Control LED notification with Xposed mod ? - Nexus 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Is there a Xposed mod that allow to control LED notification ? i don't like the fact that it's blinking every 10 sec .. i would like something like every 3 sec.. And eventually open the screen when a notification income..
Thanks for suggestion !:good:

Maybe Light Manager help you. You can find in the Play Store but it doesn't open the screen when a notification income. Only set led colours and blinking frquency.

You can try out this app. Been using the full version from day one.

LightFlow (from gplay) is also a neat app (I'm currently using it).

check this out. It is still in early development, but why not try it?

The Xposed LED Notification module doesn't work for me on my Nexus 5. Tried different settings and still doesn't work. Rebooted many times after applying settings etc. Removed it.
Some other modules work and loving it!

Dude, it is said to work on Nexus 5 with android 4.4.2 ( this is actually the device owned by the author of the app). Do you have xposed framework installed? Do you even know what it is? You deffinetly need xposed framwerk to run an xposed Module.
Ow, also you need to have the default System LED notifications enabled. The module just replaces the color and the pulse time.

Hey man! Yeah I do have the Xposed framework installed as I'm using other modules and they work! It's no biggie, just weird that it doesn't work. It actually stops the notification led from working at all even for other apps. Default LED is enabled also.
Thanks anyway!

Hello,
I've the same problem with my Nexus 5. The framework is enable, but the "Exposed LED Control" module doesn't modify LED notifications.
I have other installed modules (like gravitybox) which works fine.
Thanks in advance.

same here on nexus 5.

Same problem here with Nexus 5. Sometimes it seems to work, but most of the time it doesn't.

It also dont work with nexus 4, did anyone managed to make it work ?

it isn´t working fpr me either. Using an i9505 and other Modules (like Play Store Info, or MinMinGuard) are working, ut not this module. The colour preview of the module is working, but when an ctual notification aarives the led is just using the stock colour nad not my selected one in the module.

That is strange. I have i9505 Running Samsungs TW KitKat , and it works fine for some apps. (Tested on Facebook, Whatsapp, Facebook Messeger and Snapchat.
It does not work for Gmail and for Missed Calls (SecPhone.apk)

I am using Whatsapp´s own led manager, which is working. Have you tried Hangouts?
Is this a known problem for apps which are using the SecPhone.apk (because you mention it in your second sentence)?

Does light manager work with any app?

Disregard previous post, just installed it (Light Manager ), and it does allow for any app.....

Doesn't work with my N5 either. I suspect there is a conflict with GravityBox but I haven't had a chance to test.

I use Light Flow. For me it's better than the module on Xposed

[Q] Can I do these things?

Granted, I've only had the phone for 4 days, and I'm still learning, but here are some things I'd like to do that I'm guessing are probably not default settings. Are there any tweaks/mods to help me?
1) Remove "Sprint" from my lock screen.
2) Prevent the screen from turning on once fully charged. I have it set to never turn the screen off when charging, so this makes the screen stay on forever.
3) Keep the screen from dimming quite so much when staying awake while charging. I plug the phone in while in the car to keep the screen awake, but then it dims down to where I can't see a darn thing.

What state is your device in now? Are you rooted? What rom are you running?
Yeah, I guess that would have been useful information. Sorry.

Np...not sure about the last 2 on your list. However, it looks like ForceRom does not have Xposed Framework integrated so might try installing it and Nottach Xposed Mod and this will not only allow you to change the carrier message on the lockscreen but do all sorts of other cool stuff.
As always make sure you do a nandroid before flashing Xposed just in case. I don't see you having a problem but never know.

Yupz, what he said. The Xposed framework + the Nottach module can fulfill your #1 and #2 wishes.
As for wish #3, you can probably override that "feature" using an app like E-Robot. It's like Tasker but free and easier to use.
Edit: I just checked my E Robot options and you can create a rule so that when you connect an external power supply like your charger, you can set the screen brightness level whatever percentage you want.
Thanks to both of you. Xposed and Nottach were next on my list of things to do, anyway.
Hmmm....
I've installed the Xposed framework and the Nottach module, and nothing seems to have any effect. I keep getting that warning that it's not made for my phone and then nothing happens. I've tried changing my status bar color, clock color, carrier label, and others. Regular reboot and hot reboot.
What's up with that?
FYI, I'm running ForceRom. Could that be interfering?

Did you got into the X posed Framework app and enable the Nottach module, you have to like check it to enable it in the modules section.
And also when you open up the various options and that little Window pops up with the color wheel and etc, there is a little on/off switch to enable that mod individually as well - you could be setting the color and rebooting but if you don't enable that specific mod nothing will happen.

ETA: Should the preview button actually do anything? All it does is seems to nudge my color value slightly.

No problem, and I actually think the preview button is for if you were typing out the color like, ffffff0, it'll show you that color you typed out, that's why when you click preview it always goes back to the original color you started with before you used the wheel to change it.

[Q] Removing the Notification Panel

I have root, Xposed and Wanam. I want to disable the notification panel (toggles) because I want to use an app I installed. The min. it can go down to is 4 (with Wanam). I want it to be totally gone. How do I do it?

Don't think it can be done.. well actually, it probably can, however there isn't a module I know of that can do it at least.

Xposed Module - Font Changer

Hi All,
I don't know if this has been asked before but I am relatively new to the modding scene. I have a Note 3 and I once came across an Xposed module where I can change system-wide fonts within the module. Sadly, I uninstalled it (was just checking its available options then). Now, I can't seem to remember what the name of the module is. One thing I remember about it is not having to reboot the device every single time you want to apply a specific font style (sort of like GravityBox) where you can test the changes when the option is enabled. I hope some one can shed some light on this. Thank you in advance and more power.
GravityBox is for Vanilla/AOSPs, meaning more Nexusish devices...
Wanam Xposed is the best bet for you as it is only for Samsung roms
Thank you for the reply. Gravitybox works fine for me as of the moment. I also use Wanam Xposed as well. My question is if there's a module in Xposed Installer that changes fonts on the fly without having to reboot every change you make?

I think this is what you're after. Change fonts on the fly on a per app basis. As for setting system fonts without a reboot or at least a hotboot I think you will find that it is not possible.
Or you could check this out. Or add your own to SamsungSans.apk.
Good luck
iFont is a good app for download and set a great variety of font

Something I use that has changed names several times (used to be "Unbounce") called Amplify Battery Extender found here: Amplify-Battery Extender is a module that will prevent the play store from phoning home so often and waking up your device from deep sleep. Early iterations allowed you to change settings yourself, but the newest version has good default settings that helped me tremendously with my S5. I don't know how future proof it is with Lollipop right around the corner, but it definitely increased my deep sleep time by about 10-15%.
Give it a try and check out his support page that I linked to. It has a lot of good information posted there.
Edit: The only other one I install for performance related impact is the Android Tuner (I have pro) Xposed module that allows for Crystallization of apps immediately upon close. I found greenify to be completely hit or miss, especially on my friend's phone who installs an insane amount of apps. Greenify would just fail to make them hibernate. I don't know why crystallizing through Android Tuner is better, but it truly closes apps immediately and prevents them from running in the background. Really great software and awesome tech support.
The following are my favorites:
1. Boot Manager (as the name implies, it lets you manage what apps are started or not on boot)
2. Greenify (Will let you manually or automatically hibernate apps, even notifications for apps like Facebook will still work while hibernated)
3. Wanam Xposed (So many hacks to list, this alone is a must have!)
4. XuiiMod (if you get tired of seeing the same UI animations, then this one's for you, it let's you change basically every animation there is)
5. Youtube Adaway (as the name implies, advertising remover for Youtube).
App settings. Let's you choose a different dpi for each app.

I like Complete Action Plus. Had never known of it before.
this is no way a complaint but personally, as exciting as 5.0 may be... i dont think i make the jump until xposed works on 5.0. There are some modules i can live without but when it comes to per app settings... this is my most widely used module as changing the dpi and forcing an app to be full screen looks so much better. google music's stock dpi is horrible. Anyone else going to delay their update till xposed is able to work on 5.0?

My thoughts exactly!
xPosed Framework is my main excuse to root my device (well that and Titanium Backup) and I can't see myself running a device without xPosed, period!
Cheers!
I add "Network Speed Indicator" to mine. Like to see bandwidth numbers.
The guy that did "Wanam Xposed" does not even have a Samsung phone. Go figure. Its all in one toolkit for any Samsung phones and some of it doesnt work well. For example, the disable volumn warning didnt work on my Note 4.
Has anyone got Lockscreen shortcuts to work?

Agree . . I install it on my devices but only to gain access to a couple of functions.
Along with many of the ones noted I love GravityBox KK. Remapped my capacitative buttons...swapped menu and recents (now long press gets recents) and long press back kills the foreground app.

Moto Z Front Facing LED

I'm not sure if this has been mentioned before, but the Moto Z does have a front LED light that can be activated by changing /sys/class/leds/charging.
It seems to be activated when flashing in fastboot (?), and is a small white light between the camera and speaker. The Moto X LED app seems to work with root permissions. Unfortunately there's only one brightness, so the brightness control doesn't work.

i've use this since moto x style, z play also can use, but no option for missi call / message
Use light flow legacy for led for missed notifications.
I'm using Moto Led Enabler (root required).
With this you can choose which app enables the led.
Not the most stable app at the moment but does the job.
I'm currently only using it for hangouts, gmail and missed calls.
Every couple of days it needs a kick in the rear to get going again
Seems good, I do miss the light on my old S4.

Thanks for your tip.
I installed the Moto Led Enabler is working now.
I use Light Flow Legacy with great succes. The LED blinks with every notification I want and it works together with Moto display. It needs root though.
First install the app. Go to the setting and enable 'root modus' and 'use root on every action' (or something like that, I use a different language on my phone). Then go to notifications and set charging led to 'only' and brightness to 255 for every notification. That's all

I guess it's not possible to access the LED without root. Not with this method anyway. So root is required for light flow legacy to work yes.
