I have been unsuccessful in identifying the exact model number of Bell Mobility's Samsung Galaxy Note 3 apart from calling them. Anyone know what it is?

SM900N-W8, its on the box that came with your phone too.
Also you can press Menu Button->system settings then select the "general tab" then scroll down and select "about device". Your model number is displayed there.
Sent from my Telus SM900N-W8 via XDA Premium App
Thanks guys, this confirmation helps a lot. I am looking at purchasing an AT&T model from the USA and I wanted to ensure that it would work with Bell and their network specs for LTE. My other option would be to just buy one from Bell but I wanted to source out the best prices/deals before going that route. :good:
Opps, sorry guys, looks like I posted this question in the wrong section......pls remove or close if appropriate.

To be able to use a Galaxy Tab elsewhere, you need need to have the GSM version, like you can see in Roto's thread : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=843323 and also, here :
http://www.slashgear.com/verizon-galaxy-tab-review-15113997/
Unfortunately (for you), Verizon is basically a CDMA operator; their Tabs are coming with a special module for controlling the access in their network,
and cannot take a SIM card... I am really sorry for you and hope this helps... Am I right, guys ? Please correct me if I'm wrong !
Googling Indonisia and CDMA indicates that there are CDMA networks there.
As far as i am aware though, CDMA devices are not locked - you just need to get the new network to register the ESN of the device. I could be wrong though!
Regards,
Dave
What are you trying to unlock? There is a code to bypass the activation if you want to use it via Wifi.
If you are just trying to bypass the activation to get the device to work click this link: http://www.droid-life.com/2010/11/26/how-to-bypass-activation-on-the-samsung-galaxy-tab/
As far as getting Verizon in Indonesia i have no idea if it is even possible.
(if you have an android cell phone, just tether it to your galaxy so you don't have to for more data. You can find a tutorial on youtube on how to tether your device to your galaxy tab.

The ESN for the device is a bit like a GSM IMEI number, and is unique to the device. Therefore the only way to get the ESN is to buy the Tab!

hello someone know for DIAG MODE samsung galaxy tab?
please someone help me
Sell the Tab on eBay and buy a GSM version instead. Trying to get an off-network CDMA device to work basically involves bribing someone at the telco to enter it into their system. It's unlikely to work. Easier, quicker and probably cheaper in the long run to sell it and buy one that will work properly.

Did you get in contact with Verizon? If you bougth it with out contract, they're supposed to give you network unlock code.
My friend has a G2 and wants a hand putting a ROM on it, but I'm not sure which ones work for it. The only sections I see for Android Development are AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, and Sprint. Is there a specific one of them that will work, or another separate forum for the Canada version? Also I don't know which carrier he is with, but I'm waiting to hear back from him and I'll update this post when I do.

I have a friend with the G2 as well. Lol
I'm pretty sure it should be under AT&T but you should also check model number. Like D-80X (where x is a number)

Rogers, telus, Bell etc. are under model number D803
wind moblicity are under a different model.
Root & Roms
I'm just looking to find out the same thing here. I have the D-803 with Telus. I just picked it up last week and have had the Galaxy S3 (d2att) up until now. I'm holding off rooting and flashing anything until I can get confirmation on which is the best route for both rooting and Rom's to use.
Has anyone been able to get a definitive answer for this?

Hello I recently purchased a galaxy s5 on Craigslist and thought it was an unlocked version but when I got home and looked closer the model number of the phone is SM-G900 ... Does anyone know what carrier the phone originated on?i can't seem to find anything online about this version as all other carriers have a letter after the 900 telling you what carrier it's to. Any help would be greatly appreciated
Also with the version will I get lte on att network?
Nobody can read anything in that tiny screenshot man

Yeah, the screenshot is just a thumbnail. As far as I know, there's a few unlocked versions out there, where the G900W8 and G900F support 4G, and the G900H does not. The G900T is Tmobile's phone, but it is unlocked, supports 4G, and works on AT&T's networks. It looks like whoever sold this to you tried to get one over on you by hiding the letter, because if the actual model of the phone turns out to be G900H, then you won't be able to use 4G on AT&T, because, hardware-wise, the G900H doesn't have the bands necessary to use 4G.
If you can't find it in system info, see what happens when you plug it into your computer. Sometimes (in my case for one), Will say something like: "What would you like to do with this device?"
And then give you the model number of the phone.
If it still turns out to be G900 with no letter, then who knows? Maybe it's some model manufactured straight from Samsung designed to be a developer device. I'm not sure if this is possible, but it's the only other explanation I can come up with.

I've been an iPhone user for 5 years now. 3G and 5 versions. I am tired of iTunes I would also like to tinker a bit with my next phone. . I have used Linux as my main desktop os for a few years.
Anyways, I'm on a grandfathered unlimited data plan on att. My iphone 5 has no working power button, the mic is defective and the battery is worn.
I work in construction so i was considering the s5 for its dust rating and removable battery.
I spoke with tmobile today and they told me that any tmobile device, even if bought for full price new on amazon or best buy would be locked to tmobile service. They informed me I would need service with them in order to unlock. If that's the case it rules out buying a tmobile version for the unlocked bootloader.
Does the unlocked version from bestbuy come with the unlocked boot loader?
To clarify I meant the model listed as "Sam G900"

I'm pretty sure he's just going off what best buy says for the model.
I too am wondering this question. Very disappointed in the new S6, thought it was going to be "the next big thing", turns out they just want to be like apple now.
Side note, where would u recommend buying an unlocked bootloader S5, that has LTE capabilities for att? Or does that not exist in the US? Been searching but coming up empty handed.

I don't have the phone I am referencing. Like mentioned earlier, it's just the model number off of best buys webpage. They have the g900a model and a Sam-g900 for sale. They only sell the tmobile prepaids unlocked at a higher price point.
Is there a reputable online seller of new or refurbished unlocked tmobile versions?
I don't know if I wanna gamble buying used.

Buy a 900f from ebay. There are tons of reputable sellers there, just look at their feedback score. All qualcomm models support all lte frequencies, however they're not activated by default. There's a guide in general or q&a which shows how to activate all freqeuncies

Does the 900f come with unlocked bootloaders? Is there a way you can identify if they have an unlocked bootloader without physically checking the phone just don't want to spend hundreds of dollars and kinda get stuck with a phone that's not what I wanted.

I just purchased an unlocked GS5 G900T (Tmobile version) from eBay yesterday, and should have it by the end of the week. I've purchased my last 3 phones from eBay, and all have been true to the ad, and in excellent condition.
You do need to study the photos closely though, and make sure the seller has good feed back, and a lot of feedback (I never buy from sellers who have only a few ratings and/or using a new account).
I got this phone to use with ATT and wanted an unlocked bootloader. Kinda wish I knew that you could activate the frequencies on the 900F though, as it seems like most of the development is for that model. Oh well, as long as I can root and have a few choices of ROMs, I'll be happy.
I'll probably be using some sort of stock based rom on this phone (for a while at least).

I did not know that T-Mobiles Galaxy S5 Came with unlocked bootloaders. I am just going to get one from them since T-Mobile and ATT run on basically the same LTE Basebands and LTE will not be affected as much as the international version when i'm on ATT's network

didn't read the rest of the replies but cricket...they sell it with unlocked boot loader, and you can sim unlock after six months...but they are owned wholly by att so you'll have att's reception and reliability. Of course your unlimited data would be history but crickets rates are significantly lower than most other mvno carriers
Edit: the model no is sm-g900az

I called bestbuy.com customer service. The customer service agent was no help. No additional info than what's provided on the webpage (actual samsung model # is what I was looking for).
She transferred me to their technical support department. The gentleman spent about 5 minutes or so searching and couldn't come up with anything more.
I was told to call an actual best buy store and speak with their mobile department.
I called later today when best buy opened up. Sat on hold for 8min before an actual human being answered the phone. They too were no help. The conversation went like this...
Me: do you know which model of the g900 the sku 5760005 is referring to. . The listed model number Sam-g900 with that sku# is not an actual samsung model number.
Them: it's a g900.
Me: no you do not understand, g900 should be followed by one more letter. Is it a g900a, g900t, g900v, g900f, g900h, etc?
Them: it's a g900. What provider do you have?
Me: I'm on att but probably going to tmobile soon.
Them: we don't carry tmobile. I have a g900a. It works good. (they have the prepaid tmobile s5 on their website).
Me: nvm. Thanks have a nice day.....click.
Hello,
I have had this old Galaxy S5 for sometime and it has FRP on but I cannot bypass it, I've tried methods pertaining to the SM-G900 model but none have availed, my model is SM-S903VL(GP).
I haven't found any info aside from my model basically being the same and having no issue rooting with the files pertaining to the SM-G900's
Any help to get me through this FRP would be bless by the papa himself, thx

Well, Since no one has tried to help you, I'll throw my 2 cents in...
Your So Called Galaxy S5, well, those numbers you posted?! They are NOT for a Galaxy S5 900! The SM-G900P is/was a Sprint Phone! Plus, It was actually used by other Brands, Like Boost Mobile, Virgin Mobile all of which were Tied to the "Sprint Network" .
Oh, Back the S3's came out, was about the time I had Left TracFone! Could, maybe be theirs, but I believe it is not their either.
If this Can Power On, then you need to check out all menus inside. I would look for the IMED IME Numbers! With those, you can "Google" and Know the carrier , as possible Name of the phone!
I am pretty certain that this unit, is NOT an Official, Samsung Galaxy S5.

Thank you so much for a reply,
The phone tho in fact is a TracFone phone as the logo cover and it boots up with that deathly blue TracFone logo.
Also I googled my model SM-S903VL and it's listed as Straight Talk all tho a few other links state both for the phone, and well the SM-G900 I had read in on another thread about it possibly being similar, so with that in mind I had hopes for a possible bypass on the frp.
I will check the numbers out to make sure they all match when I arrive back home. Interesting that you say it might not be an OFFICIAL Galaxy S5, the phone was obtained by a relative who buys TracFone only and has since switched emails through out each phone so unlinking the phone to the email would be very improbable.
Haha I notice my misspelling of TracFone and I do apologize as I do so with my grammar.
