[Q] Galaxy S4 gt-i9500 on Mobilicity (Same bands as t-mobile) - Galaxy S 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hey Everyone,
I have the chance to purchase a Samsung S4 "international" version and wanted to know if I could get it to work on Mobilicity which uses the same radio frequencies as tmobile. I am comfortable with rooting and installing mods if any of that is needed.
I've attached a screen pic from the person selling the phone.
Thank you for any information. :good:

The one in picture looks like a fake.

question on galaxy s models

I have the gt-i9000m running on the sasktel network in canada. This phone is branded as a vibrant which I have learned it is not.
Is this the correct forum for such a device?
I'm trying to get these models straight but I'm unfortunately still quite confused.
Thanks all.

The Canadian Vibrant is the international Galaxy S with Bell/Telus/Rogers/AT&T 3G bands. This is the forum to use for it, the four US models all differ slightly in hardware.

Galaxy Note 2 - Canada

Hey guys,
I`m from Brazil and I`m spending some days in Victoria - BC. I want to buy a galaxy note 2 but I found only locked Galaxy Notes 2 with carrier. If I buy one is it going to work in Brazil? If I change the ROM to the international version or any Brazilian version is it going to be unlocked? The lte version works with gsm sim cards too?
tks all =)
Just buy International version N7100 or N7105,
It works in Canada.

Thanks for your answer. So you the 7100 will probably work in Brazil? And how can I unlock it? I can't find here any note 2 factory unlocked... Not even Samsung store is selling it :/. What If I change the ROM ,is it going to unlock the phone or its better to buy the 7100 and ask someone to unlock it?
I'll goto Vancouver this week to search a note 2

[Q] Considering to swap an I9500 for a T-mo S4

Hi,
I like my I9500 but I'm really interested in the T-mobile's LTE speeds in my area. So far I can get an HSPA+ (SF market) as most of the market is re-farmed with the 1900Mhz band but I'm not traveling as much as I've used to and I was thinking to switch to the T-mo's S4 for the LTE.
My question is related to ROM upgrades. Does anyone know (or can confirm) that the I9505 builds works on the T-mo's phones as well? In other words, will the SGH-M919 take the I9505 builds? or are there less, more limited builds that needs to be specific to the SGH-M919 phones?
In the past I had my SGS3 from T-mo and I remember that the international versions got all the goodies (such as multi-screen / split-screen) but T-mo never got those upgrades. I don't want to be in the same situation again...
Thanks in advance for your feedbacks
Gil.
Yes they do work, I'm on a I337 using a 9505 Rom

[Q] "Unlocking" AT&T S4 questions

Now I have had previous Samsung Galaxy phones that I have rooted and I'm very familiar with the whole process.
However, I have never used a phone that was bought for one carrier and used on another.
I'm planning to purchase an AT&T Galaxy S4 and using it on the T-Mobile network (wish me luck).
What would be the best way to unlock the AT&T phone to use a T-Mobile SIM?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2285431This is what I have found, but I heard something about a USB unlock being more successful.
Once the phone is "Unlocked", and I root the device, should I be using the AT&T ROMs section, or T-Mobile? I'm going to guess AT&T because they are somewhat hardware dependent?
Lastly, will this AT&T version limit my signal in anyway (not accounting for the already possibility of bad signal)?
Meaning the AT&T version only picks up the lesser of the T-Mobile bands or signals.
If I sound like an idiot, I apologize. I've done some research and cant seem to find the right keywords to search.
Thanks in advance for any information.

I am using i337 with tmobiles sim card. I get 4g at over 10mbs and even over 20mbs on some good dsys. I usually use att roms although I've found that i9505 and tmobile work too. Just have to stick with loki'ed kernels. Hope this helps.
It does, thank you.
So look for a ROM with Loki kernels?
And which unlock method did you use to get the T-Mobile SIM to work?
The one above or a different one
Thanks for the info

Will the Bell S3 work on Rogers/fido network & Unlock?

Like the title says it all, I'm about to sell my Galaxy S3 from Bell Mobility network to someone on the Fido network.
I just want to confirm that it will work? Also, I'm looking to unlock it, is there a good place to buy an unlock code? Don't want to waste my time to try the methods on here as I don't have the time to downgrade.
Thanks,
JP
This is the galaxy s4 thread not s3
