Forms of this question have been around but I do not see an answer. I am using an AT&T Galaxy S 4 SGH-1337 on MF3 with Stock ROM with TouchWiz. I have root access via the new method of rooting, with SuperSU installed.
I am looking for a way to adjust all 4 volume options with the volume rocker at once. When you tap V+ or V-, the on screen menu displays with the "Call" volume. You can tap the settings COG and it will show all 4 volume types: "Ringtone, Media, Notifications and System". I am looking for a method of changing all 4 volumes simultaneously with the volume rocker.
I cannot install a custom ROM - if you know anything about MF3, you will not suggest that or a launcher.
I have tasker but have racked my brain trying to come up with a way to do it tasker. I am open to options.
Does anyone know of a way to do this?
I'd love to see this feature, as well! Though, I'm on a custom ROM: GOLDENEYE (newest release).

I'm currently running the NRGZ energy ROM and he has only the ringer volume. Is their anyway to get back the system volume so I can have both?
I've searched, but can't seem to find any results on this specific matter.
Thanks in advance!
I'm using a stock ROM, but I guess it will be the same. Go to the settings tab, then tap into 'sound and display',then toggle the ' single volume' button.
Yeah I know about that already, but when I move the volume for that both move at the same time. What I want is the split from where I press the volume button on the side and you would see both System with the ringer. Without the system there I can't control the volume.
I got it guys! In case anyone wants to know.

Yeah .. but that is exactly what the guy above said .. right ?
Hi,
I've been using CyanogenMod 10.2 on my Nexus 4, but I changed back to Stock Android. But now I'm missing a very useful option: the option to use the volume keys for skipping the Musik when the screen is on and I would like to use it now on Stock Android. The Apps in the Play Store don't work like I want, on one hand they don't work that good and on the other hand they only change the volume control to musik control, but I want to use both (short press for volme up/down, long press for next/previous title) so I thought I could use the ButtonRemapper or Tasker to make this real. But I can't find a function for "long press" in the ButtonRemapper or the possibility to have two things on one button or, in ideally a way to only activate it when the screen is turned off. And in Tasker (I only have the free version now for testing) I can't find a way too, so there would only be the possibility of a script for all I know.
Is there any way to solve my problem?
BTW: I have Android 4.3, rooted. And I need an "step-by-step-walkthrough", especially when I need a script because I don't know anything about scripting, so please have understanding when I need an easy way for that.
Works now with Xposed Framework...
Hey guys.. might be a newb question but I just came from the HTC world after several years of modding and this is my very first Samsung.
I have tried two ROMs and really like one of them. The only thing stopping from me completely abandoning my stock ROM is I really like how pushing the home button brings my phone to the lock screen. I have a brand new trident case and the power button is a little stiff so its easier to have that function available. I am on the AT&T MF3 firmware using Graviton ROM.
Can anyone tell me how to make this work??

I tried this ROM before and if I remember correctly there should be an option in Settings -> My Device -> Display. It sounded like enabling the option turned off the home wake, and it was already disabled which was confusing. But enabling the option and then disabling it seemed to work.
I have NOT tried gravitron rom so I don't know how it is configured. But I found this guide here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2263253 that talks about How To turn OFF the hone button wake. So it should be easy to CHECK your keylayout and see IF it is set up like below. If it is I would venture to say you will just edit the keylayout file FROM "172 Home" back to "172 Home Wake". Just follow the directions from below BUT reverse what it says.
How To DISABLE Home Wake
1) Open Root Explorer
2) Navigate to: /system/usr/keylayout/
3) Press 'Mount R/W'
4) Long hold 'gpio-keys.kl' and choose "Open in Text Editor"
5) Remove "WAKE" from the line "172 HOME WAKE"
6) Back out, Save, Reboot
How to Re-enable Home Wake
1) Open root explorer
2) Navigate to /system/use/keylayout/
3) Press Mount RW
4) Long hold "gpio-keys.kl" and choose "Open in text editor"
5) ADD "WAKE" to line "172 HOME" (SO IT READS 172 HOME WAKE)
6) Back out, save, reboot phone

Is there an app or way to get my volume button to skip tracks like Cynogenmod?
There are several Xposed modules that can be used to accomplish this is your device is rooted.

Hi,
I was hoping that with Android Lolipop that I installed two days ago on my S4, it would have the same behaviour as the S5 when you press the menu or home button. Since I use the taskmanager (application icons) very frequently, I was hoping that it would not require long-pressing the menu button anymore, but I was wrong.
I think this must be a Touchwiz-setting, so how can I alter the default behaviour to quickly access the taskmanager, for example like it is default on the Galaxy S4, as well as on the Google nexus devices (which use the square button for that on the homescreen).
Thanks alot.
You can do that with various custom roms.
Depends on how you want it. For instance, pretty much all CM12 based roms have the ability to set each key behavior. I have my menu key set to show recent apps when long-pressing it.
Most roms also have the ability to set on-screen buttons.
