Hi,
The other day I used the USB tethering feature on my Note 3. It was connected to my laptop(Asus U500vz), and it worked perfectly.
But recently I've had problems with it. The computer won't recognize the phone as an internet connection.
Is this a driver problem on my computer, or what else causes this issue?

Hi,
I'm using DCD 3.2.6 and I've tried the standard windows mobile connection and both nue Mass Storage and Cardstick export. Whenever I connect my phone via USB I get constant "Do you want to scan and fix removable device" messages. Then it disconnects and connects intermittently.
Is this a hardware issue with my USB? I Suppose I can live without USB connections, it's just kind of annoying not to be able to use it as a card reader which it previously did very well. (It seems to have started having issues when I went from 3.3.4 to 3.2.6).
I have a problem with my HD2, when I connect it to my PC via USB, it charges, but the computer doesn't recognise it/it doesn't connect.
I have looked through the forums and still couldn't find a solution
Would it be that the usb port is broken? Its starting to really annoy me now, I can't put music onto it or anything. Its running WP7 if thats any use...
I'd like to tether my N7 to my phone over USB (yes, I know I can do it using wifi or bluetooth, but they sap my phone's battery).
Using a USB OTG cable I can get my phone to recognize the connection and switch on tethering over USB (phone is an sgs2 running cm10).
But how do I get the N7 to look for a network connection on USB?
I've tried running the command 'dhcpcd usb1' via termial, but i just get the response 'usb1:interface not found or invalid' (it's rooted btw, and i've tried on modaco jr6 rom, and cm10, getting the same response).
Anyone else tried this and got any further? Do I need a different kernel?
So recently I noticed my PC can't connect to my phone for some reason, it used to work and it still charges it.
The note shows up as SAMSUNG_Android at Devices and Printers and it shows up as SAMSUNG Mobile USB Composite Device and SAMSUNG Mobile MTP Device.
I thought it could be the cable but it still charges my phone, although it looks like that the phone disconnects and reconnects really quickly when I play with it so it could be some connection problem.
I've read that it could be BC 1.1 (fast USB3 charging) but I tried both USB2 and USB3 and it still does this and it did work before.
I've tried removing the drivers and reconnecting it, reinstalling the drivers, disabling antivirus.
If you can help I'd appreciate it!
After installing a new kernel (to use GLTools) the USB started working again, the downside is I can't update the phone through kies (or do anything through kies), if you have a solution to the kies problem post here please.
I want to enable USB tethering on my Samsung Tab S6 Lite Wi-Fi (SM-P610) to create LAN with laptop so I can let SpaceDesk run with better stability. However after enabling USB tethering, Windows shows the LAN card (Samsung Mobile USB Remote NDIS Network device) as "cable not plugged", as opposed to my phone, Google Pixel 3, on which tethering and screen sharing work properly.
Is there any trick to enable proper USB tethering on this tablet?
I'll just reply to this in case anyone comes across it in the future through a search.
I found that Samsung Flow was interfering with being able to use USB tethering, and I had to force stop it to get it to work, I also installed the Samsung USB driver on my laptop but not sure if that made a difference.
However, I found the spacedesk connection worked better on wifi, not sure why, I might have to play around with it a bit.
