I have a few important question and I need help, please!
NOTE: I have the htc hd2 leo (american version)
1. a) When I turn on my hd2, the screen shows (NGR ENERGIZE)=> What is that?
b) Why the phone shows the (NRG ENERGIZE) and not shows the (HTC)?
2. a) What is the difference between NAND android and SD android?
b) Which android (NAND or SD) is better for my hd2?
Last question...
3. The best android (NAND or SD) ROM for hd2? (Jelly Bean)
The ROM should be stable, good, and fest??
Help please! :fingers-crossed: I will be very grateful! Thanks!

Seriously, all your questions are easily answered with a little effort on your part.

I'm going to answer the first question, because it's rather difficult to search.
1.
a: This is your phone's splash screen (instead of HTC white screen).
b: If I remember correctly, flashing a ROM doesn't overwrite the splash screen. Which means you flashed an additional splash screen after you had flashed Energy ROM, that's why it had become NRG.
Everything else, just search either google or xda and you'll find answers.
What is better? NRG or HTC splash screen?

It doesn't make any difference to the performance of your device. You can change it to whatever you like the look of best.

I want to install and play around with the Android ROMs that are available for HD2. I was wondering if there is a way I can make an image of my ROM as it is right now, and later on flash it back if I don't like the Android ROM on my HD2.
Save time and read the 1st and 2nd sticky posts on this page. Everything you need to know is all there. Also, I know rules are a b*tch, also explained there, make sure you follow them and avoid any incoming angry posts about not using the "search" function. To answer your question, Android runs off the memory card so windows is shut down prior to booting android, they're isolated for the most part. Hope that helps.

I know that Android runs off the SD card, but that was not my question. They recommend that a very light version of WM be installed prior to running Android and I can understand why. However, if I install the light version of WM I will loose whatever I currently have. That is why I am wondering if there a way I can create an image backup of my current ROM.
Are you running a stock rom? There's a sticky in the tmousa rom section with links to all the stock roms. It's easier to just grab a copy, you'll just need to back up your data.
Yes... I am runing a stock ROM. Any good backup apps to recomand that can backup my programs, settings and data?

I didn't change my WM ROM, it's shut down by haret. So unless you're having specific problems like that awful robovoice then you shouldn't worry about changing your rom. As for backup, I use SPB or Sprite backup, the latter my preference.
Sent from my Nexus One using XDA App
I use SPB...works the best IMO. I've actually had to use it a few times after changing the zimage...it seems to kill my sense every time I load a new zimage.
I get that bad robot voice, what to doo you recommend I switch to? I have a stock Rom right now with the latest radio.

Bump... I would like to know this too! Is it even possible to change the TMOUS-HD2 (LEO1024) splash screen to the standard HTC (LEO512) version?
You need to find the nbh file of what you want and flash it
Sent from my HTC HD2 using XDA App
but how? can you make it clear?
Have you found a splash screen? If so you just need to flash it like a custom rom
Sent from my HTC HD2 using XDA App
Just like any other device with a start up screen it is usually called a splash screen.
You can do a search for that term or just go to this thread
thanks alot...

For those who just want to flash the stock splash screens, I already have them in my sig.
I have the T-Mobile USA image, the WWE "HTC" image, and the image seen during the flash process.
Did you get it figured out ?

Hi
Newbie here... I've searched for this Q & A but ' haven't found anyone with this exact problem...
I've just bought an used but barely used HTC HD2 with WM6.5 from a friend of mine.
I wanted to have both Android and WM, so i did install RAFDROID HD 4.2 on my sd. Everything went smooth on the installation, but now i wanted that Android as my default OS. Every time i turn on my HD2, it loads automatically WM. Tried to install [APP] RunDroid-dual boot to Android [SD] or WM6, and even when i select Android as default, it will load WM first...
Anyone can help me?
Thanks
António

Can you help me, giving me a tip on how i do that? (it is mandatory that i maintain WM intact on the phone memory)
well if you want nand android than your WM will be gone.
but you can always reflash it back to WM later.
if you do not want WM to be gone you should maybe try a different bootloader

Right, you should try a different boot loader
try this: multiboot: http://www.mediafire.com/?nssn9v0ijoy3thv
You can install more than 1 android build on SD card.

HI, I'm running Android 2.2 Desire Sense from Nand. Magldr 1.3 I was wondering if I can download another Rom to my SD card from my phone and flash? I'm new to this so any links to download any great roms to my phone would help. Thanks in advance. Also, I believe windows is wiped from the phone and when I go into Rom Manager is detects my phone as an HTC Desire. I'm so confused.

Yes and No. It all depends on what system partition you have. If you want a new ROM on your phone you need to go choose one and read teh instructions.

There is all the roms you need in the dev section.
What type of rom do you want? ie what kind of build do you prefer, HTC Sense, Stock Android, Cyanagen Mod, MIUI ??

Well your confusion confuses me, what has windows got to do with rom manager?
Windows is gone yes, You installed MAGLDR which wipes windows allowing you to put Android on the nand in its place.
It says HTC Desire because that is the build you have installed on your device.
If you are new to all this I would highly recommend taking the time to go read some guides etc and learn all the info you need is there waiting for you. There is also a HD2 Toolkit in the NAND forum in sticky topic.
I'm a fan of HTC Sense. Sorry for confusing you, I'm new to this whole flashing thing. I've looked many times trying to find any kind of rom to download with no luck.

So where have you tried because you are obviously looking in wrong place if you cant find any roms lol.
You need to go into the HD2 Android NAND Developmet section.
If you like sense roms you should try this one..
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=931126
Its based on the stock Desire build but is more stable and has more features.
Are you asking if you can run to roms at the sometime similar to how a SD build works or are you asking if you can put a different new nand Rom on your phone because you would like to try out other roms?
Also if you look under hd2-android-nand you will find a list of roms you can download to your SD card to flash.

if you take a look at this link http://android.hd2roms.com/ you will find all the ROMs listed for the htc hd2 posted here on XDA. it will show you some basic info about each ROM like if its a sd or nand build, as well as give you information on if it has sence or not. definitely worth taking a look at.

You´d have to store the RUU.exe file directly on your SD card, then extract it, and finally save the ROM image file as "leoimg.nbh". If this does work with any Windows Mobile compression/decompression software, I never tried.
Or, if you do have HSPL on your phone, maybe it will work with any custom ROM, directly stored onto your SD card.

Why on earth would he want to do that?? That is to flash Windows Mobile.
Hes asking about Android roms, Hes basically asking if he can download a CWM zip file via his phone and then flash that without need for PC.
@ OP
Yes you can do this but ONLY if your system partition that you currently have is compatible with teh rom you intend to flash. For example some roms need say 150MB partition, If you try and flash one that has more it wont work.
What you would o if you have compatible partition is..
Download CWM zip rom
Power off phone (do not reboot it can corrupt SD on HD2 Android)
Power on phone
Hold power until MAGLDR menu displays choices
Choose AD Recovery
Wipe data/factory reset
Wipe Cache
Advanced>Wipe Dalvik Cache
Install zip from sdcard>Choose zip
Yes by far TheATHEiST instructions are the way 2 go. i might point out its worth keeping maybe the top 2 ROMs you like best on your SD if you have the space that is. this will allow you 2 go between ROMs on the fly.
Awesome!! That's the answer I've been looking for. Thanks so much!!!

So ill just find a rom and I can partition via rom manager, correct?
Sent from my HTC HD2 using XDA App
If you take a look at this post cmylxgo gives a very easy to follow instructions on how to flash his roms. he also supplies all the software right in the thread so you dont have to jump around and look for files else all over since its all in one place including how to flash magldr v1.13 & updating Clockworkmod Recovery Partitions. there are other threads that break it down even farther if you arent able to get it working.
In your opinion what is the best NAND Android OS for a HTC HD2
that is light on the battery? If you can provide the reason why and
what the build lacks.
Thanks
Depends on ur requirements but you can try this if you are looking for a very stable one with no frills, the battery is great too :-
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=905060
I tried it two days ago and everything works on it just like a native Android device, though it does not have sense on it so u have to use some stuff like ADW launcher etc from market place

Hold down the power button. In the future search before posting and if you still have to post then at least do it in a related thread rather than an old and random best ROM thread.
Personally, for me, the most normal - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2208626
Hello best friend. You've need "toolkit 4.2.0.1 HD2" and you've download this (free) program about 15 a 20 MB and run these onto your Windows 7 PC or laptop. Bootloader *phone off and press volume down and start up phone with volume down*. You will see a 4 colorscreen "red/green/blue and white" and into white screen says "SERIAL" wenn not connected with datacable and "USB" wenn connected datacable between HTC HD2 and PC. It's very important to use this datacable or you cannot upload other roms because mostly uploads are going via datacable.
