I have seen the various roots for the US branded handsets, any eta on the international (UK) root?

Should work on all LG G2s. I have the international version w/o branding and it worked for me.
Ppl with branded (vodafone germany) G2s also used that successfully.
I concur, i have an int g2 and rooted it using the method posted above

Hi guys,
I have he international version of the LG G2 as well. D802. I am from India. Unfortunately LG has disabled the LTE radio in my region (I am sure the LTE radio hardware is definitely present on the phone cos it on the Snapdragon 800 SOC). I wanted to know if I can get it enabled with the help of Rooting & Installing a custom ROM OR by installing the International ROM from some other region.
cheers for the help, will try it out
Let us know how this works!
@ant78, Hey buddy, I am assuming you have the D802. Could you try flashing TWRP for your phone and report back to me please?

Hi Guys,
I'm new in XDA and this G2 is my first Android phone.
Build:JDQ39B
Sw: D80210a-222-10
By the way I'm trying to root my G2 with the IORoot method, and probably for my carrier Vodafone, it responce that:
no matching phone found. Got VDF from adb.
Now, I know that I can edit root.bat, adding a line for my carrier like:
if %RESULT%==VDF GOTO ATTTMORoot
but, I want to know if someone tryed it before!
I'm waiting just your responce to proceed. Thanks!

Welcome to XDA!
You should be able to root your D802 regardless of carrier (unless in the US) by selecting the International version option. I rooted my D802 that was locked to O2 UK, by selecting the International version option. Good luck and report back!

Thanks. I hoped on over to the guys in the IRC and asked them the same. And what you are saying is correct. Though it seems that superuser from DD does not give you the superuser request and you can't track them inside the app. This was confirmed by one other user over there. Instead I now use SuperSU by Chainfire (GooglePlay) which handles the requests correctly.
Cheers

Hey guys,
I was wondering, is there any type of root and/or rom for the Claro Puerto Rico variant of the LG G2?
The model is the same as the T-Mobile one, D801. It also has LTE.
Could any of you tell me if the t-mobile root would work, and if so, would a T-Mo rom work too?
Here is some of the Hardware and Software information from the phone:
Hardware Information:
Model Number: LG D801
Memory: 32GB
Software Information
Android Version: 4.2.2
Build Number: JDQ39B
Kernel Version: 3.4.0

I'm also curious about this, given as this phone identifies itself as a D801. It would be grand if a T Mobile rom could be installed, given that I could certainly benefit from wifi calling.
Speaking of which, if I wanted to install a custom recovery such as TWRP, I wonder what version I would need to use, the Roger/Wind version (these phones are usually Canadian) or the T Mobile one (as the phone identifies itself as a D801...

Just got to this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2448887
download the root files, and follow these instructions. You will be rooted in no time.
so, here are the steps to get root on a Wind Mobile G2.
1) Open root.bat in notepad
2) Do Crtl+F and look for ":ATTTMORoot" without the quotes but include the semi colon
3) a few lines underneath that line where you found ":ATTTTMORoot" you'll see a line which looks like this:
.\adb.exe push g2_security /sdcard/g2_security
4) replace that line with this:
.\adb.exe push ytiruces_1a_d803 /sdcard/ytiruces_1a
5) Save file and close notepad
6) Double click root.bat and follow the instructions as usual.
Then go to playstore and download supersu, done.
For recovery you can download Flashify from playstore and use that to flash the Rogers TWRP wich is the one that works. As for roms, d803 roms are the ones that work, any other variant will have to have a kernel change for it to work. Any more questions feel free to ask

Any idea where can I find the stock rom for this phone? I've searched high and low and came up back with nothing. The closest I got was flashing a Wind mobile stock rom, but since Wind mobile doesn't have LTE, the LTE icon is nowhere to be found (I DO get LTE, but the icon stays at 4G).

Got it already from the previous link you posted, thanks for these anyways! The only reason I want the stock rom is to see if the LTE icon sticks from the stock rom after flashing Clean ROM on top of it; did this on top of the Wind variant rom, and the LTE icon is nowhere to be found (even though I get LTE). Now, if there was a way where I could swap the 4G icon for a LTE one, that would be gravy; unfortunately, the only guides I Seem to find are for deodexed roms :/

I got my G2 from Claro a couple days ago and managed to root it by combining the manual root method by autoprime HERE with the advice @prking07 gave on POST #6
I followed these steps:
1. Download IORoot15 from HERE
2. Extract it to a new folder in your desktop.
3. Open command prompt (cmd) in that same folder. You can do this by typing "CHDIR C:\Users\'Username'\Desktop\'FolderName'" in cmd. **Do not type quotations in the cmd
4. Then on your phone enable developer options and USB Debugging. If you don't know how, watch THIS video.
5. Connect your phone and make sure its drivers are installed. then check if the phone is online by typing "adb devices" in cmd. It shoud show the device's ID.
6. Then follow the commands in the autoprime's manual method that I linked above and on step #2 type "adb push ytiruces_1a_d803 /sdcard/ytiruces_1a"
7. Unplug usb, go to developer options and disable USB debugging. Now disable (OFF) Developer Options. Turn On Developer Options. Enable USB Debugging. Once you've done that, re-plug your usb... IF YOU DO NOT TURN OFF THEN BACK ON DEVELOPER OPTIONS IT WILL NOT WORK!!
8. Finally follow steps 3-8 from the manual method and your phone should be rooted.
Here are some screenshot on how the command prompt looked like and the confirmation that it's rooted. These are basically the steps you have to follow once you open command prompt from the folder.

hi ,
ok .i do not have the exynos variant ,but N910f Snapdragon .I have Lollipop ..BOC5 running on device .
However i do not think above issue , would make much of a diffs ,as its "software related issue" ?
Check my screenshot for difference to yours ( all my devices ,no matter what Rom i was using eg German ,UK etc always reflects the same .)
Maybe look a bit wider eg ..Carrier software ..etc
But i find it very strange you have no other network options ?
good luck

910K is a Koreean version. It seems that the software is how to put it...branded, and the gsm/edge options are not available, as the carrier that sels the variant of phone does not use those frequencies... I can't figure out any other explanation. Maybe flashing a different variant of lollipop would help, but I am not shure if the LP variant from the international version of 910C is compattible with 910K. I will do a search if my time allows it and get back to you. Cheers!

Hi, was unable to do the mentioned steps yesterday. Would try today for sure. Will pm you once done.
I can assist you to Reflash the device to the stock international variant, not sure if it will kill the unlock or not, but would assume it won't

Hi,
Didn't get you. What you mean?
Good afternoon all,
I have had my Note 3 SM-N900 for a while and have just changed my sim for a 4G version, but I have no option for LTE option in Network Mode, so I am on H or H+
The phone was running Android version 4.1, so I decided to upgrade to the lollipop edition from here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-note-3/general/official-lollipop-arrived-t3015128
Having looked around the net for quite a few hours, I noticed a file needs changing, which is: persist.radio.lteon.xml
With the help from the Xda forums I managed to root my device via the cf auto guide, I have checked the root and it is currently working, I have tried to find the file in:
Data/Properties/persist.radio.lteon.xml
The only file in there is persist.radio.lteon with out the .xml, I have opened the file and the text in there says true
When I go back into the Network modes, only these are shown:
WCDMA/GSM
WCDMA
GSM
Can anyone please help on this matter as I am not sure what else I can try, many thanks to who all helps.
Do I need to reflash to another version?
Many Thanks to all
Phone Details:
Model SM-N900
Android v5
Basband N900XXUEBNL6
Kernel 3.4.39-5764310
Build LRX21v.n900xxuebok2

Are u kidding? N900 is a 3G device. Not a 4G device. U won't get any 4G forever.
I apologise, I was told this phone was 4G when purchased last year.
Many Thanks
SM N900 was not able to get 4G connection bro. Even if using custom rom that have 4G option. The hardware was not supported.
Now I'm using aurora custom rom that have the 4G option, but I believe that my device won't be able to use 4G connection

Unlocking the LG G5 Sprint model!
First and foremost thank @vittger over in this thread where the method was posted - HERE
Reason I am making this Guide/post is it seems like even though its been posted, theres not a thread for it and some miss the actual method of doing it.
I haven't tested or seen it tested on any OS below Android 7.0 so it may not work unless you've updated.
1. Download this APK - HERE
2.Install the APK
3 Open the App
4. Scroll down & Select IOT(CDG2)
5.Select LTE setting,Select Operation Mode, Then Select Lab Network
6. Device will reboot, Then go back to step 3,4, and 5, and the option Band25 make sure its enabled. scroll down to LTE Data roam config, and enable all the bands towards the bottom in that menu as well.
7. Go back to the Hidden menu APK main menu, ModemProtocol, RAT Selection, then choose GSM/WCDMA/LTE Auto
8. Reboot and you should be good to go!
9. You now have you Sprint LG G5 LS992 GSM unlocked for both US and international GSM carriers
To Add your APN (for data):
Go to, The hidden menu APK, IOT(CDG2), LTE Settings,
APN settings and then add your APN for your carrier
Remember you'll need to set APN type to "default" and
authentication type to "None" or else it wont work
Tested and working with AT&T 3G/HSPA,4G/LTE And T-Mobile 2G/4G/LTE working perfectly fine in the USA. Also tested with a GiffGaff UK sim roaming in the US.
This method also works with the LG V20 and LG Tribute HD so it may work on other LG devices.
Having an issue with it stop working?
Disable your screen lock. No password/swipe to unlock/fingerprints - Having a password seems to be an issue with this method.
Here's a quick YouTube video I made,

This method works entirely on stock. Been running a TracFone GSM BYOP SIM card for the past month with use of the APK above.
Is this the same as the remote unlock? Thank you

How do we return to sprint? Can you put that in the instructions too?

Just dial ##RTN and enter your SPC code, which will reset your device. If you need your SPC code Give Sprint your IMEI and they can provide it.
Thanks,
RTN would do a reset of all sw or just the provisioning/network/sim setup?

Will this work on a Boost LG Stylo 2? I have tried and it is not unlocked and I cannot find "scroll down to LTE Data roam config, and enable all the bands towards the bottom in that menu as well. " this part in the app.
FYI it has Android 7.0 on it.
Thanks

Its not supposed too so I wouldn't think in would. But it probably doesn't hurt to try at least. But it's doubtful.

This has never happened to me. Only way I can see it happening is unless your phone had an update, or something Sprint wise is doing something. Did you do a FULL reset before doing so? As in ##RTN#? Where it wipes all the Sprint carrier config etc?
