This is a general consensus to see the distribution between carriers. To see what percentage of people are on which specific carrier. So vote in the poll and let's see what the outcome is!
edit:
it's not letting me edit the options in the poll. and this poll generally coincides with the subsections in this forum. so if you are on Canadian carriers, choose the American equivalent.
Rogers, Bell, Telus, Sasktel = AT&T
Wind, Mobilicity, Videotron = T-Mobile
AT&T
I'm With AT&T with great LTE speed in NYC.
The 4G Speeds of T-Mobile are great in the Dallas area, but the speeds quickly fall short at the outskirts and suburbs.
VERIZON
holla!
Was feed up with VZW higher than high prices & planed to jump ship since the SGS3 was on other carriers.
but then VZW had the Unlimited Data exception till 6/28 so i figured I'd give emm 2 more yrs.
T-Mobile!!!! Home of the cheap plans and fast HSPA+!!!

You guys should add the Canadian carriers in the poll as this topic/thread has become our home as well:
Same model at ATT: Rogers, Bell, Telus, Sasktel
Same Model as T-mobile: Wind, Mobilicity, Videotron
I'm on AT&T, VZW and T-Mobile. I picked AT&T for the poll because that is where my SGS III is. I may end my T-Mobile account soon, though.
I am on Sprint. just wish they would turn on the 4g in my area.
Made the switch from Sprint to TMo. Loving the change so far.
T-Mobile GSM sounding off!
AT&T, whaddup.

I'm on sprint loving Sprint dead slow 3g. Coming fron T-Mobile to this crap sprint call 3g make me sick but if things don't get better in two months off to Verizon i go. Sprint network is unacceptable i can't believe people had this junk for years i barely can put up with it and i only been with them for three weeks. Tmobile speeds even when throttled is faster than spring 3g . Its unlimited because you can't even use it if you tried . I could blow threw my 10gb on T-Mobile in a month. I cant even use a gig on sprint. It's been a waste of money so far but i hope lte fix this crappy situation soon.

I don't know their bands offhand, but I doubt they are. The are CDMA like Verizon and Sprint. Their coverage is much larger than their service area so they must have some decent roaming agreements. I can't buy the service where I am, but I am covered on their map.

i hope they get it shipped out by the end of october as it states on their site! this phone is gonna be amazing.
I ordered a N4 out of this new batch from Google and should be getting it before long. Currently, I use AT&T, but that's for a non-smart phone. Seems like I'd get more bang for my buck with one of the T-Mobile Value plans than I will with AT&T, where I'd be paying rates equivalent to those with a subsidized phone.
Still, what are the pros and cons of one carrier vs. the other with respect to the N4? Let's forget about phone reception for the purposes of this discussion in that neither of the two would match Verizon where I live (SF Bay Area in the US).
FWIW, I intend to root the device.
Cheaper rates with T-Mobile
Will the N4 support the LTE that T-Mobile is starting to roll out?
The N4 does NOT support the band that AT&T's LTE uses, true?
Comments on the above and any other comments would be greatly appreciated.

Hopefully I can help a bit.
I am on the $30/month plan on T-Mobile, and in that regard, few other carriers in the developed world can match the value. Even at $50 for the pre-paid unlimited plans, it's a comparable value. Their contract plans are close to par with those from other providers, but with more "unlimited" options.
As to the second question, the answer is...sort of. It will probably unofficially work with T-Mobile's LTE in the areas where T-Mobile's LTE is rolled out on the bands that the "dormant" LTE in the Nexus 4 supports. Keep in mind this will be most markets, so it could kind of be a gem waiting for T-Mobile to start flipping the switches. Future software updates to the stock ROM may disable LTE to a greater degree, or they might not.
LTE will work on AT&T if you have a 4G data plan and you're in one of the FEW markets where AT&T operates LTE networks on the bands that the Nexus 4 supports. There are not many, and I don't know which ones there are offhand (though I think Kansas City or Oklahoma City are one of them).
Basically, do not buy the Nexus 4 for LTE support. Consider it a bonus if you get it to work, but have zero expectations for it to do so.
T-Mobile has faster HSPA+ speeds, AT&T has better HSPA+ coverage (and coverage overall). If you stick to cities and big towns, T-Mobile will be just as good as anything else.

Ha, yeah, this is totally the wrong forum.
Thanks for the help, Ajfink.
What's IBTL mean? If it's about the forum being wrong, I posted here because I need to figure out which carrier makes most sense for the N4, which, as you know well, is different than buying a subsidized phone from any of the carriers. When we do that, we know the phone is going to support the bands used by those carriers. This is a different situation and everyone who has the N4 has familiarity with that that I don't.

Hadn't seen that one before. Now I'm even more confused. This isn't a duplicate. I haven't posted this elsewhere.

Not just posted by you. There are several similar threads in general.
Go T-Mobile. Faster hspa+ and cheaper plans. If at&t didn't own my life right now, I'd switch.

Just know that Tmobile has fairly bad to no building penetration in some areas. YMMV. I would suggest you get a prepaid sim and test the waters in your service area before making the switch.
The building my wife works in has terrible penetration for AT&T, but her coworker has T-Mobile and does fine. AT&T and VZW have some pretty high priced plans, though it seems that T-Mobile can be right up there under some circumstances. I'm going to give them a try for a month and see how it goes.
I thought there was a dedicated TMobile One thread here. Now I don't see it and running late today, so--
A sales rep told me a tech said Dayton will turn on LTE in July. Cincinnati will not for now. He said TMobile says to start selling that info here for phone purchases. So, may be pretty accurate. Have known him for awhile. Don't know if that will help anyone like me waiting for much better signal here. I am on fence staying with TMO or going ATT. And don't want to buy phone till I can test the One on TMO LTE where I need the better performance here for business appts. I have other reasons, but not important to this thread.
I know I can get dev edition, but not sure on it's optimization for att as opposed to att one as far as signal reception. I know that can open a bucket of worms for discussion. But, again as OP, not really wanting to get in to that here.
This is basically just FYI--
For what its worth,I've been seeing 3G and H data on my international one X in many parts of dayton,Kettering, beavercreek, moraine,Huber heights, riverside. Working on my att jetstream and inspire as well.
Wonder if they'll have the holes filled in by July when they flip on LTE?
Been debating this phone vs the butterfly, and now that the refarm is creeping in,not sure if I go with t mobile or the dev edition if I go with the one
Thanks for the info

Thanks Scotty,
Yeah, the holes are their biggest problem. Not enough towers. May be same with lte.
They offer could pricing, but not great coverage.
I am still not sure on lte here in July, when you look at how little they have done compared to att this year. Will see--
If you are buying any of the HTC One Developer Edition 32GB or 64GB the only problem that you might run into is with T-Mobile Because they still have 1700Mhz in use in some areas where they dont have 3G or HSPS on 1900Mhz. But as of today they have Re-frame most of there network in almost 48 cities with 1900Mhz so you will be able to use there 3G or HSPS with Downloads of 14MB and Uploads 6MB. As for my case I got the 64GB HTC One Developer Edition and Im now seing the 1900Mhz in some parts of Jacksonville FL. Your phone will also support LTE 1900Mhz on T-Mobile Lte ones they roll it out. So far I love my phone its Bloatware free with lots of Gigs. I hope this help.

I will probably go att, since tmo towers or less in number than att. Since Dayton still doesn't have att lte and they have been very agressive, i am doubting lte for tmo in july. att is set for this summer for sure. I am torn on dev or not. Would like to see someone in Dayton with it, but i will probably decide before either have lte here.
has anyone been able to determine if team mobile turned LTE on in dayton?
ATT did this week.
Call a store and ask most would have att phones here. Att is working great.

Has TMo LTE shown up here yet?
when i was on 4.2.2 i had the LTE mod on my Nexus 4 and got LTE.. only about 15Mbps/
about to get a N5 and see how good it really is with real radios.
wondering what carrier the people who are actually getting a S6 have
sammobile saya verizon will start taking PreOrders April 1. (no price given yet)
why no o2 mclovin lol
I have AT&T and recently received a notification that I'm due for an upgrade. Hope these things drop the first part of April.
AT&T always gets the exclusives when it comes to devices, so I wouldnt be surprised they get an additional color

coverage is pretty good in my area (CT), as for LTE, it's been available for me since last March in my home town and LTE is still expanding.
my problem right now is i have a 1st gen GS4 so i am limited on the LTE bands i can use so my speed slows down a bit during peak hours. but off peak i get 25mbit/s down and 6Mbit/s up. i hope when i get a newer phone which support sprint spark LTE (tri band 800MHz, 1.9GHz and 2.5GHz spectrum) then my slowish LTE speeds will improve. IIRC all phones after the 2nd gen GS4 support LTE tri-band.
going to get the tmobile version, unlock it and use it on cricket (at&T mvno) and solavei (t-Mobile MVNO). The tmobile version will have all of tmobile H+ and LTE bands as well as all of at&T h+ and LTE. also thwe bootloader will likely not be locked. downside is spending the extra money to have it third party unlocked

I have a Note 3 on Sprint for my personal line and a Note 4 for my work line on AT&T. My Note 3 on Sprints network consistently has better signal. I am sure others would have different results but where I live Sprint seems to have the better network. This hasn't always been the case though. Turn the clocks back two years and Sprints network was absolutely horrible but now it's on par and in some areas better than other carriers.
Sadly... Sprint S6 Edge is what I'm getting. Damn Sprint.......
I'm on AT&T, but if this one is locked down too much (no root), I'll spring for an International version.
