[Optimus L5] Can't go into ClockworkMod Recovery or ROM!!! - Optimus L3, L5, L7 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

HELP! I think my phone may be HARD-BRICKED! :crying::crying:
I was trying to install this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2338297 ROM but, I was being stupid and didn't look in the install instructions and then I kept struggling to get to CWM with the buttons without getting the CyanogenMod startup, and I kept removing the battery to fully turn off the phone. I had to install the Gapps so I was struggling, and just when I thought that I'd finally get in, it just stayed at the LG Logo. Forever. Please help!! :crying::crying:
EDIT: It is a LG-E612g
EDIT 2: Someone ask if they need more info! Currently, I'm trying to flash a stock ROM with cmd

Yeah, I don't really know then. Good luck on your noble quest.
Can it be the cables fault, since I know some cables don't let the software detect it.

Argh!!
Can an expert PLEASE get in here please?

Getting into recovery can be a pain and a slow method
What I do:
Press power + volume down + home
Hold them all down until it vibrates
Release volume and power, but keep hold of home
Wait until it loads. Can be a minute sometimes..

THANK YOU SO MUCHH!!!! Restoring it now! Hope you have a million Thanks!

Uh oh!
CWM is now saying ".android_secure.img not found! Skipping restore of .android_secure.img! Restoring cache.. Restored! Restore complete!"
I rebooted it and then when it gets to the unlock screen, it then powers off. Is there a way to fix this?

Still doing it. However, when I turn it sideways, I see that my phone seems to be working before it powers off. But I can only see a half of it because the start-up screen is covering the other half.. Thus, not being able to read what is on screen. Help?

[Recovery]CWM for Samsung Galaxy SIII mini - official

Few days ago an official CWM recovery was made from the ClokworkMod team for our device. Here you can find the link for the site to download or you can download the ROM Manager app from the play store. It's version 6.0.2.7 and it is the latest version.
It's official so don't ask if it work, cos it works.

Find a backup of original recovery.img for i8190 and put it on your external sd.
Use Terminal emulator with "dd if=/storage/extSdCard/recovery.img of=dev/block/mmcblk0p21" command, and it will be written to your recovery partition.
What different between CWM recovery and original recovery?
Is both support three key combo reboot? Volume up + home + power when phone starting..... or how?
Which is better for usage?

You can't reset it not yet.
Why did you even flash it with Odin? You should've asked me to make a flashable zip with stock recovery, like the ones you saw in other CWM topics.
But most importantly, why did you reflash stock recovery in the first place?
I`m not able to access CWM recovery mode by holding down the 'HOME' + 'VOLUME UP' buttons and press the 'POWER' button for about 5 seconds . The phone show me a black screen and reboot again , if try again to enter recovery mode I face same reboot , if no key are pressed is just booting normally . Strange is that TWRP recovery is working perfectly with the combination of vol up + menu + power

If TWRP is an option for you you can install it using the GooManager app, install the GooManager app, open it press the menu button go to install openrecoveryscript it'll say this will download and write a recovery image to your device. Press Yes.
It then asks you if you want to install openrecovery-twrp-2.5.0.0-find5.img, this is the latest version made by Kamma and Dees_Troy I believe.
This should help you out.

Alright There is an issue with a find 5 that i tried to trouble shoot. The owner of this find 5 is able to boot into fastboot but not into recovery. No matter how many times I tried to flash recovery, it always did but the phone refused to enter recovery. First, it doesnt even start without a power source. whether it be a connection to the computer or power outlet, it needs as a power source, and when it doesn, holding the volume down + power it goes from the oppo screen to a black screen. Anyone have any idea? I even flashed the rom though fastboot (which i didnt know could be done but apparently it can) and it still didnt turn on and still had the same issues

[Q] Bricked after dirty flash?

I have TWRP 2.6.3.2 installed as my recovery. I tried pressing power/volume down at same time; takes me back to same screen. Any thing you guys suggest trying?

I found an easier way. When powered off hold volume down and power. When you see LG logo release buttons and press them again. when you are in the factory reset screen just press the power button 2 times and it should take you to recovery. This works for me in the T-mobile variant running TWRP.

[Q] Phone is bricked help...

Hi everyone. I tried to downgrade from kitkat on my lg g2 d800 and I followed the guide and downloaded the necessary files but now my phone wont boot and windows can't detect it. I can't get into fastboot...please help
I think you just need to do a hard reset. Unless something went wrong during the flash?
Downgrading requires a factory reset. Power off the phone, press volume down and power button until the LG logo appears then press power again. Should take you to factory reset mode.
Otherwise you can flash KK again using the kdz from download mode (plug to your computer whilst holding volume up I believe)

Thank you everyone. Something did go wrong during the flash...it just stopped abruptly at 12 percent. I tried doing a hard reset by holding the volume down and then letting go when the logo appeared and then pressing the buttons again. It says resetting in progress but then shuts off.

Holding the power button and the volume - key and then letting go and pressing them again when the lg logo comes up again, brings up the hard reset menu. Don't know if you have experience with Ubuntu. But its easy to install and the process is easier than it looks.
Check if your phone has some if these symptoms. And please note that you CAN'T use the files provided in the OP. You need the files for D800.

Unplug your device, run the following command and plug the device back in (maybe you have to execute the command again):
dmesg -c
This should show you all USB system events. Your phone should show up as /dev/s<omething>.
However, the phone needs to be powered on. If it shut's itself off, Linux probably can't connect to it ...
