[Q] On the settlement of an idea of MF3 soft brick - AT&T Samsung Galaxy S 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshootin

Chinglish
My mobile phone was upgraded to MF3, then the bricks, at present only in Odin mode, but can not brush ROM in odin &kies.
I found that AT/TM is printed on plastic battery chamber, and I saw the writing on the I337 motherboard and M919 words, so expect I337 and M919 is the same hardware
On the basis of this, if I can use the riff brush into the M919 bootloader BL, to break the lock? (M919 BL is not a prerequisite) can brush M919 Rom?
Baidu online translation, please understand!

I think you're saying that you believe that the M919 bootloader would be compatible with the i337. I'm not a Dev, but maybe this bump will help them see your suggestion.

PLEASE Help, i337 MF3 S4 is soft brick. :(

Hello community I am sort of in a panic because my new S4 is now paperweight. I STUPIDLY in safestrap thought if I remove my stock rom I can get more memory for my ROM, now it is in an endless cycle of staying on the samsung logo (custom).
What I tried:
- Odin Pit recovery method for i337, (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2404970)
- Kies Emergency recovery just froze after decrypting and the device when plugged in woulg not be shown on kies it would constantly try to connect.
-Factory reset in recovery menu
I REALLY don't know what to do now and it is 4:00 AM for me as I type this. The only solution I think is possible is to try odin a different way.:crying:
I do believe that you are in the wrong forum. This is for the Sprint variation of the S4.

You are correct.
I don't know anything about safestrap so I really can't lend any info. So OP you should go.to your correct gs4 variant thread and ask there.

[Q] Flashing back to stock from international ROM

I need to take my AT&T Galaxy S4 I337 to my AT&T store to switch it for a new one because the volume buttons are sticky and don't click properly. I flashed back to stock I337UCUAMDB with ODIN using the files from this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2261573
I was running the GOLDENEYE 10 ROM which uses the international Samsung ROM running Android 4.3 and is modded to work on the I337. I put the phone into download mode and successfully flashed the phone but the phone does not get past the AT&T boot screen. I successfully flashed the phone again and I got the same result. I am suspecting that there might be an issue flashing the stock AT&T firmware while running an international ROM. I would like to know how I can flash back to any of the stock AT&T firmwares so that I can return my phone without voiding my warranty.
Also, I would like to know if it is possible to use the Triangle Away app on the I337 to reset the flash counter. The XDA thread for this app says that you must unlock the bootloader to use this app for the I337. I am not familiar with how to unlock the bootloader for this device. Any help with resetting the flash counter would be much appreciated.
Thank you in advance.
Try to Re-download the firmware. Reinstall drivers and or a different USB port/wire.
There is no way to unlock the bootloader. But yes you can use triangle away.

Thank you for your suggestion but since the method I tried did not work in the first place, I went ahead and fixed my phone using the method I found in this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2558869
All of the files in this thread worked perfectly to restore my phone back to stock.
After you odin back to stock you MUST DO A FACTORY RESET within recovery, all will work.

If you are on the stock MK2 firmware with the Knox bootloader you CANNOT Odin to MDC or MDL or anything before MJA. Period. This question has been asked and answered dozens of times. ALL the answers you are looking for are here.
Please S E A R C H.
I believe you can Odin just the MDC modem to unlock your device. But you cannot Odin a stock tar file to downgrade. Just the modem should work. Autoprime has an MDC modem file in his international unlock thread that should work. Others on mk2 have reported successfully downgrading just the modem. If it doesn't work it will either fail in Odin, or you will have to Odin the mk2 modem back to fix it.

Thanks for the clarification cruise350. It's true that some have been able to sim unlock with just a modem downgrade, hopefully he'll get it.
It just gets so crazy that the same questions get asked over and over. and then asked again.
change modem
thank you guys
because of you two i success to downgrade the modem to MDC without any problem
and succesfully unlock the s4 sprint mobile
and now i will need only to find a way to stop the notification of the security information that say an application attempted to access system on your device without authorization. this attempt has been blocked
i make googling and most people it is the knox problem
do you guys have a suggestion for removing the notification ?
i see this web : http://www.droidviews.com/disable-knox-security-service-on-samsung-galaxy-devices/
what do you think ?

You can use Tibu and remove everything that contains Knox in it. That did it for me.

I uninstalled everything that contained Knox in it. I believe there was a few of them including two com.knox.xxxx
It's been a while since I did it so I'm forgetting the exact names and how many. I just used the search function in TiBu to find them so try that.

Rooting ATT Galaxy S4

Okay awhile back I found a thread on the net to root the Galaxy S4 and change it to pure Kitkat. The only problem was it wasn't made for my phone, I think it was for another variance of the device. With that being said I want to try again and another site someone mentioned a ROM called AOSP....Is there a dummy-proof way of rooting the device and adding this or another ROM onto my ATT Samsung Galaxy S4?
I appreciate any assistance. I am somewhat familiar with rooting as I've rooted my older Droid X awhile back.
Thanks

Be careful that you know what you are doing before flashing roms to your phone. You should post more information about your device when asking a question (I.e. what carrier and firmware ,mdl, mf3, or mk2).
If you are on any firmware before the mf3 version(mdl) you can easily install a "custom recovery" like twrp or cwm to your S4 but the versions after would require a mod called "safestrap" to be installed which have a modified version of a custom recovery. It is similar but not the same.
Read around first to understand more. You may be lucky and have the version with an unlocked bootloader and that allows you to flash roms, kernels, and more.
But if you have the locked bootloader you can easily brick your phone and would need to odin back to a firmware and lose your data. Just look in settings>about phone and look at the last 3 letters in baseband.

Please read the forum before posting.. Your laziness is not respected if you want to root your device then you need to be able to research what your doing before you do it especially if you are on the xda forum... Look up the method to revert back to mk2 and then you can root for nb1 there is no method yet... And you cannot get the stock android experience which is aosp.
