First of all, I'm using phone with latest LG firmware without any carrier branding. I'm entering PIN which is necessary to see encryption option on any Android phone. Then going to Phone Settings -> Security ...and nothing. There is no Encryption option on list.
Encryption is supported by Android 2.3 or 2.4, so why it is not visible in this phone?
Is there any way to turn on encryption on LG II P710?

The phone is an Optimus L7 (P700) OpenEU FW V20D, BL unlocked & rooted (locked on Orange network).
Playing with the secret unlock menu, i entered a code randomly (aka found on internet) for unlocking. It failed, 9/10 remaining etc.
I used it normally but never restarted it (i think). Today after installing whatsapp over wifi, the initalizing from within the app seemed stuck. So i just took the battery out. It booted normally, asked me the SIM code, i entered it, it accepts it, but there was the SIM icon with Security Error near it. The phone doesn't connect to the network, and the sim is not seen by the phone (though it asks me the SIM code after boot). I can use the phone normally (aka menu is working, different apps are working except wifi, that only works if there's no physical SIM etc). I did Recovery Phone from LGMST (LGMobile Support Tool), it flashed the Orange branded V20C.
The error still persists (the SIM icon with Security Error).
Any ideas are more than welcomed please.
LE : I fixed it by using an unlock code, since the phone was locked onto Orange.
I got my LG D802 from HK. Coming back to where I work ( China ), I found out it doesn't have any option for LTE (4G) in the menu or else. I googled the problem and found I can use the hidden menu and activate LTE for every time I boot my device ( it's a temporary solution as it's gone again and need to re-enabled each time I restart my device ).
So, anybody found any solution for this? I mean a permanent solution which doesn't need enabling after every restart.

Basically, my g2 wont let me connect to wifi network if i entered a wrong password or if the network password has changed.. It just keeps remembering the first password i have entered.
I have tried searching for the forget password function but no luck..
Any help?

I was downgrade my L7 from v20H to v20B and the instalation is smooth, power up is fast.
But somehow i cannot get any network on, even i switch the sim card.
It wrote Service Disabled, all the settings get error, phone icon are missing, network settings is off (grey color).
Is there anything that i can do? Hard reset is okay because i want a fresh instal this smartphone..

I was using my phone normally yesterday when it randomly rebooted on me a few times. When it finally was able to finish booting, it gave me a "Secure startup" screen asking for a password.
I never set up a secure startup option before nor have I ever seen this before.
I tried my screen lock pin, my gmail password and a number of other passwords I use for other accounts, but to no avail.
I am using an LGV20 with stock firmware.
Do I have any hope of decrypting/bypassing the secure startup? I know there are exploits out there for other models of LG that can bypass the secure start, crash the preloader and enter the BootROM, such as the one discussed in this thread:
