Hey guys just curious, would my N9005 support a 64GB SDXC card?
Looking to buy this one here:
http://www.amazon.co.uk/SanDisk-SDS...380922272&sr=8-1&keywords=64+gb+micro+sd+card
I asked the same question and people mentioned getting the Samsung version instead. There were a number of articles citing data corruption between the Sandisk Ultra and Galaxy series phones. The Extreme one should be fine, but I didn't really want to spend that much nor need that extra speed,.....yet.
This is a link to the one that I ended up buying
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820147220
I have used both in the Note2 and have the SanDisk 64 GB version in my Note3.

I think I'm gonna go with the SanDisk one, I know that they're known for the cards that they make and I've got SanDisk USB pen drives and not once have they failed me.
Thanks for verifying this for me guys, means a lot!
:good:
I'm using the SanDisk 64 GB class 10 .. I got Note 3 and it works fine

Ditto, working OK.
But my next SD card won't be SanDisk for sure!

I have had better luck with Samsung's memory cards on my Samsung phones than I have with SanDisk memory cards. Not sure why it just happens that way.

I currently have installed a 1GB card and I want to know how much capacity wizard (wm6.1) can handle?
can anyone tell me ?
I believe that this is 2Gb, people appear to have problems with anything larger.
non-SDHC 4Gb
Been using a 4Gb normal mini SD(up to full capacity at some times) for 2 weeks now, so far no issues(no additional driver installed) I also have a 4Gb SDHC but never got that to work, and now it doesn't really matter now..
keeping fingers crossed...

thats interesting, and your running WM 6.1? I'd be interested to go get one now and test this out on mine as well, I've been swapping 2GB cards for some time now!
Thanks
Actually, a 4GB SD card should even work with WM5. The problem is that it's rather hard to find 4GB standard SD cards - most cards of this size are SDHC, and they won't work with wizard due to hardware incompatibility.

Correct-o-mundo.
Took me half a year to find the 4Gb non SDHC card, long after I have given up. Yup I am running WM6.1 TNT, Its right's latest ROM.... it's keeping my Wizard alive...
so i bought this class 10 micro sd BEAST a couple months back and the rom i was on would just freeze when i popped it in. so i gave up and had this $100 tiny chip lying around.
well I decided to try it again tonight. guess what? IT WORKS! and I mean really works... this thing is so fast... if you have a 100 bucks lying around, get ittttt. a2sd is amazing
I see the SanDisk 16GB class 10 cards are claiming 30MB/s and selling for just under a Benjamin. http://www.amazon.com/SanDisk-16GB-...1_fkmr2_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1271059962&sr=8-2-fkmr2

Where did you purchase it from?
Edit NVM found some!
Man, I just finally did the apps2sd thing with a class 6 and hardly noticed a speed difference.. This thing is tempting......!!
Isn't class 6 the fastest the Hero supports?
The class of an SD card doesn't tell you how fast an SD card is - it just guarantees a minimum level of performance. You can find class 2 cards that perform better than the class 10 minimum if you shop around (example here).
See here for more details.
The point is, don't get too het up just because you can put a class 10 card in your device, because it may well be that a much cheaper and lower class card can perform just as well.

Hello guys, just bought a Samsung Galaxy S4 i9500 from a technology store in Cyprus
I have a problem with the SD Card Socket, it doesn't click when i insert the sdcard and i have to drag it out to take it out, it won't click out either.
Using an 32GB Class 10 Verbatim MicroSDHC.
I've used the application SD Tools several times and when i "Start Speed Tests" the application freezes and i can't use the sd card in any other application, I don't know if any other guy has this issue.
Please tell me anything if u know how to fix this.
It seems your socket is broken. You have some options which are to take it back to the store for replacement or repair, or buy the part yourself and change it. It's a very easy fix.
Costs about $5 on eBay.

thank you very much, the strange part is that i used a SanDisk 16GB Class 4 microSDHC card and it clicked perfectly, it even clicks-out too, and it works perfectly, i don't know what to think, i've put the two microsd cards next to each other and they have the same exact size, i don't know what is wrong ;/
I just went and looked at my files on Sd card, some appear to be corrupted...
The important ones like downloads, music, pics.... The file names start with a funky u... Any way to get these back?
See pic...

Yeah. They are corrupted. Photo rec works to get most of the files back.
For the future - If it is a Sandisk card just get a Samsung one instead. The sandisk ones have a bump on the back that causes problems.

That bump on the back is only on 64gb sd cards. Its so they can fit all that space in one little card.

Hey Everyone!
Today I flashed SHOstock via SafeStrap v3.71 (MK2). I had a lot of internal storage. However, after flashing the ROM to rom-slot-1, I get a persistent message on the notification panel stating that "storage space is running low".
Storage apps in the app store say that I have 8.1 GB of internal storage, but the phone's storage settings states that I only have 145 MB of available space.
14.44 GB is being devoted to system memory which seems like an incredibly high amount.
Could someone explain what is going on and how I could rectify this issue?
Thank you in advance!
16gb phones have around 9.5 useable and 32gb phones have 22gb or so. Nothing we can do.

I understand that, however I have more free space than the rom in safestrap is showing. That is the problem.
When I open storage with the slot1 rom, this is what I see:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
However, this is how much space I should have:
Don't you adjust the size of it when you create a rom slot? Whatever the slot size that you create will depend on what your free space will be. That is my understanding anyway.
