hey guys/XDAxperts!
i just had this old phone from my friend and he asked me if he could have CM9 on his phone. because he saw CM10 and was amazed how good it looked compared to ICS.
but here's the deal. after i rooted the phone and than put CWM on it to install the ROM, everything was going well, atleast ALMOST everything.
after i installed cyanogenmod 9 , the screen was all blurry, Gamma was too low and the wrong resolution and DPI. i couldn't change that, even with root access. so i restored the stock rom with lg KDZ updater tool. after it was done, you expect it to reboot normally...but not this time.
the phone booted in recovery mode, i tought ''just a little bug''. so i selected [reboot this device]. after the reboot it just got the recovery screen again. how many times i tried, it just reboots into recovery mode, and there is almost nothing,NOTHING! i found that can solve it.
These are all the options i tried :
* whiped everything (cache system data dalvik etc. etc.) and afterwards tried to put CM9 on External SD-card and installed it from there [DIDN'T WORK!]
*WHIPED everything and FLASH stock rom using KDZ manager stock rom v10.0c while mobile was in emergency mode -> 3GQCT + DIAG , 3GQCT + (cs-)EMERGENCY , CDMA +DIAG ,CDMA + (cs-)EMERGENCY [DIDN'T WORK EITHER]
*Tried the battery fix (30sec out) and that whipe some stuff and reboot it with rom installed on it [DIDN'T WORK]
*HARD RESET vol- + home button + power button
none of em worked. and these are all the options i know.
p.s. : Odin files do not exist for the LG optimus l3 e400 and yeah... i just registered on this site, so im a {says with pain in heart} a noob!
success:good:
Man please do the kdz update . INSTALL ALL USB LG DRIVERS THEN CONNECT PHONE TO COMPUTER BUT IT MUST BE WITHOUT BATTTERY ( because u Need to wipe everything )
There u conect with bottom down (without battery attached!)
The phone Will be reconized then DOWNLOAD THE RIGHT .KDZ FILE ACORDING TO UR COUNTRY AND FLASH VIA KDZ UPDATER
PS:THIS IS A LG PHONE THERE IS NOT A ODIN FLASHER !!!
I have just helped you out? HIT THANKS!

I have just helped you out? HIT THANKS!

Before flashing the KDZ to return from cyanogenmod you HAD to format system partition, data partition and cache...
Now you have to modify a KDZ wich does that... (or somehow maybe enter fastboot or something)
Try look for a kdz specially modified to downgrade, those generally format everything
===
Edit: You have access to CWM.. so.. go to mount & storage- FORMAT system, data and data/media, & cache...
Then flash a KDZ
Right way to Hard Reset
[DIDN'T WORK]
*HARD RESET vol- + home button + power button
none of em worked.

I don't think you followed the correct hard reset procedure. Try this:
When the phone is turned off, press and hold the Home key + Volume down key + Power key for over 10 seconds. When the screen shows the LG logo, release the Power key.
After the screen shows the hard reset screen, release the other keys.
Leave your phone for at least a minute while it performs the hard reset

What did you do before this? You need to give more details.
OK, I played me a little in the Hidden menu around, anything with factory reset test or so, since I can not get into download mode, although I get to TWRP, rom can flash and make backups back, but I can not start the system, it always comes short the LG logo and then it starts automatically in the TWRP, I can not do more, charging works
I hope you understand me,mei english is very bad!

sorry for the double post, now nothing works well
Have you tried to get into download mode? It's "vol up + power".

Yep,but I can not get into download mode, only in Recovery(TWRP)
I make a Factory Reset Test in the Hidden Menu, since I can not do anything
vol up + power = LG BootLogo for a few seconds and then it boots into TWRP
I can flash ROMs and restore backups, but instead of starting to Android, it starts in TWRP
it is very strange

OK now clearly explain step by step what you did before all this happened.
e.g.
1. rooted phone
2. changed XXXX Settings
3. flashed XXX ROM/KERNEL
etc.
Ok,
i Have a LG G2 International Version D802.Stockrom (80210B)
I rooted the Phone and have Twrp installed, this works very well,i flash roms, make Backups since 3 Weeks,no Problems.
OK, yesterday I watched a bit and tried some things in the Hidden menu, the last thing I know I've got something pressed factory reset test
since then booted the phone does not except directly into the TWRP, I can turn it off and when I want to load it comes the Lg logo and remains,
Unfortunately I can not enter the download mode
in TWRP I can see that something needs to be on it but, Cache: 16MB, Data: 355MB, System1910MB, etc. ..
times can you please see if there is the menu? But press nothing
So as I said, I can charge the phone in the TWRP, turn on, turn off, unfortunately, is not more.
I hope you understand my bad English!

Download mode is NOT vol up + power. To enter download mode:
1. Connect a USB cable to computer or wall charger.
2. With the phone off, connect the usb cable to the phone while holding vol up.
It senses the power on the USB cable, and combined with the vol up being held it boots into download mode.
With that said, I would say Factory Reset Test tripped a setting to make recovery the default boot. I'm sure there's a way to undo that without flashing stock firmware in download mode... lets find it.

It takes a long time, i had this issue before, just enter recovery manually Volume Down + Power at LG Logo release and press again.
Then flash CM or something it will take a long time but it will fix it.
hey thanks for the reply.

ive been able to get back into recovery.
timing is very important for this as i thought there was something wrong, but holding down+power from the off state, see lg logo, immediately release buttons, then hold power key gets you to the factory reset screen. push power to reset, and then it boots into twrp recovery...
stuck in twrp
i accidently wiped everything in twrp. now cant boot into android, nor can install a zip. please advise how to copy zip files to internal sd card to install. please advise fast

Thanks to your post, I knew I should really give TWRP a chance to restore (which wipes system) and after like 15 minutes, it finished wiping system and moved on.
Thanks for sharing this info.
This Guide is to Return Back to Stock.
This has NOT been tested Yet So do it on your Own Risk! The Files are STOCK though from LG`s Servers But this Method Should work if you have bricked your device.
How to flash ROM:
1) Download the Rom You Want! Choose your model At the Link Below - The Files are Hosted on my server for fast speeds!
2) Download LG mobile support tool and Install it. (It will open up when its done just CLOSE IT OFF)
LG Mobile Support Tool Download
3) Download / Install FlashTool (R&D Test Tool) & Drivers
Download Here
4) Power off your G2, press Volume Up & Down key and then plug in the usb cable (enter to a download mode)
5) Extract FlashTool and run UpTestEX.exe
6) In R&D Test Tool window,
Select Type = 3GQCT (top left hand side)
PhoneMode = DIAG (top right hand side)
Select kdz file = click to select your LG stock rom *.kdz
Click "Normal web upgrade test" (bottom right hand side)
Then another window will pop up, click "Upgrade Start" button
wait a few seconds, another window "Select Country & Language" pop up,
=> Country=Republic of Korea
=> Language=English
you can click ok to proceed
7) All Done and wait for finish!
8) Be Sure that after flashing to perform a reset as for some reason flashing this does not remove what was there before until you reset. By turning off, Holding down power and Vol Down until it comes up on the screen.
If I helped you in anyway feel free to Buy me a Drink or click that THANKS button
I can confirm it works (i've done it twice to recover from unsuccessful CWM attempts).
The best way to get the stock rom would probably be the one explained in this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1073827 (it ensures you get the latest rom).
Thanks for the post really usefull .
but i can't do a reset.. press vol down and power... appears LG logo and disconnects.. i connect it again but account wasn't reseted...
am i doing sometinhg wrong?
thanks

That program NO longer works , Requires an IMEI , and also The files I get come directly from LG servers so they are the latest and I always delete the older firmwares when they does happen. Theres a restore method out there somewhere thats a program but not sure what it was called.

Getting this error after clicking the Upgrade Start button:
Code:
Please install CSMG B2C Client TOOL
Select Tool -> B2C Client Setup menu
I've run the B2CAppSetup.exe and had the program pop up (incidentally, there is a way to restore through that - connect the tablet in download mode, then go to Options -> Upgrade Recovery), then closed it, and followed all the other instructions exactly.

Hi Guys
can someone please help me with my G Pad. I was trying to flash cyanogen but something went wrong. I´ve rooted it with Kingo succesfully, then I tried to flash latest TWRP 2.6.3.0 and that is where I failed. I´ve installed it from terminal emulator but some errors occured. So I´ve tried doing factory reset, GPad rebooted and now it won´t start. I´m in a bootloop: LG Logo with classic secure booting error and then it loads TWRP, but it only runs a script (see photo), and then reboots.
So now works only adb (not fastboot) and download mode. I can not reinstal recovery via adb and LG updater is allways stuck at 4%. I´ve tried V50010A_00.kdz and V50010E_00.kdz multiple (many) times on 2 different laptops but it allways ends in
********* 2Chip Model.dll input Parameter End*************

09:26:59 : ż©±â´Â Retry şÎşĐŔÔ´Ď´Ů
Hard reset only loads TWRP and bootloop continues.
So please, I would be very grateful for any suggestions.
If you actually read the TWRP thread you would have known that 2.6.3.2 is the latest, and that 2.6.3.0 doesn't work with CM/AOSP ROMs.
You need to follow the returning to stock guide.
Well I downloaded TWRP for my LG G Pad from TeamWin site and the only recovery was openrecovery-twrp-2.6.3.0-awifi.img. But I could´ve dig in it a little, usually I´m very careful and it´s my own fault.
But can someone give me advice what to do with my "back to stock" guide? I´ve already followed this guide X times, but I´m still stuck at 4%.
EDIT:
After 3 long days I´ve managed to overcome my 4% stuck problem. After hours of reading tens of threads I´ve tried almost everything: changing COM ports, reinstalling drivers, reinstalling LG mobile support tools, manual flash with LG , PC suite, LGNPST, installing new windows 7...
After a while I understood that the guide for back to stock recovery is OK, problem was in the extraction of the KDZ file. My Windows 7 couldn´t for some reason cooperate well with any of LG flashing programmes. So then I installed Windows XP. Nothing to lose.
It worked flawlessly! KDZ extraction process was taking significantly longer and then flashing process went trough magical 4% stop and now my GPad is like new.
So the solution for me was to install Windows XP and flash from it.
I hope it will help people with this flash stuck at ... problem.

Download TWRP in flashable zip and flash the newest twrp. Also download ROM and flash it after twrp. If twrp just runs script and then restarts then you have to do a return to stock. TWRP did the same to me too and had to do a return to stock.
When you do a return to stock make sure you click where it says web upgrade. That opens a new window and that's where you start the upgrade. I got confused there...

So your advice is to flash TWRP and ROM, then do return to stock?
I would have already flashed new TWRP but the fastboot is not working for me (don´t know why, just says waiting for device) and until now i haven´t found a way to flash recovery via adb from recovery. Or to enter full TWRP.

Hi,
I am struggling with this damn LG D802. A friend brought it to me to unlock it as he said.
when i turned it on , it boots and it stops where it asks me "Enter pin/password to decrypt"
So i thought ok, i would enter recovery and wipe cache. That's my problem, i can't enter recovery mode.
I tried power + volume down , and when LG logo appears then i release and hold them again , nothing. I also tried volume down + power and when LG logo come , i release them and pressed volume up+volume down. Nothing. And some other combinations but still nothing.
The next step was to reflash it, so i used LG flash tool 2014, i download the right kdz file , and flashed procedure went fine. But on next reboot same problem " Enter pin/password to decrypt".
There are no files that i need from the phone , just to make it work again .
Any ideas?
In flashtool 2014, keep the cdma option in the menu, select CSE flash. It wipes everythinG. If it's not the sim card your device should be fine,

first of all - never, but never delete/wipe your internal storage...
second - and i've wrote this many times already:
to turn the device completely off
- your usb cable must be disconnected
- have the device charged for more than 50%
- press pwr button for more than 10 seconds
- at some point, LG logo will show - DO NOT LET THE PWR BUTTON OFF - KEEP IT PRESSED
- only then the device will be powered off completely with the black screen
THANK YOU!! you are awesome.. I misunderstood and i thought that i should wipe everything.. What do it do now?

now you find the thread on how to transfer a rom to a device directly from twrp or adb... or how to flash KDZ stock (then reroot and go from scratch)
i've never done it because i've never messed up anything on my device (my luck) - so i don't know in details - but there are threads on this subjects...
btw one more thing i've noticed in your 1st post - you had an .img rom file
you can't flash .img in twrp - you'll need the rom .zip file...
how do i access TWRP?
search on which button combination to press to enter twrp... (but before you try the key combinations - have the device powered off completely as described above)
on my device and 20h bootloader its
- press and hold pwr button + volume down
- lg logo shows (let the buttons go for a second or less)
- quickly press and hold pwr button + volume up
that works on my device...
you probably have older bootloader (20a) so you can try
- press and hold pwr button + volume down
- lg logo shows (let the buttons go for a second or less)
- quickly press and hold pwr button + volume down again
now - if you have TWRP installed - it will show you a white screen (factory reset) with yes/or no buttons - just answer YES to all and it will boot to TWRP (you answer with volume up/down keys for selection and pwr button to confirm)
if nothing of that works - try searching for other key combos... but afaik those are the only two that exist - depending on bootloader...
