Kies synced with windows 7
Anyone had success with this?
Nope. No suck luck
I had the issue yesterday. If you change the USB setting on the phone to select on connect it should work a lot better.
These are the drivers that i found, kies works perfect now.

Thanks for those, I will try them when I get my phone on monday (if Kies doesn't work with Windows 7 32 bit)
but what is the point of Kies though? lol to update firmware?? because on my HTC Magic Android I only use the mass storage for everything.

Honestly its kinda useless. It only has a video converter app built in for the galaxy s. But you dont even have to have the phone connected to use it

btw im on win7 64bit and confirm it works.

Galaxy S MTP detection issue resolved!
got it working finally after toying with the application and the phone itself..
honestly, i did all the suggestions here including BuddyLee's suggestion but nothing worked including all my research from other forums.. what a waste of my time.
anyways, I finally got it working by doing "Format" for the internal memory.. unmount then format.. and yes, reset to "Factory Default".
after the phone restarted, I connected it to my Windows 7 Ultimate x64bit computer and success.. device manager finally shows GT-I9000, Kies shows it as GT-I9000 and My Computer as well.
Hope this helps anyone out there with the same issue where countless uninstall/reinstall, device manager troubleshooting, Kies Driver Recovery and Reset Phone to Factory Defaults didn't work at all.

For me it was enough to unmount/mount internal memory. And after plugging USB it immediately was detected by Kies

So reboot your phone then try again...

Hello everyone...I have a TMOUS HD2 and i noticed a problem resently...every timeIi connect my device to my laptop via HSPL 2.08 and try to flash any customRUU or task29 or anything that requires HSPL, my laptop won't find the device...my phone shows connection (serial changes to USB when I insert the cable) but laptop won't find it...any other usb function works properly (charging, mass storage e.t.c) Also it worked fine a couple of weeks ago...nothing changed on my laptop since then...When I go to device manager shows my phone and says that drivers are fine...Am I doing anything wrong? I really apretiate any help since I love my HD2 and don't want to mess it up! (also no money for new device )
try a different usb port. each port loads the drivers individually, so sometimes a port can get corrupted, but the one right next door works fine. I find this sometimes happens when i'm waking the device just at the moment the pc is detecting the usb plugged in.
Also, you know task29 is rarely needed, right? if you;re just using android roms, theres only very rarely an occasion where you need to use bootloader. (I ask because i know there are people that still follow the full proceewdure of hspl, task29, magldr, partition, flash, without realising theres no need)

Trying a different usb port was the first thing i tried! no port will work.! Yes i do know that task29(i probably done it just once or two times since i got the device) is not needed but i thought it would be a breath of fresh air for hd2 with all the trouble we put it through!
thank you for replying!

Sorry for the late reply.
By "install activesync" I didn't mean the drivers, I meant the software itself.
Google "ActiveSync" and install if you have windows XP or earlier.
Google "Windows Mobile Device Centre" and install if you have windows Vista or later.

If you understood, you should have made a proper feedback.
Telling "I tried it, nothing works" is not helping. You need to tell us what happened when you installed the activesync. Instead of "nothing works", say: I installed activesync and I plugged in my phone, but the phone is still not recognized.
Is this what happened?

I had this thought when I helped another guy. You may have defected your cable by mistake, try another cable and report back properly .

So you have tried this on 2 pc's correct, you have keis loaded on both? Are you sure usb debugging is enabled in the dev section?
Are we guessing what phone you have here? Is it a iPuke S4?

I had the same issue as you op, and unfortunately I don't have a good solution. The only thing that fixed it for me was flashing a different rom. I was on Jedi and it wouldn't let me connect to PC (at first, it worked fine but a day later it stopped).
Flashing another rom (mint) fixed it for me.

Not sure if serious. Jk, thanks. But I still think I could have figured out a better solution than completely ditching a rom.
I tried everything listed, from updating drivers to trying to mount the phone through twrp. Nothing worked, even re-flashing the rom, so that gave me the idea to try another.

Did not mean it that way, first troubleshooting step should be, are you having the same issue on another rom, if 2 roms have the issue, it is a more serious problem, but as you tried, it is a issue with that rom, so that person can find answers in that rom thread.
calmness sir, it was all in good meaning.

OK, I337 rooted, unlocked, Goldeneye 7/10 ROM, 3.4.0-917495 kernel, USB debug enabled, running Net10/TMo, via *#0808# set to RNDIS+DM+MODEM, and AWS enabled via *#0011# OP process (I'm now getting 14.3M downloads off H+). wifi-Kies is Titanium frozen, as is restored crapware std email client. I had this problem once before when I left USB setting at RNDIC+DM+MODEM without completing the QPST process, but all was well after I did it right. Only other change I'm aware of is that I installed the Samsung USB drivers for the S3 so I could do the same AWS fix for the wife's i747. Anyway, the Samsung don't show in device manager now, even after reinstall the S4 drivers. Get a phone beep on plugging in, that's it. I plug her S3 in, get beep, screen says connecting as media device, windows 7 says installing drivers, via windows update, and eventually gets it done, saying "USB composite, sgh-i747, CDC/ACM, and ADB interface" (as shown), much as with S4 when it's usb driver install is successful. A puzzlement for a noob, for sure; clearly it's inside the S4, as when I try usb connect into an XP 'puter, while I get the phone beep, there's no usb recognition by the XP either.
Can ROM somehow cause problems with USB recognising of my SGS4 I9505 ?
Charging is fine, but can't be recognized by PC.
Shall i try this damaged SGS4 with other ROMs flashing with custom recovery and SD card, or it can only be hardware problem, so no need to try other ROMS ?
My question is simple and i need simple answer (like yes or no). I won't explain how many threads i've checked- simply i'll tell what i've tried.
1. Dozens of cables
2. Few different laptops with different OS
3. A lot USB ports
4. Cleaning phone USB port
5. Replacing with another 2 USB boards from other SGS4
6. Hard phone cache and factory reset
7. Delete all drivers, reinstall em, also KIES, Error code i receive in device manager is 43. Tried to force Samsung drivers for this device, it accept them, but gives error code 10 - device can not start.
Phone can't be recognized in all modes. Last time it was connecting properly was when i flashed last ROM with Odin. It is STOCK rom. - I9505XXUHOB7_I9505YBTHOB7_DBT-Stock ROM Galaxy s4 and it has received several updates OTA from Samsung.
I have 2 more SGS4 which connects and works fine with all cables. They have never been flashed or rooted.
Shall i try this damaged SGS4 with other ROMs flashing with custom recovery and SD card, or it can only be hardware problem, so no need to try other ROMS ?
THANKS a lot in advance !!!

So should i bang my head and search for flashing without custom recovery, root and USB connectivity !? Is there any chances to flash that way another rom, an will it fix usb connectivity ?
If ROM has NOTHING to do with usb connectivity- then i'll just leave it that way! It is simple ! But no simple answer yet

You can flash vendor, boot, and system images using TWRP then root again. However, bootloader and radio must be flashed either as a zip in TWRP or via fastboot. Bootloader and radio images cannot be flashed via the TWRP "image install." It is recommended that you flashed radio and bootloader through fastboot.

You see the problem is the I am not an administrator on any of the available PC's .. but it seems to be something wrong with the phone. Because when I connect it it does not happen anything. The only issue is that I can't transfer files from the phone to the computer, not even not, like mtp.. do you understand?

If it's stock you like could always flash SuperXe . 8.1 versions are latest stock and 8.0 is built from stock source with latest security. All of which are flashable via twrp. On a side note pick yourself up cheap otg cable so you can backup your files on thumb drive. Makes it real easy if you have to completely wipe your phone. Especially if you don't have much access or having issues with computer.

I really couldn't tell you don't remember having to really install any drivers . I installed nexus toolkit though maybe that did. Check device manager if your using Windows and see if anything is coming up. I think I remember someone having to roll back driver to get his 6p to work on Windows 10. Then the obvious trying different cable and USB ports. Try putting USB debugging on in developer options. That's all I can think of sorry not much help .
