Going to buy this device next week.So i got a query which i wanted to clear out!
I heard somewhere that LG G2 doesn't support video calling!Though I know this is something which is not possible but can someone just confirm that whether or not it support video calls?
Thank You.
Nope, there is no option for video calling on my D802.
Seems like alot of manufacturers are dropping this, in favor of video chatting via skype, etc.
Samsung still has them I think..

I am using Cingular which is not planning to support video conferencing (at least until the competition forces them to). Can anyone tell me how to tweak or otherwise turn on the front video camera -- not sure if it can be used other than in video calls but I'm curious to see since I've never actually tried it.
Thanks!
Just wondering..
According to www.Phonearena.com the HTC X7500 Advantage DOESNT support video streaming.
Forgive me if i am mistaken, but does that mean i can take a video with the Advantage, but as soon as i have done so, i cant play it back on the actual X7500 itself?
If thats the case, it sucks!! Kinda stupid.
Anyway around it? Clarification?
(read about what streaming is here

Thanks Rudegar)
You are mistaken. Playing videos works fine.
Streaming means downloading and playing at the same time from the internet which, certainly in some circumstances, does work. Although T-Mobiles tv service doesn't seem to work.
The info is certainly incorrect. This device can do that without problem at all. Any problem is likely to come from other sources.
Thanks
Ok Cool. Thanks guys. Just satisfying my paranoia!
ive already posted this at ppcgeeks, and figured that it doesnt hurt to post here too. hopefully i can get a quick response
it might have been discussed already, but i really need to know now. i dont really have time to search through 1000 threads that have the word recorded in it. is there a prog that will allow me to record the conversation into an mp3 or something, or is there a compatible voice recorder that i can plug in the mini usb? OR.... does anyone know of a sprint phone that i could do this with? its that important that i would be willing to pay the loot to switch phones to do this.
thanks you sooooo much for any help or useful advice

Haven't tried any of them but they may get you headed in the right direction... I'd start with the Resco option... last link.
this is tricky business. i researched for a while into recording calls and tried Resco Audio Recorder and LivePVR. the problem here is that these programs don't consider the earpiece to be a source for audio. they both require that the speakerphone be on, however if it isnt on before the call is made then the software does not recognize any source, and being fast enough to turn the speakerphone on IMMEDIATELY is damn near impossible. the closest i got was with LivePVR, but i wasnt able to record everything i wanted to. as far as i can tell there isnt any way to get the speakerphone on before a call, so you might be SOL here unless there is something im missing
ok...i bought a mini usb BT adapter at Walmart that has exactly what you want as a service.....its blue and looks like a little mushroom...i could get more details for ya if needed.......but you can run a voice service through your pc and then record in any program....you talk through your laptop/pc microphone.....
I had this requirement since WM5 on TyTN but it was never fulfilled due to hardware issues. Basically, what I need is a software that will automatically and transparently record all my telephone conversations on the background and save them on a reserved area on SD card and erase older calls on a FIFO manner. Then, in case you need to replay one of those calls, you can locate it on sd and listen to it.
In older HTC phones, this would fail due to hardware limitations. You couldn't record the output of the other party's voice that comes from the speaker.
Does anyone know if that will be possible with DHD and if there is a software for this or built-in functionality?
PS.
Please do not go into the procedure of explaining that recording conversations is illegal.
So, I understand that either there is nothing like that or no one knows yet.
Does anyone know then at least if it's possible to manually record the conversation on your card and have both partys voice clearly recorded? not only yours through the mic?
try this website, it has many free and paid for call recording applications. although the reviews are not all that.
Thanks. it looks interesting although from the details I saw, it seems that the same limitation will still exist. I guess it will be a permanent hardware limitation.
I'll give it a try in a few days when I'll have my phone.
First off, I'm new to the Iconia, just bought it two days ago with the Staples coupon
I've got it updated as of this morning to 3.1 with the 4.010.11 build (US). I can't tell you if this problem started after the update because I only tried afterwards to video chat with my gf on a PC, but it seems as though the incoming sound isn't working for the Talk app. She can hear me and we can both see each other fine, but the only problem is that I can't hear her. We tried Skype amd I can hear her just fine off of that, but if my understanding is correct, Skype doesn't support the Iconia for video (right?). Anyone else have this problem and/ or knows how to solve this problem?
Are there any other apps we can use on the Iconia to video chat with PC users?
try to reinstall... maybe you are on mute (don't use gtalk, but just guessing) i duuno otherwise sorry
Yeah I checked and made sure neither of us were on mute. If you don't us gtalk, what do you use? I don't care to use 1 app over another so long as I can get video chatting with a desktop/ laptop to work.
