[Q] P5100 hard bricked or coma bricked? - Galaxy Tab 2 General

I was flashing a CR (which, btw was successful). I then went onto flashing the jb bootloader which, without realisation, was the jb bootloader for my galaxy note phone. Now my tab (p5100) wont turn on..AT ALL. What should I do now? Some one please help??
THANKYOU.

You're Hardbricked.
Take it to Service Center or a local repairer or repair it youself if you have a J-Tag unit.
Good luck.

Or you might have to open the tablet up and get a replacement hard drive with stock touch wiz. Sorry mate

It's hard to say, but you did given yourself an hard brick.
JTAG or a USB jig would be the homemade possible options left.
Or go get it repaired, but i highly recommand a usb jig, then flashing stock with odin.

I don't think a USB Jig will revive the tablet but you should give a try. Hope i'm wrong :3

USB Jig on Bell\Virgin Galaxy S II

If you're wondering if the USB jig works on Bell GSII... read on.
So I received my USB jig in the mail today.
First off a little background...
Bell locked, but unlocked using unsecured kernel and Helroz's Galaxy_S unlock app.
Flashed multiple custom ROMs and the last one I had was Sensation ROM by Crysis.
At boot up I was showing the nasty YELLOW triangle and showed "Galaxy S II I-9100" as opposed to "I-9100M".
The jig worked, cleared my counter and removed the yellow stain on my boot up screen, and brought me back to i-9100M.
With that said, anyone in need of an emergency USB jig fix around the GTA can use mine but of course, you'd have to meet me... I ain't driving to meet you.
Good to know it works.
I should be receiving mine soon.
Hey Guys, where did u order the USB Jig from? I'm looking at buying one for myself.
Thanks,

Steps are very, very, VERY complicated....
1) Power Off GS2
2) Insert USB Jig
3) wait....wait for it...
4) done
reboot
Yeah you dont even power on the device. When you plug in the usb it will automatically boot your phone.

Just received my jig today, have a question though before I pop this in.
Should I use this before installing a custom rom or after?
Does it just reset the counter? Doesn't remove the custom rom or anything right?
Phone is brand new haven't flashed anything yet.
Thanks.
why am i so lazy to purches one! i guess ill wait a till im screwed
Got mine yesterday. Worked perfect.
Should I use this before installing a custom rom or after?
After.... though you can also use it to get in to Download mode initially but not necessary since we have the button combination as an alternative
Does it just reset the counter? Doesn't remove the custom rom or anything right?
It just resets the counter, it doesn't do anything to the ROM.
The jig is only for getting into download mode and reset the counter... thats it.
Got my jig for 4$ on ebay. And got it today and voila no yellow triangle anymore!

Samsung repair centres in the Uk and super hard brick, revive by USB JIG?

Does anyone know a website for official repair centres or locations in the Uk?
Also...I think I have a super hard brick as my phone is not responding to anything, PC can't detect it. Does that mean Sunsung won't know if I have flashed a custom rom and how many times?
Is it possible to revive via a USB jig and how?
Thanks.

Guess its possible if the connection drops in the middle of an installation and you`re stuck when the download might not be complete or corrupt, especialy when going from GB to ICS.

Here http://www.samsung.com/uk/support/repair/supportRepairSelfTracking.do?page=REPAIR.TRACKING
First register if you don't already have an account and request for repair. You will have the option to take it to a repair centre near you or send it to them for repair. I bricked mine when i flashed ICS, Binary count was zero but i had CMW installed. My phone was repaired free with no issues. I would advise you to just send it to them if your binary count has not increased. You will need to wait 2 weeks for repair though.
I was referring to the story I will tell Carphone Warehouse and Sunsung, I can't exactly go and tell then I flashed a custom rom that I made, they'll probably try and con me for begin so stupid for what I did.

Thanks for the advice, i've been flashing for ages now and never a problem, this is the first time I have ever bricked.
Btw...will they know my binary count with a hard brick?
I'm going to make a trip to Maplins tomorrow to buy a resistor and a connector to make a quick USB JIG before I send it off, sending it off is a last resort.
Pm me if you need any help sending it off and I will see what I can with regards a repair.

I had a superbrick, where the phone wouldn't even switch on (Also my first brick even though i've been doing it for years). So I couldn't reset any binary counters or restore any firmware to hide what i'd done. It was as it was, and I sent it off to Samsung and they replaced the motherboard FOC for me
USB JIG was no use. You may as well make yourself a JIG for future reference, but I think in this instance, it might be a waste of time.
All I said was, that I restarted the phone and after that it wouldn't switch on again - That was it. They replaced the motherboard for me

I doubt they will know if the phone does not turn on at all but if you can get to download mode so can they. And they will know your binary count from there. I have also been flashing for ages and this is my first time as well bricking a phone. It doesn't feel good at all.
I've went through the service centre and it needs to be sent off to Glasgow in Scotland, is it not possible to deliver it to a closer repair centre?

If you follow that tutorial as a guideline instead of following of step by step, and if you're trying to port a Sammy ROM, there's a good chance to succeed
But as I said, with this you can only port Samsung ROMs (obviously 4.1.1 base=4.1.1 port, and so on)
Tried to port SGS2 stock rom.
Followed step by step, flashed OK, bootlogo Samsung, then balck screen and hard brick.
Evene if I plug phone to PC and insert battery, it find something but keeps restarting so I cannot even use odin3.
So jtag or repair center.

Thats very bad news. Good luck
Doh! No download or recovery mode?
Yeah no download no recovery.
And I looked into ported rom and there is not kernel inside. Dunno what bricked it.
And for bad luck, Medusa Box broke last week. I planned to buy one next month.
But wierd is that if connected to PC, it show some device found, but keeps refreshing all the time.
Send it to my frined to jtag it, hope it will be ok next week.
Ready for next try with second phone. Hope not bricking this time again.
May the force be with you my friend
Galaxy S2 has Exynos chipset Galaxy S3 Mini has ST-Ericsson NovaThor chipset I wouldn't try it in a million years.
Thats why i am trying Xperia U.
Same chipset, almost same resolution. But it dont have JB yet
Maybe HTC Sensation? Shame I dont know those RUU numbers means what version of droid.
And all I want is change of system toggles:crying:

Return it and claim warranty, tell them that your phone suddenly went off and that you don't know the reason. They may replace the board for you.

Then it's up to you to convince your client to return it to Samsung for warranty. As for recovering his data, that is the hard part.

Do you mean the bootloader that needs to be written as T-Flash to a microsd using Odin 3.09 or higher? (as per 13-58_SM-N900_Boot_Recovery_Guide_rev1.0.pdf) Isn't that just the same as sboot.bin written raw to first sectors of microsd?
I would be interested to hear if you managed to use that just for the "extreme hacking" angle of it :good:

I do not think the microsd is enough - the Note3 ONLY boots from microsd if you short R4075 on the mainboard - there is a notice from Samsung service somewhere around with a name like 13-58_SM-N900_Boot_Recovery_Guide_rev1.0.pdf that describes the details (and comes with a good picture of what you need to short).

[Q] Phone only use is for the bin?

Hi members, (this is for the Galaxy y Dous GT 6102) i can not find thread for the phone)
I spent ages trying to find the stock firmware online to reflash on the phone, due to phone prob's, could not find it, and flashed instead firmware for GT-S5360 on to my gt6102...(Hoping it would be the same, as it's the same gingerbread)
Anyway, now I can not get into recovery mode, or download mode. When phone is on, screen goes bright white..
I guess it's safe to say phone it bricked well and proper, I am a plonker, and time to say good bye to my phone... Right???
Thankyou in advance for replies
Alex
Of course the sgy is not the same firmware as sgy dous
You can use a USB jig to access download mode and flash your stock ROM, or access it normal if you can, or just take it to repair center

if you have a white screen you need to go get your phone professionally repaired with probably a jtag
never ever flash a different phones firmware on your phone
all the firmware is on sammobile - you only had to ask if you couldnt find it
Thanks for your info' and help..
Will give the phone a burial. If I lived out side of the euro zone, would repair, though here it would cost as much as the phone new
