unlock and overclock

yes thats is i want to overclock my niki and and unlock but dont know how and how many mhz i can put in my niki could you help me and find the programs to do it
atm it's impossible to unlock the Niki. Have no idea about overclocking, but doesn't seem possible yet aswell. We have a support project going on where you can donate for tom_codon to get a Dual and cook the rom in order to give us all an unlocking tool. Just check the sticky thread
cheers!
Any news on Overclock or Underclock ?
Any software similar Battery Status ?
i have no idea why anyone would want to overclock this device.
think about it this way the battery life is already terrible and if ur over clock it then it is only gonna get worse. the only reason it runs slowly is because the drivers are useless on it.
once the driver updates come out if they ever do and the access to the ati gpu is enabled i think all of your speed troubles will be over.
just my opinion

trade sgs i9000 for xperia play

Hi
I currently have an sgs i9000 and although its a good phine I've spent about £50 on games but never play any because I despise touch screen controlls
The reason I got the sgs in the first place is so I don't have to carry arouns a psp and a phone at thr same time sothis seems far better for what I want.
The reason I ask is I know the sgs has a great modding community and although im not big on it I would like to be able to root and install different themes but gaming is the main reason I want the phone
if u want to play games then get the play it rapes touchscreen gaming in everyway u will nt be dissapointed

The devs are just starting to crack the play now, but you will really need, an unbranded factory unlocked device, the reason is, sony is only allowing the unlocking of bootloaders for factory unlocked devices ATM, we now have a custom recovery for the play, CM7 on the way, and no doubt the MUI team will jump on the play soon aswell, but for all this an unlocked bootloader is required
All I see about MIUI on the Play (which would be awesome) is a poll with a misinformed poor soul telling us that he wants to get a new Verizon phone, and he has to choose between the R800x, which "has unlocked bootloaders" or the Droid Incredible 2. The poll is very heavily skewed towards the DInc.
If you want to game, get the Play. It's just not a comparison.

Pros for 9505: many roms including aosp and better community support, GPU with OpenGL 3.0, LTE, same hardware as google edition
Cons for 9505: about 10% less CPU power
Pros for 9500: about 10% more CPU power
Cons for 9500: no AOSP at least for now, worse dev community support, older GPU, no LTE (LTE version of 9500 is only in Korea), flawed CPU
No one knows if You will be able to flash google rom directly, but most probably it will be at least easily portable to 9505. For me the choice is very easy.

You're buying S4 from korea?
Anyway, get i9505 as it has much more development support and has 4g.

So the Gpu is better on the I9505 even though it's weaker?
Which one will show better performance in the future on heavy games (I know that at the moment, no game is a challenge for any one of them...).

See the gpu in i9500 has higher mhz but it isnt noticeable as no games are that high but for the future the i9500 has no support for glse 3.0 unlike the i9505 which does so u choose
samsung made this a controversy so that both devices sell
so....I9505 ? Or I9500?
iPhone 5 definitely :good: :good:

Youve been given the details and pros/cons ...can you not make your own decision? Why are you asking people to choose for you

[Q] Can I use the 910C (Exynos) in Hungary?

tl;dr: ^ See topic text. ( I guess I would not have LTE here with that, but that's not a big issue at all. Coverage is horrible in Hungary anyway. )
A few shops* sell the 910C here as well, not just the F version.
Now I know that the Exynos version is faster, more power efficient.
And I guess all official updates will also reach this variant faster or pretty much with the same speed.
On the other hand, we have the Snapdragon, which got much more custom roms and section on XDA.
(Honestly it feels so weird that the 1.9ghz A57 can beat the S805 clocked at 2.7ghz in single-thread....)
Anyway. Personally, I used the S3, S4, Note 2, S4 Mini, Motorola phones... and every time I installed Cyanogenmod or other CM/AOSP-variant roms, it was riddled with bugs.
Don't get me wrong, the Note 2 have the DN4 Rom which is basically a Note 4 rom ported, and it's great. It's stable, it's got a few quirks, but it works.
But from that, it doesn't seem to be a good deal to trade speed, and power just for more roms. (Let alone Knox which I don't want to trip.)
Sooo... I would be pretty fine with the Exynos version.
But can I use it here?
* = all gsm shops are shady in the country, that's why I'm super-cautious.
Use Exynos in Hungary
If you mean just using it as a normal phone I don't see why not.
The type of processor will have no influence on the normal use of the phone. (as in calling, texting internet and email and such)
If you would want to root it and start working with custom ROMs it might not e the best idea. Most open source development is on the Snapdragon variant.
The AOSP ROMs have come a long way over the last couple of years. I experience hardly any bugs with the bigger devellopment teams.
All the best, Willem
Thank you! Well, I know the difference is tiny, but you cannot install roms and stuff without tripping KNOX anyway. It will be a business phone so I would like to keep my warranty.
Not sure if allowed, but please, excuse my bump.
I would like to order the phone as soon as possible.
So far I'm convinced that the Exynos will be fine for me.
But the main question remains. Can I use it in this country?
I tried to look up the chipset, the phone, everything - but there is just no information on what frequencies does it support / etc.
So I had a wild idea. Screenshot the box at unboxing on Youtube, so I can check.
Then I used this:
http://www.worldtimezone.com/gsm.html
That says it should work. What do you guys think?

935F vs 935W8 roms

Hello all I've been out of the phone modding game for about 4 years and just picked up a w8 model and like the phone though sad to see no cm.
I've been browsing the site and had a few questions about modding my phone.. Several roms specifically say it supports w8 while others just say 935F.. is there really additional code to support the w8 or the rom just hasn't been verified by the developer?
Also several roms say to install the latest bootloader and modem but the link only takes you to the 935F versions.. I already have the latest update from Wind in Canada which ends in API1 is this good enough or do I need to flash a different downloaded version and if so can someone point me in the right direction for the Wind files..
One last thing.. I see a lot of people discussing flashing a csc.. but not sure what that is. I assume it's local carrier settings or something but how often is it needed? And does it only need to be done with certain roms or if there are certain issues.
I've only really used HTC and Nexus phones previously so don't wanna brick this pretty new toy as I bought it second hand and don't have warranty.
Also.. probably not the place to ask but what roms do you guys prefer that supports w8? I'm looking for something fast debloated and lots of customization.. haven't really seen the N7 so not sure about new UX.. I've usually gone cm all the way so used to default android..
Thanks for any info/advice/recommendations
I can't believe this question isn't answered. All samsung line with a pile of unecessary variations is confusing. I just picked up the phone and have no idea, while it should be same cpu=same rom
