LG Optimus l5 e450 stock formware backup and root - Optimus L3, L5, L7 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hey guys
I have bought a new LG optimus l5 e450 for my sister.. I have looked up on some guides for rooting this phone. However, i just want to know that before rooting, how can i backup my current stock firmware so that in case if anything goes wrong, i can restore my phone to its original condition?
Also how can i enter the recovery mode in this mobile? So maybe i can get a backup option in the recovery mode..like i can do in my S2..
I really want to root and install a new rom on this mobile but i want to be able to backup my current rom so i can restore it in case if anything goes wrong..
Any help would be appreciated, thanks

[Q] No recovery after flashing stock rom? LG G2 D802

Hey guys, I've been having some issues booting into recovery since flashing the stock rom back onto my LG G2 D802.
My phone had been rooted and was using TWRP as it's recovery tool. However, I wanted to unroot and go back to stock on this phone so found a guide in order to do so.
I followed the guide exactly as it is in this thread and completed 100% but now when trying to go into recovery mode nothing happens, the screen just goes black and just reboots itself.
Does anyone know if and how I can get the stock recovery back onto my phone?
Thank you in advance

Stock recovery s4 (gti9515)

Hey
Since I don't know how to make a backup of the stock recovery without root or custom recovery, I want to ask if anyone already has a backup of the stock recovery and want to share it. Or if you know a site where I can download it, you can mention that too. It's just that the gt i9515 isn't that populair.
Thanks
If you want the stock recovery back, then just flash the stock rom. No point in backing it up.
I thought the recovery isn't a part of the rom. Am I right?
Does anyone know where I can get it?

Well you should clearly use a descriptive title as I got into this thread without any expectations.
Anyhow, depending on the rom you tried to restore, you might have ended up with LP modem (from cloudy 3.1) on a kitkat rom... or not, considering you didn't really provide much information and I have no idea what variant are you talking about.

Any ida what to do?
Thanks for all ideas.
Maybe go back to a stock ROM and start over? This thread may be helpful in getting back to stock: https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2432476
The thread helped me go from Cloudy 3.2 to stock MM on a d802.

Right so I'm facing two problems with going back to stock method:
1) as i said, the phone won't boot up on flashing ANY version of d802 firmware (I've observed that in lg flash tool, where you flash tot files, shows that the phone's model number is d802at. So I'll try flashing a d802at fw for the last time and see if it works)
2) i try to flash an ls980 fw, the flash tool gives a model number error. (If flashing d802at fw doesn't work, then i guess i have to modify the hex data in the ls980zve.tot file and force flash it on the phone)
I'll give you an update after something has happened.
@ audit13 it is work!!! Thanks for your help! And I have one last question, I still have root acces and TWRP installed?
Glad it worked
You should be back to stock recovery and no root.

LG G3 D855 V20n root and flash fail :(

I bought a D855 motherboard from ebay, and it arrived with Android 5.0 V20n.
I want to install LineageOS on it, so I need to root it first.
But every method I tried failed (probably not compatible with V20n).
So I tried to flash another stock ROM, but both LG Flash Tool and LG UP fail to recognize the device.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Did you manage to sort that out? I’m in exactly the same situation
