does the same with other kernels? Did you try to calibrate your battery? Might be a battery problem anyway as the device is getting older, it is 4 years since released...

Yeah that's what I thought, I reverted back to nougat and I don't have that problem anymore. Anyway nougat gives me better battery life. I was thinking of getting the battery replaced.

I'm on AOSP Extended v4.6 Unofficial build Dec 20 2018, this is a very stable ROM. I couldn't find any bugs so far.
Previously I was using Lineage OS v14.1 with Radon kernel that was also very stable. With stock kernel I was having a battery problem.
