Hi, i bought an used exec from ebay and received it right now (the seller sayed it was 100% functional) but it have some issues and i want to know if these issues can be easily fixed, if they are sofware or hardware problem... and... HOW TO FIX THEM .
So... here is:
1.: The phone doens't make any sound, (any speakers works, even when i put a headset it doesnt work). But, when i'm in a call EVERYTHING WORK, i can hear like a normal call, or with speaker normally.
2.: Some times when i turn on the phone it shut down after the "windows mobile" screen or it quikshow the today screen and shut down. So i wait and.. it turns on normally ...and some time after it shows the same issue again.
Please please, help me, i don't know what to do .
Ow, wich button should i press for TURN OFF the phone, not to hibernate...

Thanks but i updated to a new Rom 2 times and the issue is still there and i don't have warranty anymore, the cell phone is used. Please someone help

After all the waiting my phone came back with working signal.
But after receving one misscall or one call my phone freezes and i cant call anyone anymore, so i turn it of then turn it back on the phone doesnt work anymore!till after 2 hours of removing the battary, the phone shows the sony ericsson and enters, but i get an error saying: " sorry processer system is not responding. " so i have to remove the battary and wait at lest 5or6 hours so i can turn the phone on again but the same problem happens over and over is there anyone who knws how to solve such a problem?
i feel my phone got a viruse of some kind that is effecting my processer so is there a way i can completle remove the system from the phone and reinstalle it ill try to root my phone and see if that may help me in any kind but i really need help on this thank you all for you help and time for reading this...

Have you tried re-flashing via SEUS?
i have tried it like 20times the phone only turns on with a black screen that is lit with nothing on it and freezes... the phone only turns on after 2 hours as i said and gives me the error, and after 5or 6 hours turns on but if i get an miss call or call the phone starts to lag and freeze and not respond right...
all the simple first things i tried i want an extream make over for my phone so that it works....
to make it more clear the phone after one month of use this happend flashed it on seue the phone worked but with no signal in it so took it and got it fixed so now the signal is great but the phones softwear is not booting up in any way only after removing the battary for a long time so i need a complete system restor or i need to see if its a processer or just go back to my lame x Sony ericsson X1 and be one sad sony custmer. so please i need this help.....again im very thankfull
Or you could bring it in for a replacement...
ya how will they replace it?if no warrenty im willing to pay an amount but not the price of a new phone if so i go buy a diffrenet one!!!!

I have notices something about my phone before and after update
at first if i switch on my 3G the phone becomes very hot and reboot .
Now if i open any application with 3G or Data or if it becomes hot ..then it reboot ..
My only option was to freeze my phone for a while in the fridge to cool it off but it is only temporal
Help me!! is it a software problem or hardware problem ....

I had the exact same problem before. I toke the phone to Vodafone repair center and told me it is a hardware issue and require to replace the main board and it will take too long to fix and just gave me a new phone , Now I have no problem at all
You may install stock rom and test it. If still meet so, i think have ptoblem with hardware. Bring to guarantee
I just bought the device yesterday new, and from the first use i had a weird issue, the sound is muted, all sounds , music play, calls with speakers on and screen sound, sometimes it works and sometimes not, when i plug the headset i can hear everything

Seems much like software issue, have you downloaded and installed latest N7100 firmware? With odin you can do it "officially" without losing warranty.

i did it and told me PASS, but after booting up the device i found the same background and all my settings still there like nothing happened , and now the the all mobile sounds are gone forever even with restart not working

Wow, this stinks. If it were my brand-spanking new phone, I'd return it. It almost sounds like a solder issue. My Note 2 has a very loud speaker with excellent quality (nice bass) while listening to podcasts. When on a call using the earpiece, it's actually too loud. I haven't figured out how to turn it down yet, not a critical issue.
Do you get sound at the Samsung logo when you restart the phone? If not, it's a hardware fault and exchange it.

The weird thing , sometimes the sound of Samsung logo working at the start up and sometimes not ... when i just got the device and start to unbox it and turn it on .. it didn't make a logo sound .. but later sometimes it does !!!
i gave it to Samsung today and they told me it will take 5 days .. they will make new software format and then check the hardware . i hope they detect the problem cause sometimes it works fine for hour and the sound disable just happen for minutes !!

Also, go into the dialer, type in *#0*# and go to the Speaker to see if it works.
I went to the warranty and they told me it will take 5 days for troubleshooting, they said first we are going to install new software then you will have 48 hours for testing, if the problem persist they will change it for me , i don't know if they can discover it, Also here's some link for some users have the same issue :

I received it from Samsung Maintenance and they implemented new software installation and told me the problem solved, anyway i took it and just going to my car the issue happened again, i back to them they told me they will troubleshoot it again !!! to be sure that the problem persist !!! WTF

try pressing on the main speaker, the point of contacts of most phone speakers are just behind or sides of the actual speakers just to rule out loose contact. also try to master reset if it doesn't work try reinstalling the rom to rule out software problem. Otherwise, I would return it for a replacement. Good luck.
Edit:
If pressing on the speaker temporarily solves the problem, I would still ask for replacement.

I already asked for replacement but 5 days passed and they still trying to troubleshoot it before going to replace ... damn idiots !!!
Anyway , so you saying it's mostly a hardware issue , right ?

Did they get this issue fixed for you? Mine is doing basically the same thing, but only the media volume, it gets muted randomly and I can't adjust it, so I reset the phone and then it works.....any ideas???

Best thing to do here is for you to take it back and MAKE THEM change your phone under warranty.
