This happened to me, friend. Simply allow the phone to remain off for about ten minutes or so (do this by holding power key until phone stops trying to boot). Then power on and doable thermal mitigation.

Bluetooth tools won't shut off

Hi mates,
My bluetooth tools is not shutting off bluetooth mode after 60 seconds of inactivity as it should do. The clock icon starts counting down and stops with maybe 5 seconds left and remains stuck there. Even the auto power off of my pda won't work anymore, and the device stays on untill I manually shut it down.
Strange and frustrating because the software seems brilliant. Any clues are welcome.
Thanks

[Q] Screen switches on and off at regular intervals

Hi,
This morning my S4 started to continually activate the screen for about 5 seconds then deactivate it for 1 second and repeat the cycle continuously. This happens even when I press the power button to shut down the screen or leaving the phone idle and when charging/not charging.
I have switched off all the smart screens, motions and gestures and I have done a hard\factory reset with no change!
Would you have any ideas what's gone wrong or is it likely to be a hardware issue.
Thanks

Sleep timer under Display settings won't stay where I set it.

Settings/Display/Sleep. It's always set on 1 minute, whether I change it or not. I've tried setting it to 5 mins and it goes right back to 1 min. None of my changes will stay. Always 1 min. My tab is not rooted and its up to date.
I cannot find the answer anywhere. Any searches I make on Sleep never give me the correct search. I am at my wits end. It's extremely annoying when reading something and the display closes down. I always have to press the Power button to wake it up.
Please give me some suggestions.
Thanks
Restart in safe mode and test if it works.
(To restart in safe mode push power button until the shutdown dialog appears in screen, then push it but don't release it until safe mode dialog appears)
If it works the problem is caused by a third party app so you need to look for that app and change its configuration of uninstall it (should be an app related with energy or screen management, a screen filter, etc...).

Screen goes off after 10 seconds of inactivity

I have set the display timeout to 1 minute of inactivity, and 30 seconds to lock after sleep, however my phone turns off the display after 10 seconds or so, but definitely less than desirable 1 minute. The "lock" appears to work fine (locks after 30 secs after the screen is off, just as set up). I'd really like to extend the time of inactivity, since 10 secs is not enough. Please advise.

Try changing to 5 minutes instead of 1 minute.

Thanks. I have tried several intervals up to 30 mins, including 5 minutes. No luck. The screen goes dim in about 7+/- seconds then turns off a couple seconds later. I have to constantly touch it to keep it on which is annoying. The power button brings it back on without authorisation if pressed in under 30 secs (lock after sleep).
Exactly the same behaviour when plugged in and charging.
Some people here complain about their phones not going to sleep unless power button is pressed. I am experiencing exactly the opposite problem. My phone goes to sleep sooner than it should.

Try rebooting your phone. If the problem still exists, then i assume that a factory data reset will solve it. Not sure though.

Zenfone max pro m1 Blank Screen

Hello Everyone..
What happened: my phone was suddenly stuck/freezed. I switched it off for a reboot but it never came up again. Now I am stuck with a black screen. The phone was not dropped, not exposed to water.Already triedower button short & power button for 10sec / 20sec ...Volume down & power buttonLeave it for dischargeCharging it over a long time (with original 1+ charger)Connect it to PC (does not recognize the phone)Nothing worked and I cannot access recovery mode. What it still does: it just vibrates occasionally when I press power or volume down & power. However, it stays black, no boot logo/splash screen. Very infrequently (maybe every 10th on/off) there is a short blink of a red warning sign, which i was able to record. It says the "battery is too low, charge for a while before..." even when charged for a long time!
You may have set e light wallpaper backgroud wallpaper that turned the pattern dot into blacks. So basically the dots are there . Draw your pattern by guessing the dots. The device wil be unlocked. Then change the wallpaper.
