Not had that problem. Try a complete powerdown/restart. Sorry I can't be more helpful.

I know cyanogen mod adds reboot to the power button but im not sure how you can add it to other roms. Sorry
I have been using an app called Quick Boot by Sirius Applications Ltd it is free in the market. It lets you do a reboot, boot into Recovery and Boot into Bootoader just by launching the app. small and simple.
yea i know about quick boo i have it too but just thot it was more convenient to already have it on the power button...
also i had other stuff like turning on hotspot and other options i cant remember...
Wow, i installed it, awesome...right?
Kinda, except the home button is glitchy, i click it and the current app im on will disappear and reappear, so i click it again and the same happens so im stuck in the app. The only way is to reset the phone.
Please help.
Thanks

Why dont you click the back button?
Btw, this thread is for "Development".
I guess
Sorry for wrong place to post but still, even if i press the back button, that will sometime's take me to some random app i opened half an hour ago and then wont go back any further and then the home button will still do the same thing.
Dont press and hold just press and release
Since I rooted and installed TWRP and flashed the custom kernel that is required to continue using the stock ROM after installing TWRP, anytime I hold certain things (items on home screen in Nova), swipe up from the Navbar to bring up the ring, or tap the little gear in the sound popup (to show all the sound options instead of just ringer), my phone freezes completely for 2-4 seconds. It's especially bad with Swiftkey, which freezes after each button press. I don't actually use Swiftkey, I just wanted to see if it had changed since I last used it and it seems to have gotten worse. Holding or tapping anything in the AOSP and LG keyboards is fine, though. Bringing up recents by holding the home button works as usual without freezing.
Anyone know why this is happening or know of a fix?

EDIT: Only AOSP keyboard works, LG freezes after every press, just like Swiftkey.
EDIT: Discovered that disabling the "LG System Server 1.0" app was the issue.
I have the same problem on the D802

Pretty sure I found the problem. You probably, likely myself, just froze/disabled all the LG and AT&T bloatware. That was what did it. Unfreeze/enable "LG System Server 1.0" and everything will work normally.

Start an app then press home button to put it into background.
Now click the app icon again, the app is restarted instead of resumed.
I googled a little bit, it does seem a bug of Samsung's TouchWiz, but i cant find a fix.
Anyone know how to solve it?
OK I did a quick search and it's possible I missed it, but I'm having an issue that's really irritating. Some of my applications, XDA premium for example, I have to press the home button a second time to return home. At first I thought it was me going crazy. I tend to always hit home before hitting power to off the screen. When I'd pull my phone out of my pocket, it would still be in an app when I knew I should have been at my home screen.
I've tested it and I can reproduce it every singalong time. Is this working as intended, maybe a setting I've missed? Is it a TouchWiz issue on 6.0? I'm coming from a note 5 and I've owned every Samsung device so it's either a bug or an annoying feature of the newest software.

Well I created this post now it won't do it at all! Another XDA fix!
Meant to edit not reply to myself!
You should try and reset your phone...
Sounds like some sort of bug. I can't replicate the issue.
I know there are some apps where you have to press the "back" button twice to exit but I've never had to press the "home" button twice.
Ok, so this is a post simply meant to help anyone else who may discover this problem. If you are having the issue, you most likely have the Samsung Good Lock installed. UPDATE IT! Apparently, it was an issue within the app that cause the Home Button bug within the Recent Apps menu and/or any app you returned to via the menu.
I only wish i had paid attention and updated the app before doing a restore. Thats when i noticed that the "home button bug" was fixed in a recent update. O well, you live and you learn.
