Phone Serial Number - AT&T Samsung Galaxy S 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshootin

I noted that the S4's firmware info was out of date on Sammobiles.com. I contacted them & they asked for my phone's serial number to troubleshoot.
Is it safe in providing this?

I wouldn't provide any information to them unless their credible and/or you've used their services before.

Understood, however Sammobiles.com is reputable, no?

No network in my Note after getting back from service center

After I got back my phone from the service center where I had given it for a display replacement claim, I am not getting any network. I tried 2-3 sim-cards. I guess the service center guys did a software update before returning my phone since there was a notification to update when I had given them the phone.
It's like, get range only 10% of the time the Note is switched on. I flashed different firmwares using ODIN but even that didn't help.
So is this an hardware problem?
Doubtful. Check the apn settings, see if it corresponds to your provider.

Send back to samsung,

Why close the thread ? The OP hasnt got a solution yet !!
Anyway, As SpyderTracks said Check your APN settings, and maybe a different radio too !
Are you not getting a signal anywhere ? or just in one location ? have you checked to see whether there are any faults with your providers network ?

^What a joke.
First off, try another ALREADY active SIM card (a friends or something), if it works, this may be something to contact your carrier for tech support about, if it doesn't, contact the manufacturer.

[Q] Checking if it is Original or AP set

Can some one help me check if this Samsung Galaxy S4 is a Original made or AP set?

First: I assume you are in Malaysia
second: your device CSC shows it is for Indonesia (as per sammobile.com)
Third: Where did you but it from? (Authorized Samsung outlets or any electronics outlets)
Same with mine..bought from samsung outlet

If you bought it from samsung outlet than there will be no problem if u need to claim warranty from samsung. The only thing is with indonesian CSC code I wonder if your modem firmware is optimise for other Telcos outside indonesia.

[Q] Model Number

Does anyone know the model number for the Verizon Note 3 ? I called Verizon and they do not know (and I searched this forum).
I know it sounds silly but I need the model number to order one where I work.
SM - N9005V

I believe it's SM-N9005 but you still need to make sure it's the Verizon variant cause I believe that model is used on other carriers but I could be wrong.
Edit: what incognito said

Thank you for pointing me in the right direction.
I have confirmed with Verizon that the model number is SM-N900V

[Q] Umm...Samsung thinks my Note 3 is the Developer Edition

Has anyone noticed this before. My phone is registered with Samsung, I am assuming since I logged in with my Samsung account or maybe checked some box when I set up my phone.
I am rooted so I have that Custom badge when I restart my phone.
I went to the Samsung website to see my registered Devices and it lists my phone as the Verizon Note 3 Developer Edition. It lists the correct ESN number and everything.
Is this normal?
Not sure if this is normal, but when I had a Note 2 I registered it with Samsung and it showed as the developer edition on Samsung's "my devices" page.

It's clearly under the "Your products" section, with the chevron indicating that section is open.
Their site thinks my black/gray Tab 2 is the garnet/red edition.
No biggie.

you select what phone you have when you enter the imei. you have selected to wrong one that samsung's fault. i could have selected developer edition a month ago when i registered my first regular note 3

yeah you type in what phone you have like note 3 for example and then select like what carrier it is. the developer one is listed above the regular verizon one that is why i noticed it a month ago i was like thats odd lol

Register phone with Samsung?

Does anyone know how to register your phone with Samsung UK for the 24 month warranty? Have logged into my Samsung account online but cannot find the correct model number to register.
Thanks.

The asks you to register on power up? My O2 one did.
Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
I'm on O2 and can't remember being asked. The US get a 50% discount voucher for registering on samsung website. Was hoping for something similar over here.
