App you like to see on market

is there any particular type of app people like to see on the market but it's not really available? rather it maybe functions, features or appearance, looking to start a new project but really don't know what to make
Flipboard. .
How about an app that controls the camera flash. Similar to the torch. But,
Instead of On or Off. Maybe try to implement a slider to control the brightness. So you can adjust it to a comfortable level to read a book, maybe add a adjustable timer, i.e. 60 mins then 3 flashes and a fade to off.
I would happily pay £1.99 for an app that did that.

checking out flipboard.
I though you can do that with the torch that they use in cyanogen, but I look in to it anyway.
LaDiDa seems like an interesting app, need to see if I can track down the source code of it.

The stock flashlight app by htc has three levels of brightness(low/mid/high). Maybe it may suit you usage.
Torrent Downloader remote control app
So I can control my torrent handler installed on my PC at home through my phone..
I should pause, continue, cancel current downloads and add new one etc..
It may be sweet? Don't you think?

That already exists if you use uTorrent on your PC (look in the Market for "uTorrent Remote" ).

ICS profiles, coming from a BlackBerry

Howdy
So what's the deal with the profiles in ICS? I'm not sure exactly how they could be used to be beneficial. I just returned after a hiatus to BlackBerry who I must say had the profiles settings down perfect. I use to use android but since then things have changed. It seems the sounds settings menu and profiles should be combined into one settings area or something.
How do you all use profiles? Maybe that will give need insight into how I can use it. I love changing the ringtone based on the app (ie different tones for Google chat, sms, Google voice, email, etc) and different profiles for when I'm at work or home. It's probably that the Google versions are so specific that I can't get my head around them out something. .
Thx.

Smart profiles and Quick profiles in Google Play may give you some easier control.
Unfortunately I never use profiles, so I can't comment over how they work in ICS. Anybody skilled in using profiles?

S-voice does not open in listening mode

When I say "Hi Galaxy" with the screen off, S-Voice opens, but does not listen until I say the phrase a second time. Has anyone else encountered this? I am rooted, with Xposed installed.
Edit:
I'd really like to get to the bottom of this issue, if someone with some experience could give me some feedback. I believe I first attempted to use S-Voice after rooting with root de la vega. It has never opened in listening mode (launched from app drawer or with the screen off feature), even after upgrading to MJ7 (kept root with survival mode in SuperSU), or flashing Beans Rom in SafeStrap. This has led me to believe this is a hardware or kernel issue, but I'm not the most knowledgeable person about these things. Therefore, any feedback would be much appreciated! TIA
Thank you for your feedback

Update: From what I've seen, when I open S-Voice from the app drawer, it should open in listening mode. Anyone have an idea why mine does not?

Update 2: I now use Tasker to close S-Voice when it opens, and start Google Voice Search! Doesn't listen as quickly as the Moto X, takes about 3 seconds, but no complaints here!

I am also having the issue. When I say "Hi Galaxy" or when I just open S Voice it does not open in listen mode. Any ideas?
Same issue here, no luck with clearing data or cash for the app. I'd be fine with the Tasker to Google Search deal but I was having fun with the turning on/off bluetooth and wifi using voice and a few other features S-Voice has, despite being not as reliable. I just went ahead and installed utter to be able to get the functionality of both, but I can't say my battery life is all that great with so many different things going on at once now.

You might not want to close S-voice, but rather just open Google now on top of it. If you close it, I don't think the screen-off "Hi galaxy" command will work next time around.
I have the same issue... Then I realized something. I have Pebble app for my SmartWatch. I disabled the accessibility service for pebble and it works now. So is it pebble or s voice?

Can you share that tasker profile please. I can't use that damn app to save my life. I started using automateit pro because it dumbs it down but that app won't open voice search only the regular Google app.

Create a profile, select application, select S-voice, delect new task, new task, name it .. In the task edit screen, create action, app, load app, and select Voice Search, and don't make any changes in the action edit screen.. make sure it's active on the profile tab, and try it out.. xda has a great tasker tutorial on youtube! Check it out!

I was worried about that when I created that task.. Tasker could not seem to close S-voice so it didn't effect me. When I realized it wasn't closing, I removed that action. I am interested in how the note 3s always listening feature differs from Motos 8x technology. And if Utter! has the potential of being this energy efficient?

Need help with setting up Tasker for Greenify no root

Hi guys. I don't know if you are familiar with the non root version of greenify, but basically you press the hibernation button and the process goes on by itself.
I tried using tasker to auto hibernate upon display off but it doesn't seem to work. It does indeed start up the hibernation process but it doesn't force close the apps as its intended to do. Can anyone help?

Yes I did. I doubt the problem lies within Tasker as such but more the fact that the force closure of apps can't proceed when screen is off. Tasker does its job well.

Make sure u go into accessibility under settings and check the box for tasker if not tasker won't be able to be automatic on stock rom

"TurboPower" Toasts: Which App Generates These?

I am using Tasker to log and also control my G5 Plus connection to its charger (via a smart plug and Echo - plus other variations). It would be useful to refine the data and the way in which Tasker handles the "charger on" and "charger off" commands in my Tasker actions that eventually operate the smart plug if I could intercept the toasts from the "TurboPower"/Qualcomm app. Tasker requires that you name the app producing the toast - and here I had no luck trying to identify the relevant app generating the toasts - which is presumably the app controlling the quick charge system. So if anyone know what is the precise name of the app and how I can find it on my G5 Plus so that I am sure to correctly identify it for Tasker. I have been using Tasker for a few months but am not a genius at using it - preferring to adapt existing ideas for my own purposes - so my problem may be very easy to resolve for someone who has discovered what the app in question could be. Questions have been sent to Motorola on this topic but they did not seem to know what app they put on the OS to deal with the quick charge process!
The quick charge controller is actually part of the CPU. It's not an app.

Thanks for the info. So (since I cannot give Tasker the name of the app - as there is no app) I cannot use Notification Listener, for example, along with Tasker to capture and then use the toasts from the controller in any Tasker actions: is that the conclusion? (Perhaps I should try a screen capture and then use Variable Split etc. - but triggering a screen capture at the right time, e.g. when the toast announcing that the charge has finished, appears to be tricky).

I think that's in fact the conclusion.
I played around a bit with the charger and there's definitely no app starting when you plug it in.
It's been some time since I used Tasker but there should be another way to use the plugin process of the charger as a trigger.

Cheers. I did come across the updated Custom Setting action and so was very easy to make a toggle switch for turning on and off the Pointer Location option in the Developer Option settings. Off-topic, but might be of some interest. Will try the tasker forum.
