Three (3G) network sms problems in Australia

Hi everyone,
Is anyone having problems with the three (3G) sim in australia ?
I am currently unable to send sms and cant access the settings -> personal -> phone -> voice mail and sms settings. Is there a third party program that can fix this issue ? or some sort of a registry hack ?
Also everytime i soft-reset the xda sometimes it tends to be very long before a carrier can be detected (contracted with vodafone). Sometimes its only a matter of seconds but sometimes it can take up to 5 min without signal. Im guessing its jus a roaming issue, but has anyone come up with a way of solving this ?
Any help is appreciated ..
Cheers guys
Just interested, your ID says Optus, you say you have vodafone sim in your XDA II and your also are on a 3G network.
sorry ... maybe i should've been more clear ....
currently I have 2 numbers 1 optus and I got a new Three sim. I use the Three sim in my xda now but since the xda does not support 3G network, instead on being on the Three network, they will put me on the vodafone network as Three have a roaming contract with them. (so disregard the whole optus thing).
Three have their own 3G network in Australia but when out of coverage, they will use the more extensively covered vodafone (GSM) network.
I dont think roaming will cause problems with sms
but anyway ... thats my main problem atm. I can put up with the delayed carrier signal upon reset but the sms is a real pain.
does that make more sense ??

[Q] why do you need mobile provider for wifi calling

maybe i'm missing something but WIFi is everywhere, so why do we need a mobile service provider to make WIFI calls? in many places is free.
why can there be a way to rout your calls through a open or home wifi network to make call?
Uhh, you dont need a service provider for wifi calls. If that were the case, wifi tablets couldnt make wifi calls. You just need to find a wifi calling service that is by someone other than your cellular service provider. Hangouts now has this, skype, google voice, and many others.

Calls done with SIM2 are billed on SIM1

Hi,
a colleague of mine, owning a M1 A1, stock ROM, no root, today discovered that all calls that he did with his second SIM (business, network provider TIM Italy) where billed as well on first SIM (personal). Looking at first SIM calls details on SIM network provider (3 ITA), he found 440 mins of calls from SIM1 to SIM2.
Has anyone experienced this???
Call forward or divert active?

What do you mean? Call divert should be a network provider configuration: you could specify at which number you are available. In that case, in calls should be deviated, not out calls. So, if you're correct, all incoming calls to private number where deviated to business number? We' ll check.
Is there any options in Android settings? I do not remember so...
[EDIT]
THANKS! My colleague remembered that he previously had two phones (private and business) and that private one got broken. So, until he bought the A1, he forwarded incoming calls to business one. But he did not remember to clean up the settings!!! Thanks for hint @.:Addicted:.
