How to find my device on WatchON? - Galaxy S 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi. I'm from Turkey. I've a local brand DVB device. It is not listed on Samsung WatchON application. How can I success to control it?
Thanks in advance...

Hello persmash,
have you tried requesting info for your device from peel? ---> http://help.peel.com/requests/new
just let them know as much detail as possible about your device (you'll find these in it's menu under info), or look for stickets on it with manufacturer names, maybe you'll find out from what manufacturer was it "rebranded" and look for that brand's codes

FM Radio API?

Does anyone know how you access the FM radio (programmatically)?
To answer that is might help to know what device you'd want to access it for... Microsoft has no API for a FM tuner... Thus any device with one is using code either custom written or made by the chipset manufacturer.
Oops, sorry!
It's an XDA Atom.
I asked O2 about it but they gave me a pretty clueless answer (ie "You should ask a third party software writer about it".. Too bad if I was a third party coder.)
I can't find any technical details on that device, so basically, you need to identify what parts it uses, specifically what FM Tuner chipset it's got. Then we find white papers and go from there. The other possibility is to extract the programs on the phone that do use it, reverse them a bit and hopefully find the function calls to a support library and wrap the library with your own code...
Damn
Unfortunately reverse engineering software isn't really my thing.
Any ideas for finding out what's in it? I googled but I can't find pictures of a disassembled one yet
If I could find what chip I think I'd be able to write some code to talk to it, I have some experience in that area.
if google and wiki is no help you can
1 wait
2 open it youself and check
3 look around in the dirs and registry for infomation from keys and dlls
Yeah, been googling but yet to find the magical query
I might open it after O2 fix my busted wireless (or decide it's a software problem)

looking for a SMARTPHONE

Hi there,
I need to make an application for a smart device. This application should be able to access the GPS (the device must have GPS) on the COM ports and collect data so that I can calculate the distance when the device is moving. Other requests are that the device should run Windows Mobile and have UMTS capability. I will be using . NET platform for writing the application, so if someone has done this before or something similar and can help me with anything from advices to code snippets or even the application itself, I will be forever thankful .
The big question I have in the beginning is what device suits best this description. I want to use the classic ASUS 636n but it has no UMTS capability.
thanks to admins for this great forum , see ya
Check gsmarena.com. They have a good search utility.
Here are my results
I picked Windows Mobile Pro because you mentioned 636N and it's a touch device.
I also picked UMTS 2100 assuming you're not in the US since 636N was never sold in the US.
please do NOT provide answers in this section
refer to the Q&A section
thank you

[Q] how to make a gps tracket app

hello all
i dont even know how to ask…
but this is the project i would like to start:
develop an that will be able to track another phone or gps device based on phone number or some sort of imei or sn
the both devices know about each other… its not something that will run without the knowledge of this devices.
is there a way to do this?
would i need a separate server witch will receive the gps info an pass on to the other device?
Sent from my SGS2 on SB4.4.2

I think yes, you need some communication node here.
One device should send id(imei) and position to server, and second will request last position(or all previous positions) by id.
I don't know any other way that can help to archive your goal(direct connection between devices also possible, but you need server anyway )
thank you,
any other suggestions/thoughts ?

What type is "I22" or "Da Fit" compatible watch

Hi.
I've been given an inexpensive Bluetooth watch for Christmas. It identifies itself as I22 and the version (I think it's a firmware version) is MOY-RSC5-2.0.2.
It advocates the use of the Da Fit app on my phone.
Yes, of course I'm trying to figure out if I can:
hack the firmware
use an alternative app with it
create alternative faces like the hundreds which seem to be available on "the cloud".
There's very little on the web about "I22" and it's not helpful that the packaging doesn't seem to hint at any particular manufacturer.
Is this a "type" of watch and if so how is it categorised? I've a feeling it's the same as the FITMASTER GW-I22 (or possibly a clone thereof), or the "HAVAFIT".
Has anyone seen a teardown of the watch type, or does anyone know anything about it?
Thanks.
