Hello friends,
I am having few querries about my recently bought Optimus L7 II dual P715 phone.
1. As it is being a dual sim phone I have both sims installed. But in messaging app how to know if some message has come from sim 1 or sim 2? I am not able to find it.
2. If I call someone phone automatically goes to vibrate mode and dont return to normal mode after call. Everytime I have to do it manually. I dont know whether this has started happening after I recently updated my phone 3 days before. Because I have never faced this problem previously.
3. I am actived 3G in one of my sim but I am not getting good 3G speed. I have tested this speedtest.net app and everytime I am getting download speed around 300-350 kbps while upload speed around 700-800 kbps. Shouldn't upload speed be less than download speed? Why am I getting too slow 3G speeds? I have tried same sim in my S4 but there it is giving decent speeds. Also why I am not able to get H+ network which I am getting on my S4. Even on my old S2 also. But on this phone I am getting only 3G ans H networks only. Attached screenshot for reference.

For messages to know at which sim it came just open the message till last you see the boxes and look at the right hand corner it will say sim 1 ror sim 2...
Now for internet speeds i am also getting low speeds don't know why may be a new rom could help us but the rom is nowhere near i guess.

And also there tweaks using 3g 4g optimizer app (free in play store) but you need to be rooted just choose the maximum speed that is fastest at the end of options and tap at option of maximum download speed low upload speed and then click apply tweak and restart your phone, it will definitely increase your download speed like it has mine so good luck on that...

I've been the proud owner of a G2 for three days now and my download speeds have hovered around the exact same area that I was getting with my Vibrant. Yesterday I decided to swap my Vibrant SIM to the one packaged with the G2 and I'm pleased to say that I got my first real world experience of HSPA+ this morning; a result that is unachievable by the Vibrant. Without further ado...

**Note - While I am in love with that speed, there's still web issues that I have. Does anyone else's G2 randomly get stuck on uploading data for a while instead of downloading? During this time, I cannot send messages or download. I just have to sit and wait until it's done. Anyway, what are the speeds that you all are experiencing with your G2's?
Yes, sometimes my data stops working. A quick toggle between airplane mode seems to fix it.
So u swapped sims to the one that came with the g2 and instantly got faster speeds?
Maybe I need to try and swap. I just used the sim that I had in my G1

No, it wasn't instant. It was ironically a gradual process. (Or so it seemed...) It started off at the peak of what I was getting with my Vibrant around 6mbps and then kept moving up. I didn't swap the SIM for faster speeds but more to resolve missing phone calls without notifications. (That benefit alone was worth it!) I was under the impression that the swap wouldn't change much, if anything, but I think my argument has been shot out of the water. Go figure.
Mm well so 3 years ago I went to Verizon from sprint cause a phone that I wanted and data speeds and service in Las Vegas (north) sucked for.Sprint back then And I went back to sprint because their.service got cheaper and I.wanted the.hero (evo Wasn't announce yet) so anyway my friend got a Droid x and his girlfriend a Droid Inc and I got an iPhone 4( I hated at&t and don't worry I'm not leaving android ) I been running some speed test in android Evo (sprint) and iPhone (Verizon ) and the speed in sprint looks faster by almost a 1 mb almost every test but I ran the speed test on the Inc and Droid x and speeds are practicly the same on those phones then the evo, do you guys know why iPhone speeds are slower? Maybe the app was make in a different way for iPhone (the data package is bigger? ) because speed test on the browser are almost the same on iPhone and evo
Weird?

Use an ad blocker your speed might slightly improve

adblockers make your internet slower, not once a connection is made, but while trying to make the connection. Every time your phone tries to access a website it has to parse that huge hosts file. Even on desktop PCs this will cause slow downs.
So I still don't know what's making the speed test slower in iPhone 4 but in wifi iPhone 4 has better speeds in the same wifi network, maybe the app wasn't make the same

I live right at the edge of a LTE tower and my phone is constantly switching between 3g and 4g. Is there anyway I can force 4g?
Sent from my SPH-L720 using xda app-developers app
Other than getting closer to the tower not really. You can't just make the Sprint network better from your phone. Try updating your prl and profile while on a solid lte connection. You can try manual prls too but I never use them.

Unless its a option built into a custom ROM there is no way to do it.
Bummer. Thanks for the answers. Its just annoying when I'm watching a YouTube video over 4g and all of a sudden it switches to 3g.

If you are on a ROM that supports the dialer codes you can go into your phone and dial
##3282#
Select "Edit" then input your MSL#
If you need to get your MSL
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2271618&highlight=msl
select Others -> HDR/1X Selection and select "LTE Only Mode"
I am not in a 4G area right now so I don't know if this will work or not but it looks like it should do what you are looking for.
If it doesn't work change it back to LTE+CDMA+EVDO Mode
EDIT: The #3282# dialer code works on stock ROMs and I tried this when I got home from work and it does do what you are looking for although if you move into a non 4G area you will need to go back in and enable CDMA to get service.
Awesome! Thanks I'll definitely try this out tomorrow.

I have the T-Mobile version and I've noticed some quirks and was hoping for some answers.
First Google Keyboard, why does it sound like a typewriter instead of the traditional ticking noises heard on the Galaxy S4?
Next is there a way to make WiFi Calling sound better? When I use cellular service the call quality sounds decent but during WiFi it sounds bad.
When I download something why doesn't it show up in downloads? I downloaded a new .apk from tapatalk to help them diagnose a problem with a forum. Went to my download app via app drawer and its not there. Had to go to the download folder via file manager to find it.
How do I access or turn off my clipboard. I use Dashlane and find this to be a huge security flaw. It stores way too many passwords or things.
Cyanogenmod support is this possible?

I also have t mobile variant of this phone, and I have not noticed the wifi issue you have explained. In fact it sounds a lot better for me, it might be your wifi itself, slow speeds = lower quality. Only thing I see fit is too get a faster wifi, or better signal. As for cm support its possible we are waiting for unlocked boot loader.
Sent from my LG-D801 using xda app-developers app
Tapatalk download in ANY phone won't show up because of the way it downloads. Dunno about clipboard. And..the phone hasn't been out for two weeks. Wait for more roms.

How much speed is needed for good WiFi calling? Perhaps it is my phone specifically. Typically I get around 50Mbps but for some reason I can't get past 35Mbps. Not sure what's going on.

Well I just got a replacement phone and it sounds the same. The guy at T-Mobile says he hears it too but doesn't think its bad. He thinks its just the way its designed. He went ahead and gave me a replacement just to "appease" the customer I'm sure but at the end of the day it sounds the same.

I previously had an LG G3 and in areas where I would get 5-20mbps download and about 5mbps upload, I am not getting only 1mbps or less on 4G with the S7 Edge!
I am using the new sim card that came with the phone, and I've tried reseating it. Wifi is OK, can't say anything for 3G or lower as it always shows 4G for me. All calls, text, etc work OK. It's just any data access is extremely slow! Speed test below.

No issues here. Actually at home where I am only getting about 3 bars

I think it's just Verizon. Some areas I get very fast speeds of 50-80Mbps, other areas it's dog slow.
I've qnoticed my s7 edge is a bit slower than my s6 edge. But there's an update available now. I'd take it, but I'm @ 22%.
im getting this aswell, coming from my droid turbo i get much better data speeds on the turbo rather than the s7
I actually get significantly faster data speeds than my note 5
