It is subjective but I like ES File Explorer. Free and has root options.

It's personal taste but I find ES is the one I use the most, next Solid Explorer and finally Astro File Manager. Try 'em and pick your fave - or have all three!

If you're rooted, you can install G2 tweak box which allows you to set up to 5 shortcuts.

Use ioroot 25. Extremely easy. Then you install xposed. After that you can download g2 tweak box. Remember to enable the module within xposed. Reboot.
Do remember that rooting breaks warranty etc...

To turn FD on/off enter *#9900# in the dialler to get into the SysDump screen then select the Fast Dormancy option
