Try to press volume up in the download mode. This should boot and allow you to deactivate reactivation lock.
Ok I'm on download mode. What I supposed to do now?
what he said: press volume up button
then, go to settings and deactivate that reactivation lock

Reflash 4.4.2 - takes a couple of attempts sometimes. - Also don't flash any custom kernels cause they are not set up to run with KK's new BL yet

For me on Verizon Note 3 this worked, but the button combo is different. It's the same as ODIN/Download mode:
Hold Vol down, Power, and Home... then Cancel ODIN/Download mode using Vol Down.
I had this same problem where I'd got myself in a "recovery" bootloop from Baja KK ROM... I had a custom power menu that allowed you to choose recovery as a boot option as opposed to selecting it at startup (I know, so hard). I would have the Galaxy Note 3 "Custom" screen then say Recovery mode in the upper left corner in blue, then reboot, etc... Anyway this seems to set it back to normal boot mode.

It didn't work for me and I still unable to enter into Recovery mode. I tried other key combinations but still stuck.
I am able to enter into Download mode by pressing Vol Down+Home+Power buttons and then Volume Up button or Volume Down button (Cancels - restart phone) which shows the downloading screen with the message " Could not do normal boot"
Can anyone here help please?

I am having a having a full-blown panic atack here.
I tried to flash the 4.4 rom onto my n9005. The flash succeeded in Odin, however it is stuck on "recovery booting".
I can't even enter the download mode anymore.

Did you tick the update bootloader option? This update requires the new bootloader.

It didn't work for me at first neither.
I removed the batetry for about 2 minutes, pressed the on button without the battery in it a couple of times, and afterwards I managed to enter download mode again.

This method also worked for me after many times of trying.
My device constantly reboots without getting on for more than 2 sec. I tried recovery update as mentioned in many of the threads available here.
But as written there i am not able to select any option from the boot options available i can scroll down using back button but selecting a option never does occur I tried all the possible combination. Apart from that to get device working, I installed ODIN and did whatever was written but ODIN is not displaying my device. Anyone please help me it's urgent for me because that would save my life and I need to get a solution soon maybe as soon as possible. Do help me friends....:highfive:

have you tried button reset?
Make sure your Galaxy S8 is powered down.
Hold the Volume up, Bixby, and Power buttons at the same time, and keep them held down until you see the Samsung logo.
After 30 seconds, you should see the Android Recovery Menu. If your phone boots up as normal, try repeating the previous two steps.
Press the Volume down button four times, until Wipe data/Factory reset is highlighted. Select it using the Power button.
Press the Volume down button seven times until Yes — delete all user data is highlighted. Select it using the Power button, which triggers the reset process.
Once the factor reset is complete, press the Power button and select reboot system now.
