I recently installed the Google Play 4.2.2 ROM and when I get a new message, any apps running with force close and the message "Unfortunately, messaging has stopped working"
Is this a common problem? Is there any way to fix it?
Version: 4.2.2

I have safestrap installed on my i337 on MF3, I currently run the GPE 4.2.2 ROM on ROM-Slot 1; I have encountered some apps force closing with the exact same error, but non of which were the messaging app. Some were user installed apps and non to be stock apps such as Messaging. I reformatted and clear the delvik cache and reinstalled the GPE Rom 4.2.2 on the same slot and seems to be fine now, only one app force closed so far and that's because of a mistake I made.

I've flashed the new 4.3 rom and the new radio .83 and bootloader. Everything seems to work great other than mx player which I know is currently not yet compatible. The issue I am having is Google hangouts it keep force closing. The only success I've had is restoring app and data using titanium backup and even that is only temporary. I have wiped data I've also uninstalled hangouts and reinstalled it using the playstore but no success, any ideas?

4.3 is currently a leak. So don't expect every app to work. And we do not know that the current hangouts supports 4.3.
I'm sure we are probably atleast a month away from anything official.

I just installed the CM10.2 LTE 4.3 Rom from negroplasty with the .27hybrid modem and its working great except for Instagram, it keeps crashing even after uninstalling/reinstalling. I did a complete system wipe when I installed the rom. Any help? Thanks.
It works fine with me on stock 4.3, consider asking for help in the thread about your choice of ROM

Hey guys I'm new here with my LG G2 (D801 T-Mobile) and was trying to flash the Buckeye V2 rom onto my phone. I'm using TWRP 2.6.3.2 to install the rom. Yes I've rooted it and installed the recovery, backed up the stock root, and wiped before installation. For some reason after I install and system reboot, the phone starts with LG software still (albeit there's a google launch screen after an initial "LG" shows up). The build number in my system settings read Buckeye V2, but obviously I'm not running Kit Kat like I'm supposed to be (android version still 4.2.2). Anyone know how to fix this or am I doing something wrong still?
Bump
I may be wrong here since the description is not very clear but the ROM is a kitkat themed stock Rom but not an actual android 4.4 Rom.

Keep in mind that it might be ME that's wrong about all this. I'm new like I said.

I downloaded that in the link above. Is it not a rom? :l

I totally just got what you said and I'm facepalming myself. It's a themed rom to look like 4.4 but not an actual rom for 4.4? Got it. Even if that were the case, something went wrong since the interface is exactly the same as before I flashed it on there..
It has 4.4 apps and boot animation from kitkat..... the rest is a 4.2 rom

Got it. So no 4.4 for this device yet I take it.
Does anyone have a google dialer that works with sprints 4.4.2 galaxy s4 update. I flashed a zip I found online from android authority I believe and when I clicked on the dialer it crashed instantly. Just wondering if anyone has gotten a working apk for kit Kat's touchwiz ROM.

Hi,
I just updated to KitKat and I'm not able to "activate" immersive mode. Tried with Perfect Viewer and BadLand, but there's no way that the buttons disappear
This is my System Software info:
Android Version: 4.2.2
Kernel Version: 3.4.0
Compilation Number: JDQ39B
Software Version: D80210h-214-03
Has anyone experience something similar?
Thank you
Well technically 4.2.2 is jellybean not kitkat
