I know that this question has been asked before. But i think it's important that we solve it.
Does the Note 3 have AP binning or not? If it does which specific model got that, and if not, will the future Note 3 have it?
What on earth is AP binning?

There is a Snapdragon 800 8974 with a gpu MHZ of 450. And there is one with 550mhz. The 8974AB.

am wondering if there is a difference between both version i watched some reviews of both devices and dun know if there is a noticeable difference
so dear users what do you think
and i have a question about bench mark tests
results are exactly the same but there is something important i wanna know
does the n9000 use 8 cores or 4 cores in test ?
because of it uses 8 cores in test and normal use of course uses 4 then samsung is cheating us . i know many ppl know but its first time for me to use octa core handset and wanted to know the difference
N9000 is 4 core and n9005 has 4 cores as well
But n9005 is fastest in benchmark and graphics...n9000 is very less dev support..go for n9005

I have N9005. Is it possible to underclock its CPU and reduce its battery consumption?
I don't play games with it, therefore don't need the full potential.

it's possible by root
but.. the current setting of ondemand is quite good, and the most freq used is 1.3ghz.. so.. sysfs of ondemand governor are good
for others
exynos is ALWAYS the best since it always have 4 working logical cores witch kernel could use everytime.. so.. no hotplug lag as n9005 has with mpdecision script (qualcomm's script witch chose when turn on other cores.. and it's too slow)
Is there a performance difference between the Snapdragon 800 and Samsung Exynos 5 Octa (1.9 GHz quad-core ARM Cortex-A15 + 1.3 GHz quad-core ARM Cortex-A7) Core variants in terms of UI fluency thanks in advance.
I have had bad experience with Exynos as they become so slow after time. I will never buy one again.

I think no difference, or it is very slight. I saw no lags during my daily usage.

Many people here says that snapdragon is a much better option. I agree with them.

Snapdragon is LTE .. Exynos is not.. That's one difference.. The rest may be the same...

LTE and 4K video on Snapdragon, not on Exynos. Snapdragon has little better GPU, Exynos could be tiny bit little faster on CPU side in some tests, but not others . If anybody has any issues with UI speed it is most likely not hardware issue, but software.

well - i think UI is more part of the gpu, so the gpu has to be potent.
If i ware you, ot, i would buy the SD Device. Reason? LTE and a higher cpu clock (I'm testing the wonderchild kernel - 3ghz, fast as hell
Also, there are more kernels for the SD device, as the exynos version is not so popular in many countries...

thaks for your answer I ask the same question to the Samsung US Chat agent and he said Octacore variant is better in overall performance. What do you think I also closer to the Snapdragon version but I am not in US and due to that reason is there a region lock and it should be unlocked by the service provider. I could not decide.
The only reason I chose the Qcomm over the Exynos is because the former has LTE capability.

are you serious about that??
me too would personally prefer the snapdragon over the exynos, but your statement is crap!
if something gets slow over time it's the OS or the nand (4.3 supports the trim command, so this
should not be an issue anymore). like a pc with windows, after some time it gets full of garbage
and this has some impact on performance, not the used processor type!

I think it's simple.
Does you provider support LTE? ==> GET A QCOMM
It doesn't? ==> GET AN EXYNOS
I hope i could help you
Your post is crap.
How is it is when I factory reset or flash new room? Sånne sit happened to note 1 and 10.1. No more crapy exynos.

SD800 = 4G LTE & 4k video rec.
Exynos 5 = no 4G LTE & 4k video rec.

I would like to ask about the region lock of Note 3, if for example I buy a Note 3 (n9005-snapdragon 800) from Bestbuy and I want to use it in different country which does not support lte can I use it or what should I do to use it thank you in advance
I am trying to download something that has high graphics but probably you've a lot of different kinds.
Mali, Tegra, adreno and powervr. What is the difference between these and what does the note 3 support?
Can someone explain this?
NOTE 3 - Tapatalk
What I'm trying to download is a apk for the record
NOTE 3 - Tapatalk
It depends which model of Galaxy Note 3 you got. Could be Exynos one running Mali-T628 or Snapdragon one running Adreno 330. Or you got a fake/clone Note 3, which has MediaTek chipset with..PowerVR I think.
I'm on the snapdragon 800 I assume I'm on adreno then?

Just got my note 3 - SM-N900. And I've turned panicky.
Reasons:-
1) please refer to the attached picture - it shows octacore processor in the list. But there are only 4 cores shown below!!! What is this supposed to mean? Does my phone have 8 cores or just 4 cores?
2) my phone has extreme overheating issues. Is hardly 5 hours out of the box. I'm sure it's abnormal. Is there a fix?
Please help! Many thanks!

Try another application
this is Antutu - the best application for benchmarking and phone info. But is this normal? I don't know if it is! The N-900 is the Indian version of the phone. How come it's not showing 8 cores!? Or have I been cheated? I mean... has the seller done something to my phone's CPU before selling it? Phew!! I'm tired-,-

Hi
Yes This is normal
Don't worry about it
That's perfectly normal. It's because the Exynos Octa consists of two Quad-Cores.
A Quad-Core 1.9 GHz Cortex-A15, and a Quad-Core 1.3 GHz Cortex-A7
This throws off all phone info apps, because they can only detect one CPU at a time.
n900 have 8 cores but only 4 of them are active any given time. For more info refer to this. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ARM_big.LITTLE
Hai to all,
N910G [Indian Version - note 4] has snapdragon where as N9000 [Indian version - note 3] has exynos octa core A15 [1.9ghz] & A7 [1.3ghz]
Now, i've some doubts, hope experts as well as owners of devices here will clear...
1. Note 4 exynos has 64 bit processors, will it be good for future while compared to Snapdragons one???
2. Note 3 Indian version has exynos octa, namely its octa but at a time only 4 cores will active so seems be quad core performance i think...
while in exynos note 4, all cores are active at a time. So, in update wil all cores of note 3 will run at a time??
3. About gpu, Adreno is good or Mali in note 4 variants according to graphics as well as temperature ??
4. i've seen exynos are 20nm & snapdragons are 28nm in note 4, is dis differtiate note 4 variants too much???
5. In India, note 3 [exynos] costs 400$ & note 4 [snapdragon] costs 570$... which will u prefer me to buy [based on exynos & snapdragon & some what price ]???
6. This is not related to Note Devices,
Is high sar value device is good or low value sar device???
lenovo k3 note has 1.6sar at head while note 4 has only 0.3 at head, so which is good for use??
Thanks a lot....
In a big confusion , help me experts and owners..... Thanks again.....
1.Indian variant Note 4 is not 64 bit.It's 32 bit
2.No they'll not enable hmp in the update as Note 3 is a old device
3.Mali has better games compatibility whereas adreno has more fps as per benchmarks.I haven't used exynos Note 4.Yes exynos variants are cooler than sd one
4.Didn't get you
5.Note 4 as its a newer device with android updates, better camera, screen.Although smoothness wise Note 3 is ahead
6.No knowledge about that

Thanks for ur response Rishi....
I know Indian Variant is not 64 bit,
Still samsung didn't publish exynos variants are 64bit capable...
What am asking is is exynos variants are surely 64bit???
If i bought exynos variant from KSA,
may i hav warrenty in India???
Yes samsung chip is 64 bit but they haven't enabled it & you won't get any warranty in India coz chipset is different. You might not be able to get it repaired from samsung even if you want to pay
