Sounds like you stumbled across a post in the E4GT section. Are you talking about the pull down itself or the bar up top with notification icons and such?

Several months ago the people at droid forums found out how to animate the pulldown of the notification bar, it was on droid life, and I thought it would be all over the place in roms, and now, I updated to droid 3 and gave my d1 to my bro, and wanting to show him something cool in the notification bar, I no longer can find that anywhere, does anyone know a link? Thanks in advanced

I am using the Eye Candy theme on my OG Droid running LGB 3.0. It has an animated pull down. Dark Horse has one too. I hope this is what you are looking for.

Over the past couple days I've been seeing advertisements in my notification bar, a white star with a red dot in the center. When the notification bar is pulled down there is a solid red star next to the advertisement. Now I haven't downloaded anything new, only updated applications that I have had installed for a while so I'm not sure where there coming from. Is there a way to figure out what application is carrying these advertisements. I've attached a photo of what it looks like, any help is appreciated.

Look in the market for any airpush apps. There are many that will tell you which app it is.

I have this solid black bar (see screenshot) that appears at the bottom of the topic list in the xda-developers app. I couldn't get my Navbar to show up in the screenshot, but it's there. The black bar sits between my Navbar and the last forum topic. As you can see in the screenshot, the avatar of the Android guy is cut in half. Anyone else have this problem? Not sure if it's the g2, the app, or maybe it's supposed to be there.

It's the app. That's where the ad goes but it doesn't load half the time

Oh, ok. Thank you.
When I open up a folder that has several icons from the so called desktop view, it has now been white for about a month (give or take). It used to be black and I have tried to change it but no such luck. I've looked online and even emailed the dev but no response back. I have poked around in launcher settings and tried various settings but no luck there either. Can anyone please tell me where the setting is or how to change it back to black. I would be so greatfull I have attached screen shots.

I'd love to know how to switch it back to black as well. The new white backgrounds are awful.
I know it is an old topic, but have someone find the solution ?
Thx.
Does anyone know the codes to get the lock screen status bar black instead of transparent?
I've been looking through the framework and I can't seem to figure out the bools.xml code.
It's frustrating me to death.
Questions should be in q&a, but I'll give you a start. It's in android.policy.jar..... keyguardviewmanager.smali

Haha that's funny, with my old phone I was doing everything I could to try to make my bar transparent, and when I got this phone I thought, yes, finally, and I don't need to tweak it for it to be transparent. Just goes to show you how much everyone really does like their own thing on these phones, good thing we have android.
